If you like the simple, this is the place- no material luxury but you'll get it in peace and simple living where time becomes the luxury. Great hiking opportunities nearby. Beautiful cottage in the middle of nature without neighbors. Primitive, but works well! Nice sauna. Several fantastic hiking trails in the area. Nice restaurant at the hotel in Rysstad, when you miss a little luxury. Very sweet host who responds immediately and is helpful. Warmest recommendations from here.

It was our second holiday in Rauland and we felt very comfortable in Richard and Monica's house again. We were lucky with the weather. Every day we could enjoy the view of the fascinating mountains from the large terrace. The house is very cosy and the perfect place to relax after a ski tour. Richard and Monica are wonderful hosts and always very helpful. The central location of the house is ideal for winter sports and excursions in the surrounding area. We made it to the highest mountain Gaustatoppen this time and it was a great experience. Rauland is always worth a visit and we would love to come back.

Delightful, very relaxing, more than satisfied with everything. There are no clear words for our 11 days there. The house is fantastically secluded on a lake that is outstanding. From there you could do a lot of hiking, fishing and without end picking blueberries and snacking because the whole area is booming. If you look closely, you will find Moltebeeren. The house is lovingly furnished. There's just nothing missing. Getting water and showering is an experience, so we appreciate the daily consumption again. It was a pleasure with Henriette who was always in contact with us and always took care of our well-being. We were also informed of information about heavy rain. We rented the cottage with 3 friends for hiking to enjoy a quiet week in nature. It was perfect for this. The hut is secluded on a forest lake, is easy to reach on foot (700m from the car) and corresponds exactly to the description. In the surrounding area, you can hike wonderfully on a variety of single trails and even on rainy days there is a lot to see in the area. In the evening, you can enjoy your time at the campfire, barbecue or relax in the hut in front of the fireplace. Overall, a great experience!

Ivar was a caring wool host. He was thoughtful and made sure we were comfortable. The cabin was amazing. Absolutely deserted. We didn't meet a human. The peace and quiet was rewarding. We enjoyed the peace and nature was unique. A priceless experience in the mountains, in the woods, and by the lake.

Super clean, bed was extremely comfortable, had all the essentials from towels to coffee to saucepans, an amazing view, and Victoria was SO SO helpful and kind!!! Would definitely recommend and come again :)

Wonderful place, camping equipped with everything you need to feel at home. The sauna is “the icing on the cake.”

A lovely place to come to be able to unplug 100% from everyday life. Beautiful view. Also got a good explanation of where we could walk up on the oak map peak that can be highly recommended. Easy trip that took us a total of 1 hour. Only 10 minutes drive from the place. In addition to the view, the goats and dog Dagny were great entertainment from the window. Local cider and eggs from the hens helped put the icing on the cake for us. All in all a wonderful stay for a couple with child-free🤗

We were an adult and 3 kids aged 7-13. It was easy to find and the house is much bigger than it looks like in the pictures. Linn responded quickly and had even set out some Easter chocolate when we arrived. We enjoyed a mountain trip that was recommended and spent the Easter holidays on both the porch and inside the house

A very good place to stay for a weekend with a group of friends with a very pleasant environment. The provided kayaks are a very nice touch and it's very fun to try it ! 100% would come back.

Cozy little cabin. Listen between the bedrooms. the smallest bedroom was small. Great with enclosed marquee outside. Good opportunities for barbecue.

We were a family of 6 people who rented Karianne's cabin for a weekend, it's a cabin I can recommend further. We arrived at a clean and homely cabin, which had everything in order. Well equipped kitchen, good sofa, and spacious dining table. The cabin is on a slope, which was nice for the kids, who wanted to sle on the snow. The cabin had everything we needed to get to a weekend with quality time with the family. Nice to have walking distance to Cafe and shop. Karianne was quick to respond and easy to communicate with.

A beautiful and peaceful place of which we will keep wonderful memories! We immediately felt at home in this little cocoon by the water. Lots of charm, great tranquility and a soothing view. The cabin is also very well equipped; there is absolutely nothing missing! Thanks to Hanne for sharing this place!
