Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Tarrazu

If you're looking to truly unplug and immerse yourself in nature, this mountain getaway is perfect. The fresh air hits you the moment you arrive, and the views are absolutely breathtaking. Mornings were my favorite—waking up to the sounds of birds and sipping coffee while taking in the peaceful surroundings was unforgettable. The house itself was spotless and well-maintained, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It's definitely remote, so I recommend a 4x4 to get up the mountain road safely, but the tranquility once you're there is more than worth it. Left feeling refreshed and recharged. Highly recommend!

Necesitábamos unos días de descanso fuera del ruido y la rutina de la ciudad, y en esta casa encontramos mucha paz, naturaleza y tranquilidad. Además de unos perritos súper amistosos y acceso a servicios básicos a unos 10min de distancia.

This is a beautiful house with everything we needed. The views are beautiful as well. There are some neighborhood dogs that can bark at night (not every night) so bring your ear plugs. We would definitely stay here again.

Que lugar más mágico! La atención fue espectacular y el lugar está ubicado con unas vistas impresionantes. Muy barato el precio para el lugar tan lindo. Bastantes toallas y cobijas para el frío.

Very nice owners, they drove us to the cabin from the main road. They helped us light the wood fire stove. We could use the washing machine for free. Esmeralda left a lot of food items for us, that was very sweet (homemade bread and sweets, milk, ...). We hope to be back one day

Super endroit pour un séjour dans la région. La maison de Alvaro est magnifique et très bien équipée et Alvaro à rapidement répondu à nos questions. Nous recommandons ce airbnb sans hésiter.

Truly an incredible, quiet, peaceful Costa Rican experience. Great for families, especially those with younger children- space to run and play, stocked with toys, and -a true treasure in CR- has a more powerful washer and dryer for “resetting” if you’re on a longer trip and need fresh clean clothes. The road in takes courage and potentially a 4x4 if you’re not used to driving the terrain like a Tico. Hosts are among the top 1% of all AirBnB hosts globally- intuitive, clean, accommodating, extremely well organized. Cooler weather and fewer mosquitoes than in other areas of the country. Best stay we have had in many trips to the area- thank you!

This was a great place to stay, we would definitely do it again! The communication process before arrival was good. The caretakers were very friendly and very helpful. The house was huge, luxurious, and had amazing views. All and all our family had a great couple of days at the house. Having said all of that, there were a few cons: -The road to get to the place was horrible, it was muddy with a lot of potholes. -There are chickens in the back yard. Some people might like that, but the rooster would crow in the middle of the night and wake us up. -The house was "surface" cleaned, but it could definitely use a deep clean. The fridge was dirty, there was a lot of dust and dirt under furniture, etc.

Cindy’s condo is the perfect retreat for a family, or for a group. It is incredibly spacious, with more room than the pictures can show. The view of San Jose was gorgeous day and night. The pool was public to the condo, and was heated. The drive Into San Jose was a touch longer than expected, but that was no biggie due to all of the other amenities. Lots of balcony space, on multiple levels have great indoor/outdoor experiences. Definitely would stay again.

El apartamento de Sara es hermoso, muy cómodo y muy bien equipado. Sara fue muy amable con nosotras y estuvo pendiente por si necesitabamos cualquier cosa. Nos encantó y definitivamente nos volveriamos a quedar

Our stay with Monica could not have been better. It was the little touches that contributed to a great stay. There were fresh eggs from Monica's personal hen house. We enjoyed feeding our veggie and fruit scraps the chickens each day. The jacuzzi was just the right temperature with an amazing view of the surrounding hills. Feeding the coy in the pond was mesmerizing as they came in large numbers to be fed. The shared living area was comfortable, and the large outdoor seating area was used by us every day to watch numerous birds and identify them with an app that identified them by sound. The highlight of our stay was a tour by Monica of her lovely gardens that were filled with many plants we were unfamiliar with. We are certainly hoping that we can visit again when we return to Costa Rica.

We just came back from a week in the beautiful rainforest villa…it was heaven on earth! What an absolutely gorgeous property. Comfy beds, wonderful space for 4 kids and four adults (could’ve fit another family too), daily macaw and toucan visits on the balcony, wonderful housekeeping and the best pool. From the moment we booked, Hazel reached out to help us seamlessly setup all transportation and activities. She was proactive, very communicative and had everything setup for us without issue. Jorge then met us at the home to welcome us and was available for anything we needed throughout the trip. Jorge and Hazel made our trip so easy and fun…thank you! We hope to return again in the near future…absolutely loved our trip!

Precioso lugar para una estadía fuera de la ciudad ! Wanda fue una excelente anfitriona y nos ayudó con todo lo que necesitábamos. La casa es mucho más linda que las fotos , en medio de cafetales y en una zona muy segura ! Tenía todo lo que se necesita y más ! Gracias !

Anfitriones espectaculares, rápidamente se convierten en tus amigo! Andrea, su familia y su casa son una experiencia única. La vista, el salón de entrenamiento y todas las utilidades dentro de la casa son dignas de una casa de lujo, la seguridad inigualable y la privacidad del lugar te permite disfrutar del aire fresco y la vista a toda la ciudad de Cartago. Nota: Despierten en la madrugada y salgan al balcón de la habitación principal! Me lo agradecerán

Dit was ons laatste verblijf tijdens onze reis door Costa Rica en het was echt de perfecte afsluiter! Het huis is prachtig gelegen in een schitterende omgeving. Alles was tot in de puntjes verzorgd: de kamers en badkamer waren zeer schoon, het beddengoed fris en het zwembad uitstekend onderhouden. De keuken was volledig uitgerust met alles wat je maar nodig hebt – iets wat we in andere accommodaties soms misten. Denk aan een blender, scherpe messen, dunschiller, snijplanken, borden, kommen, enzovoort. Het maakte het koken hier echt aangenaam. Daarnaast waren de hosts ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam, vooral bij het plannen van activiteiten. Een absolute aanrader is het inhuren van een privéchef. Wij deden dit voor het diner en het was een geweldige ervaring – alles was tot in de puntjes geregeld en heerlijk verzorgd. Kortom: een toplocatie (met veel toekans, super leuk!) en een prachtig huis. We zouden dit verblijf zeker aanraden!
