Texas Wine Country Hilltop Glamping an Adventure a

ChloeRating, 5 stars55 months ago
An amazing piece of heaven. Peaceful, great views, stunning tents, private, great for social distancing with friends or family. Very well appointed and thought out. Definitely our favorite glamping site yet! And so many wineries, distilleries, brewers and cider houses to enjoy nearby. Take the drive through Pedernales State Park if you're coming from Austin to get into the mood. Thanks Jan and Cianna.
The interior of the Sanctuary Tent features warm wood paneling and a ceiling adorned with antlers. A cozy blue sofa is paired with two wicker chairs, while a modern wooden coffee table holds a decorative plant and magazines. Large windows illuminate the king-sized bed in the background.

Yurt #1 with A/C + Fire Pit, NEW Discounted Rates

UdayanRating, 5 stars25 months ago
The location is just as described. The yurt was pretty comfortable thanks to the fans and air conditioning. The kitchen was stocked and even grilling material was aplenty. There were smore sticks as well. Bathrooms are spacious and clean. Nearby, there is great Texan bbq and horse riding. Highly recommend.

Fabulous views, lovely toilets and shower and close to the National and State parks just above the Terilingua Ghost town. A Great option for camping. Marc was a great help sorting out which of his spots was best for our mix of a car and 2 solo tents.

The camping grounds are just outside of downtown on the hill overlooking the sunset in the evenings. At night it can get extremely windy. The bathrooms are very tidy and convenient. The land is well kept and the host, Marc is very helpful and friendly. I would love to return to this spot again in the future.

Yurt #2 with A/C + Fire Pit, NEW Discounted Rates

ColinRating, 5 stars37 months ago
We had a blast at Green Acres! We happened to be the only people there and had it all to ourselves! This was our first time glamping and even in with temperatures in the mid 90s - the shade and the yurt were still cool enough to enjoy, and the yurt got down right nice and cold at night! We wondered into town for some breakfast, and again later for some BBQ but couldn't help but just fully relax out at the camp site. We cant imagine a better escape/unplug and recharge. We were immersed in nature, and even if it were a busy weekend, the way the sites are set up feel individual and private/secluded. Everything was clean and set up/ready to go. We cant wait to return for our next get away.

Luna’s Landing.

Fun. I liked the space theme for this place from the shape of the shelter to the star projector inside. If you are looking for a place off the beaten path, but not too far from town, this is your place. It is a few miles from town but there is a restaurant a walk away if you need.

Hill Country Gypsy Outpost Glamping Tent

ShannonRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We really like the spot! It is a remote spot in the beautiful hill country of San Marcos. We arrived at night so it was a little difficult to navigate to the tent but overall doable. We liked the off the grid feel and was perfect for the night for us ( fyi to other guests that there is no electricity or hot water). We had a campfire and relaxed under the stars!
A spacious loft area showcases a large triangular window framed by wooden walls, offering a view of outdoor seating on a deck. The textured area rug adds warmth to the space, while natural light illuminates the interior.

I took my girlfriend here for an evening away from our roommates, and we enjoyed every bit of it! The accommodations were gorgeous. The peace and quiet was a great change of scenery. We spent a great deal of the evening in the hot tub, looking at stars. Shannon was an awesome host and we are definitely going to be back!

“Glamp like a Champ”

JuliaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
The glamping tent is amazing, set up in a great spot. The size was more than comfortable for 2 people and a dog. We saw goats, cows, chickens, bass, catfish, perch, turtles, cardinals, hawks, cranes, rabbits. The fishing was fun and ACTIVE because it's catch and release. All the little extras you're afraid you won't take with you, they are there already. Comfortable bed/furniture. The daytime temps outside were around 100 which made it pretty warm in the tent, but as soon as the sun set..the a/c cooled off the tent so much, we needed the bedspread while sleeping. BIG THUMBS UP! Watch the sunset on the lake, build a fire, listen to the bullfrogs as you star gaze, grill outdoor and play games, this place has all that and more. Jeff is a great host, friendly and accommodating. Checked on us a couple times via phone to see that we were doing alright. We can't say enough good things. Very private, and absolute gem! Can't wait to come back!

