La Casa del Cocodrilo is a tropical retreat in the middle of Ixmiquilpan. The location is unbeatable: 5 minutes from downtown, 7 minutes from the hot springs corridor and close to shopping establishments, excellent food and atmosphere. La región si bien es semidesértica, de terrenos arcillosos, con flora de matorrales, mezquite, huizache, pirul, capulines y arbustos espinosos como el Xaxni; cuenta con diversas especies de cactáceas, biznagas, órganos, garambullos, cardones y otras plantas. En cuanto a la fauna, existen roedores como conejos, liebres, ardillas, zorrillos, onzas, tlacuaches, tuzas, reptiles y variedad de aves.
