This is a small private rental inn with a renovation of a hundred-year-old earthenware storehouse in a town with a view of the two alps in Inagaya, Nagano Prefecture. The hotel is operated by two couples who run a design office.It is a space where we can design ourselves, create parts that we can create with our own hands, and develop the power to create our own lives, and explore the possibility of renovating earthenware. The 100-year-old old private house was renovated to create a comfortable and pleasant space while retaining its old-fashioned atmosphere. The interior is furnished with vintage furniture mainly from Scandinavia. Quiet location surrounded by fields and satoyama. Enjoy the leisurely flow of time in a modern old private home! Many come to Nakatsugawa for the Nakasendo hike, but there’s beauty in quiet, everyday moments too.

Ideal for hikers, it offers a bedroom, Wi-Fi, kitchen, theaterroom and bathroom. Walk 50 min (3km) to Tsumago-juku or hike 3 hours to Magome-juku. Enjoy Kiso River and mountain views. Near a bridge, park, supermarket (3 min), and convenience store (7 min). Notes: No smoking/pets. Train/car noise due to station proximity. Cold in winter, insects in summer.

Try the fire-heated goemon bath, cook in the kitchen or over the hearth, and pick seasonal vegetables from the garden. A place to slow down, breathe deeply, and simply be.

Fuji. *It's very suburb, and there is no taxi and Uber is unavailable, so you need a car to come and sightseen.(You need an international driver license to rent a car in Japan) There are livestock farms around the house. Sometimes smells like a barn for cows.