Private family friendly getaway near Big Bend

StephRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We were two couples travelling with a 1 yo and a 2 yo. Group consensus is that this was a great AirBnB experience. The sleeping tents were both set up well with comfortable mattresses, rugs, and nice wooden furnishings. The tents were clean and stayed relatively cool in the desert heat (while also being outfitted with propane heaters). The kitchen tent was also very clean and everything we needed was provided to cook and to bbq on the charcoal grill. The outdoor seating areas were beautiful and comfortable. As far as outhouses go, this was a really nice one. We also made use of the shared shower area; it was very well built. Overall we felt like the hosts really put a lot of thought into what would make a comfortable stay for guests. Touches like Big Bend hiking guides, daily cleaning, and very prompt responses really made this a 5 star stay. We will be recommending this property and hope to return ourselves.

Safari Tent at El Cosmico

HugoRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
I had so much fun staying at the tent. The mood was cozy, adventurous, and peaceful Even with wind, the tent is steady and secure. It’s just like camping with with the comfort of a bed and outdoor restrooms with running hot water. I will definitely come back. Like other reviews mention, you can listen to the train in the distance, but nothing that makes it impossible to sleep. I played some moody lo-fi music on the provided speaker (on low as to not disturb neighbors) and that helped a lot! Overall comfortable room, beautiful premises, friendly service, and cute lobby! 5/5!!

I booked last minute the day before, so I felt lucky to find it, but on arrival, it was truly beyond my expectations. Such a beautiful, peaceful setting. If you are looking for a romantic, luxurious ‘safari-like’ vibe next to an awesome state park, this is IT. If it’s under 40*f, be prepared for a cold, standup, outdoor shower with indoor tub/handheld shower only-great water pressure. Helpful to be knowledgeable re: Yurt function/closure in case of inclement weather/temp. Superb quality robe (1) /towels/linens- bring your own washcloth. I couldn’t find one, but maybe just missed it. Compressed towels were super cute. We slept so well in the uber comfortable bed. The outside sitting area is perfect for star gazing and relaxing with a glass of wine. Love the string lights. This is a clean, well maintained property, we felt right at home, and the friendliest town ever is only 12-15 mins away. Pedernales park is across the street-yay! I highly recommend staying AT LEAST 2 nights minimum.
An open outdoor space is featured, with a picnic table sheltered under a shade sail. The area is surrounded by desert terrain with sparse vegetation. An outhouse is visible in the background, framed by a backdrop of distant mountains and a partly cloudy sky.

Site #5 View of the Mountains

MasonRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Tiffany was awesome. She let me change my reservation last minute due to dangerous winds and she was super friendly. With this spot, you get what you pay for. But compared to other sites, this is a great deal because of the outhouse, trashcan and wifi (despite having to travel for it). Other locations in the same price range will not have those extra amenities. Overall I would recommend Tiffany’s campsites.
An open-air deck is illuminated by string lights, creating a relaxed atmosphere. Hammocks are suspended between wooden beams, while a circular table with high chairs sits centrally. Comfortable lounge areas are arranged around the space, all under a thatched roof, against a backdrop of a twilight sky.

Tree Line Vista at Estes Preserve

DeborahRating, 5 stars7 months ago
The Treeline Vista is perfect for a restful personal renewal or a fun family weekend. The trails are varied in woods, prairies and sun and shade. Deer are everywhere. It's fun to hear the coyotes yipping after dusk and the barn owls hooting. Don't worry, the wildlife won't come near you. It's perfectly safe. The private bath house is wonderful for a hot shower after a day on the trails. They have a high-end composting toliet which is civilized enough for people afraid of "going in the woods" and is environmentally responsible. The fire pit is far enough away from the tent to keep it from smelling like smoke. Picnic table, lounge chairs, patio table and chairs + rocker outside. Two comfortable chairs, cozy bed and a double twin trundle bed, plus a chest of drawers full of goodies for the kids to explore nature. Also, large sink, plates, bowls and every kind of utensils are available for use. I just can't think of a better down to earth glamping experience than Estes Preserve.
A spacious interior of a glamping dome tent features panoramic windows that provide a view of the surrounding landscape. A comfortable bed is positioned in the center, accompanied by a cozy seating area. Natural light fills the space, enhancing the serene atmosphere.
