Amazing place! If you're looking for a calm stay away from the most touristic areas this is it. Lovely decorated and close to a perfectly empty beach. We really loved it, hope to be back soon. Can totally recommend this place especially for families.

Hôtel très bien situé sur la belle plage accessible de Matemwe. La piscine a été très appréciée des enfants. La chambre familiale est spacieuse, fonctionnelle et propre, des serviettes de plage sont même fournies ainsi qu'un coin café. Le personnel du restaurant est serviable, le petit-déjeuner complet. Je recommande vivement cet hôtel. Merci pour ce beau séjour.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Susan's place. Susan is a wonderful and welcoming host. The cottage is clean, stylish, and wonderful. It met all of my needs: cleanliness, security, privacy, comfort, simplicity. I also liked that it was my responsibility to pay directly for electricity and cooking gas. There are clothes lines for hanging laundry. The nearby garden was enjoyable to look at. I liked the table on the covered porch and frequently sat outside to eat, talk, or study. It is centrally located near the major transportation hub of Makumbusho. The nearest daladala stop is "Sayensi." Within walking distance of 30 min is Msasani Beach, Mlimani City Mall and two markets (Kijitonyama and Mwananyamara). Potential visitors, who might be easily annoyed by loud noises, should be aware of the neighboring church which has loud passionate daily services amplified through outdoor speakers. The services were typically 5-8pm daily, with electrified music, and usually all-day on Sundays. I recommend Susan's place to anyone and would love to have the opportunity to stay there again.

An incredible stay at Mbuyuni Beach village. With great sea views, easy beach access and delicious food, this is the perfect stay in Zanzibar. Midway between Paje and Jambiani, you can explore the towns quite easily and always find your way back for a cold Kilimanjaro beer and a comfy bed.

Amazing place. Beautiful pool, great location right at the river and in the middle of the nature. Super friendly and helpful staff. Nothing to complain about, we had a perfect day at Ngalawa camp.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Golden Hour Tiny Home. The house and the garden were serene and the staff were friendly and willing to assist with any need. The area was a quiet village, but also quite close to the city and to many outdoor activities. I highly recommend staying at this home!

We zijn voor de tweede keer hier geweest. Deze keer 8 dagen. We hebben genoten. Het super lekkere eten, de gastvrijheid, de omgeving. Alles klopt. De strand is ongeveer 15 minuten lopen. Verder geen drukte. Alleen in de avond het geluid van Bush babies af en toe. Het was super. En wat een team staat er. Alles is of wordt geregeld (excursies, taxi enz) en heerlijk eten. Kortom ook nu weer genoten! Bedankt!

This place was really nice! The staff were lovely, super helpful, the food was very good, and they can help book trips at a competitive price! We couldn’t ask for anything better. Super recommend, would go again :)

Super nette Rezeptionistin Wunderschönes ruhiges Resort Das Essen war immer sehr lecker (falls man dort einen längeren Aufenthalt hat, wird die Speisekarte langweilig), sehr saubere Zimmer - der Deluxe Bungalow war der Hammer Highlight: tägliches Lagerfeuer mit Blick aufs Meer Auf meiner 3-wöchigen Reise durch Sansibar, war dies das beste Hotel! Sehr zu empfehlen!!

Kasim, Juwe, Isabella alle super liebe, nette Menschen ..haben auch immer sofort reagiert und geholfen. Meine Tochter hat sich total wohl gefühlt..alle waren so kinderlieb…auch die Tiere ;) Schöner, entspannter und aussergewöhnlicher Ort!! Das Essen war sehr gut. Der Weg zur Unterkunft war etwas holprig und der Strand etwas schwer zu Fuß zu erreichen. ( mit 5 jährigen Kind) ..aber die Jungs organisierten uns immer schnell einen Fahrer. Leider mussten wir aus gesundheitlichen Gründen früher abreisen.

I would definitely recommend upgrading to the larger house if your budget allows. I stayed for 4 days and was upgraded to the larger one on my last day. I appreciated the AC there (though small one has a plug in fan). also there is a primary school across the wall from the smaller one. Either location know you will be immersed in the sounds of the city: call to prayer, busy nearby road, looong church services on Sundays. All from a lovely secure location with a wonderfully helpful manager!

