Comfortable, quiet, 52m2 one bed apartment in Lanesborough overlooking Lough Ree. This is our second home that we rent out when we are not using it ourselves. The Clonmellon Lodge is an 18th c. gothic mini castle recently restored, newly refurbished bathrooms and kitchen, all in one floor, with easy access to the grounds of Killua Castle. The Lodge can fit 5 people comfortably. There are 2 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. The first one with an ( American) Queen size bed, and the second with a double size bed. There is an office with a daybed that can sleep an adult comfortably, and it has a full bathroom next to it.

Really enjoyed the stay. Near Athlone on the Hudson Bay Hotel side (Watersports there very enjoyable, while Athlone is one of the nicest towns in the country in my view). House is spacious and vey well kept. Good base for the area; Caitlin provided clear instructions and was available to take calls. Would definitely consider coming back if doing something in the Athlone area.

She welcomed us in person and showed us around the house, provided information on the location and area, and provided some milk/treats/etc. House is like the pictures, great location, has everything you'd need for a few days.
