The cottage has all the comforts of home and has a private garden for guest's personal use. There is undercover parking, braai facilities, kitchen and streamed Premium DSTV and WiFi. It is a perfect place for avid hikers and those wanting time out.

It is accessible through 5.5km of unsealed road, 4WD is advised during rain season. We live 100% off the grid, windmill turbine and solar panels generate our electricity. Our micro-farm was set up to be energy conscious while allowing very comfortable and luxury accommodation. Lavender & Rust is a lovely self-catering house for 4 people with an old-warm charm in Clarens. A minimum of two guests. The double-storey house comprises 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, and a cosy lounge. For comfort on colder days, electric blankets, and heaters are provided in the bedrooms. Our Cottage is one of three units situated on a prime location, walking distance from the square, and right next to the hiking trails. Our cottage offers 1 bedroom with a double bed, fully equipped kitchenette, lounge area with sleeper couch and outdoor seating area. You are welcome to bring your pets along by prior arrangement as the back area of the cottage has its own fenced off little garden where your pets can play freely. Pet fee = R200 for cleaning