Wow! What a fantastic place! Absolutely picturesque. Every member of staff always had a big smile on their face, and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was a pleasure each morning and the lunch and dinner menus were great. Whether it was by taxi or tuk-tuk, travelling around Jambiani and Paje was cheap and easy. We couldn't have chosen a better place to stay to relax and unwind. Everything was "pole-pole" ( slowly-slowly) and " Hakuna Matata" ( no worries), which is exactly what we needed. Venessa was a wonderful host, and her help and support when we had flight difficulties was second to none. We had the most incredible time, and can't wait to return again.

Kalongo Farm is an amazing place for a rewind and peaceful vacation. The place is located on a 25-acre property surrounded by mountains and trees. They produce most of their cooking supplies from eggs, fish, veggies, avocadoes, bananas, and milk. You can walk around the farm and learn their farming practice. I got a chance to chat with the owner Bernie since and told me the story of the farm, very inspiring.

Roxanna kept my gf and i as free and comfortable as ever and guided us well. The bungalow is very comfortable with a giant fan thats just as good as a/c(i was worried). Its 30 secs from the beach with action but tucked in the quietest nook

Serenity reloaded. Absolute peace, woke up to birds chirping by my window. Annette is quick to respond, awesome experience. I will be back.

Die süßesten Mitarbeiter, die ich je kennenlernen durfte. Die Zimmer wurden zweimal täglich gereinigt und das Essen war einmalig. Die haben jedes Menü nach meinem Wunsch umgesetzt.

Ich hatte einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt bei Claudia und Mustafa. Mir wurde jeder Wunsch von den Augen abgelsen und Mustafa hat sich sehr darum bemueht Aktivitaeten wie zum Beispiel Schnorcheln zu organisieren oder mir sonstige Empfehlungen in der Gegend zu geben. Ich kann diesen Aufenthalt wirklich jedem empfehlen, die Lage ist unschlagbar! Vielen Dank fuer alles.

Valentina is a really nice person and the place is great. If you want to stay far from the noisy city and you love nature this place is for you. The bedroom is made with wood, it is really clean with fan, electricity, the bed is huge !

Een oase van rust, schitterende uitzichten, vriendelijk personeel en een prettige kamer. We hadden ons geen prettiger verblijf kunnen wensen. Afya Village ligt op een vrij afgelegen plek en de weg vanaf Stone Town is ver en soms beetje onduidelijk, maar het dubbel en dwars waard. Op de punt van de zuidelijke monding van de Chwaka Bay bevind deze plek zich aan een prachtig strand, waar met vloed de golven tegen de klif slaan en met eb er een rotsachtig strand van zo’n 100 meter tot aan de zee ontstaat. Er is ontzettend veel wild leven te zien en in de drie dagen die mijn vriendin en ik hier besteed hebben, hebben we onder andere vliegende vissen, zee-egels en talloze krabben gezien. Wij hadden de Baru Baru kamer gehuurd en het was een simpele kamer met groot bed en aansluitende badkamer. Buiten het hoogseizoen om gebruiken ze zonne-energie en heb je geen warm water. Al met al heerlijk eten, lekkere bedden, personeel dat zo ongeveer 24/7 voor je klaar staat en prachtige uitzichten!

Un petit coin de paradis les pieds dans le sable. Nous sommes restés une semaine et chaque jour nous nous émerveillions de la vue sur l'océan indien ! La plage est directement accessible par un escalier d'où un ensemble d'activités est possible : snorkeling, plongée, sortie en catamaran traditionnel en bois, restaurants ("the rock" notamment mais aussi beaucoup d'autres restaurants d'hôtels plus abordables et accessibles même si l'on n'y séjourne pas), canoë... Pour le kitesurf il faut se rendre à Paje à environ 20min en scooter, un peu moins en taxi. Concernant la chambre et la salle de bain, elles sont simples et spacieuses, le ménage y est fait chaque matin. Le petit déjeuner est copieux (3 formules au choix) mais le service un peu long (idem pour le déjeuner / dîner). Anne, la propriétaire, est réactive par message et disponible une fois sur place puisqu'elle est présente chaque jour. Nous recommandons son logement sans hésitation ! Chloé et Julien
