A beautiful old house at a beautiful location. Delicious breakfast spread provided and a great selection of movies, games and books. The room itself was gorgeous, with everything needed for a short stay. Welcome gifts, bath salts and shampoo and conditioner included. Great and thoughtful service. Great location if you don’t have a car, Caract Gorge and the city each only a 20 minute walk away. Lovely to see other people in the common areas also!

Coco - Deluxe King Room at The Dragonfly Inn

Second time i've stayed here - same room. Very close to the airport, easy check in, very comfortable bed and great amenities. Loved the welcome goodies in the fridge and having access to all you need in the communal kitchen. Only thing i would say is noise from the nearby highway and guests in the kitchen - I'm a light sleeper so thats probably just me. Overall, great stay and lots of thought has gone into this place! Especially the welcome booklet - very handy local recommendations.

Incredible experience, and value for money, wish we'd stayed for longer! The rooms are full of character and are beautifully refurbished and spotless clean. The instructions are the most detailed, yet clear I've ever come across. Have already recommended to family and friends. We'll be back to visit this wonderfully unique place when we're back in Launceston 🙂 A great way to bring life to an 1800s mansion. So cool.

Lorelai - Deluxe Queen Room at The Dragonfly Inn

JohnRating, 5 stars7 months ago
The Dragonfly Inn was full of character. Our room was huge with a separate modern bathroom. The complimentary breakfast was very generous with heaps of choice from cereal, eggs, toast, fruit, yoghurt and hot drinks. Our room had a convenient fridge which housed a number of thoughtful food items like cold beverages and biscuits and cheese. The check-in, check-out system was so easy to use. We would highly recommend this guest house with its spectacular dining room and surrounding rose garden. Thank you Tom, Bec and your crew.

Standard two bedroom unit

Jesse Dean BelaRating, 5 stars5 months ago
From my understanding the large high pitched roof barn has been modernly converted into 4 seperate dwellings, the bathrooms are modern and well equipped, main bedroom had a double bed and seperate room had 3 single beds for small adults or children, there is a fridge, microwave, tea, coffee, kettle, everything you need, the price for a busy time of year was very affordable considering the modern accommodation. Pros: peaceful atmosphere. great host. renovated accommodation. 1 hour from Hobart and great location to drive to see any area of Tasmania. breakfast if required 8am to 930am. dinner can be booked at the main house, 30 second walk from accommodation. fully stocked bar at the main house. golf course and interesting history. cons: bed was not super comfortable. thin walls can hear other guests talking and snoring. Overall 9/10 experience and Peter the host was very helpful, kind and informative.
A vibrant hallway is highlighted by bold red walls and wood accents. A staircase leads to the upper levels, while a small chair and a decorative mirror are positioned against the wall. A patterned rug covers the wooden floor, adding warmth to the space.

When we arrived we weren't aware that we are staying at THE OLDES AUSTRALIAN GOLF COURSE!! HOW AWESOME. Shame time didn't allowed us to play game of golf but we will return in future to do it. Greg's property is amazing and offers lots of beautiful sites to see and experience the rich history. The host Jo was exceptional with his hospitality and he showed us around the property. We were more than in awe. The cottage was beautiful and we had amazing time even that we stayed only one night!! Highly recommend
The interior features a spacious bedroom with a double bed and a cozy seating area for two. Natural light enters through a large door and two windows, highlighting the wood flooring and stone fireplace. A textured rug adds warmth to the space.
