The house was as advertised and much more. It’s in a safe and quiet neighborhood with very friendly and always willing to help neighbors. We could not have enjoyed our stay the way we did without the comfort of the place and its close proximity to all the places we wanted to go and visit. It’s about 20 minutes drive from Banjul where we went several times for shopping and other transactions. Close proximity to Kairaba Avenue, the beach and some of the finest restaurants. Our host in the ground Omar was awesome and very responsive to our needs and he went above and beyond for us. If you live Gambian food like we do, coming from Gambia, The neighbor who lives opposite the home called Haddy was great and awesome. I would definitely book this home again if the need arises and would highly recommend it over the bustling and busy areas of Burusibi or Senegambia road homes.

En alles is van hoge kwaliteit, goed matras en katoenen beddengoed. en van alle gemakken voorzien. de communicatie ging snel en soepel. ondanks dat wij veel later aankwamen door vervoers problemen,was Rakey vriendelijk en beleefd. in de buurt zijn meerdere " buurtsuper s" waar je je boodschappen kunt doen, en iets verder lopen is de grote Markt.

Spent an amazing 3 weeks at Cuckoo’s Nest Apartment spotlessly clean, beautiful decorated with modern appliances giving it a real home from home feel More than ample up to date utensils for preparing and making your own meal. Great location to buy freshly caught fish and an array of fresh food stuff just a short stroll away at Tanji fishing village. There’s also a wonderful Bar and Restaurant across the road from the fishing village serving a good selection of food at great prices. Grounds in the apartment are kept immaculately clean by the House Manager Lamin, who works tirelessly to keep the compound clean and tidy. Lamin is a lovely young man with impeccable manners who’s always at hand if you need help. Great, quiet outdoor area for lazy days, beautifully decorated shaded area for alfresco dining and chilling by the pool. Would highly recommend anyone looking to book the Cuckoo’s Nest not to hesitate, can assure you won’t be disappointed. Looking forward to my next visit.

This place was very affordable, it was great to have own place and shared swimming pool that only I ever used. The power in the area goes out quite often and can leave you without power for few hours each day. It would be good if the security guard or similar maybe sent a text to visitors to make them aware that power is off as I would have stayed out longer if that was the case. No criticism of this as I only thought about this as an idea on my last day. Thanks for the hospitality

Musa was very accommodating and responsive to all of our queries when we needed the support. The house is very spacious and suited our family of 5 with plenty of space. The property is located on a newly built estate just a short drive from all the local amenities and the Senegambia strip which contains the more tourist side with restaurants etc. The property looks just like the pictures and is secured with fencing & gates so you can also park your car inside. The property is fully air-conditioned & has Wi-Fi. I would recommend staying at Musa’s property as it has everything you need to make the most out of your stay.

Ann was very professional and responded promptly to all of my questions. The house is beautiful and in a great location. My husband did have issues checking in on the first day due to a problem with the keys. But the issue was resolved. The only other issue was the presence of several roaches in the kitchen coming from behind the cabinets and from behind the stove. Overall I enjoyed my stay here. Some pest control and a better check-in process would make the experience even better for the next time. Will probably stay here again on my next visit.

The lodge is perfect for anyone wanting a place to get away from the hustle and bustle of Gambia, it has everything you need and plenty of space, the family living on site are perfect, they made our stay so much better, keep everything clean and helping us get about, we loved their company but they are very respectful of keeping out of the way, you wouldn't know they are there if you didn't want to. Questions we had are is there a safe, there isn't but with the family living there the compound is safe so not needed, another was is there a generator, again we found out it wasn't needed as the power only went out once and that isn't something that happens often anymore. Sangyang beach is beautiful and not far away and the shops are literally around the corner. The lodge is perfect for anyone visiting Gambia, we took a family but noticed a bird book on the shelf so it would be a lovely base for bird watchers too, the garden is a maze of beautiful plants and trees attracting lots of birds

If you wanna live near/like locals this is a great place. Not far from main road to catch taxis, food, beach. Electric going out for a short period time is normal so dont be suprised. They work hard to make sure everything is working and that you are comfortable. Tedugal is my home when I'm in Gambia

The apartment is located fairly close to the Senegambia strip where the main tourist hotels, restaurants and money changers are located. There is a very good local supermarket that sells all the commodities required for self catering. Nearby are a few restaurants but not a great choice. The beach access is quite difficult for anyone with mobility issues. There is a rough uneven track combined with a steep gradient before you reach the beach. Once you have reached the beach you can walk for miles in either direction. Alongside the property is the famous monkey park. Although several tourists suggested a visit there was little need as the monkeys came us us! Although they are cute to look at, care must be taken to avoid leaving doors and windows open as they will take full advantage.

I enjoyed my stay very much, it never became boring😉 but the reason why i would come back is the people who work there absolute good lads! Cheers

Dennis is a really kind person. Always listening to what we need and helping for everything if needed. I really recommend, his place is very nice and we feel like home. I just kept on extending my stay since I was so comfortable there. 10min to Senegambia so very well located. I will be back again for sure. Thanks for everything.

FATOU WAS THE BEST AIRBNB HOST IVE EVER HAD!! I spent the week at her beautiful apartment in Gambia, and I’m so happy with my choice. The flat is so beautiful and clean, with a furnished balcony overlooking the beach which was 2 seconds away. I was here for work and relaxation, so I could work from the apartment or downstairs at the bar and pool. Loads of shops and places to eat nearby too, making this a brilliant location to stay. Fatou gave me loads of recommendations of places to eat and things to do, she’s also super fast at responding and is lovely enough to go out of her way for people! If you come to Gambia, you have to stay here. Better than a hotel in my opinion ✨

I chose this apartment primarily for its location and security. It was exactly as I’d hoped. Beautiful views of the beach which was also easy to access. Unfortunately the sea was too rough for swimming but great for a bit of fun jumping the waves. Short taxi drive to Senegambia where you’ll find loads of bars and restaurants with varied menus to suit all tastes. Taxis are easy to access and very reasonably priced. Small supermarket a few minutes walk from the apartment. I felt very safe at this apartment. Very friendly security staff 24 hours a day. Bakary was also very friendly and helpful. The swimming pool was well kept and equipped with sun beds. The apartment was spacious with all 3 bedrooms with a good en suite. Well equipped kitchen. It was not a problem to us but be aware the apartment is on the third floor with no lift. It does add to the fantastic beach view of course.

I thoroughly enjoyed staying at Abigail's place. Her place was very clean and comfortable. The surroundings were beautiful and the ocean views were breathtaking. There was so much to do in the area, you'll never get bored. You can take a brisk walk along the beach, take a dip in the pool, or walk up to the Senegambia strip where you will find various types of restaurants and other festivities to take part in. There are also restaurants on the property, so you'll never have to leave the premises should you decide to stay put. To add to the wonderful environment, Abigail is such a wonderful hostess. She was responsive, kind and very accommodating. I would happily stay at Abigail's place again. Thank you Abigail! Hope to visit again soon.

If you want really enjoy life in Gambia ,you are in right place.This isnt turistic area, it is real Gambia for Gambian people,but you can enjoy european comfort as running water ,electricity almost non stop and internet. Location in map ,which show AIRBNB is not correct ,house is 7 km from beach ,but for your pocket it is better becouse area is much cheaper that coastal turistic places.beach area -you can go by TUK TUK for plus minus 20 dallasi(0.3 euros). It is walking distance to bus station and exchange offices plus market.

Debbie's place is the best Air BnB I've stayed in, in the Gambia. It is right by the water (the Atlantic ocean) with beach access and pools all around. It is a walking distance to many good restaurants and stores. The place is as described, beautiful relaxing environment, clean, home style luxury, and excellent services. Her house keeper (Nancy) and manager (Alieu) were friendly and went above-and-beyond in making sure that we had a good and enjoyable stay. Debbie was very responsive and helpful in offering recommendations for anything we needed. I highly recommend Debbie's place and will be booking again when I visit Gambia.

Mr. Jatta Thank you for everything. The listing was better than the photos. Beautiflly decorated, spacious, and included a generous welcome package. In addition, the kitchen is fully stocked to warm takeout or to make a home cooked meal. The location was ideal. Senagambia nightlife is a short walk down the street. Sĥould I visit in the future; I would love to stay for an extended visit! Mr Jatta you are very special, thank you again.

I thoroughly enjoyed staying in Awa's family compound. Everyone was very welcoming and accommodating. The market was in walking distance to buy food to cook. This spacious and beautifully decorated apartment had all of the essentials for our weeklong stay, plus nice touches such as plenty of mirrors. Also super easy getting transportation from the main road. Will definitely stay again!

Très beau logement, belle decoration et éclairage romantique, surtout autour de la télé. TOUT fonctionne et équipements complet. L'essentiel est déjà disponible, produit vaisselle, éponge, papier toilette, huile, vinaigre sucre café.... Bref pas besoin de faire les courses dans l'immédiat comme dans d'autres logements que nous avons déjà rencontrés. Logement et parking très sécurisé. Gardiens et bureau d'accueil toujours disponible. Bravo pour ce logement où on s'est cru chez nous.

What a beautiful place to stay. The apartment has everything you need to make you comfortable. Bed was comfy plenty of seating, washer was the bees knees. Kitchen was like home. The veranda was wonderful, 2 sunloungers, 2 zero gravity chairs and a table and chairs,so able to follow the sun. Plus the monkeys came to visit. The veranda made our holiday. Kololi sands complex has everything you need to have a wonderful holiday. Pool snack bar, restaurant, some entertainment, sunbeds overlooking infinity pool. Henk and Sheriffo were excellent hosts nothing was to much trouble for them. Excellent Hosts.

Excellent location with a lot of great amenities. Eyvind was incredibly responsive to any questions that I had. I felt right at home!

Great location, good apartment. Would stay again. Generator comes on as soon as power cuts which is great. Management are friendly and welcoming. Internet was the best and most reliable I’ve used in The Gambia, and the AC was strong. Very secure, and would certainly recommend especially if travelling alone.
