Nature eco lodge vacation rentals in Tanzania

Everything was perfect. Very friendly staff, good food, clean bed and bathroom. But for the room that was really very small paid double as our neighbor, who had a room three times as large. However, we were right on the sea with the sun lounger in front of the property overlooking the sea. Even on New Year's Eve, quiet and familiar. All in all: We'll be back! Jamal and his team go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable here!

Highly recommended if you are looking for a beautiful and really special around Kilimanjaro. The place, the rooms and especially the view are simply stunning. It is the perfect mixture between comfort and friendly community vibes.

Really magical place, full of peace and respect for nature and people. There are doing a great job to help protect the environnement as well as the people of Gongo village. The staff does an amazing job, they make you feel welcome and provide you with a lot of information. All with the same smile, all day long. Just keep in mind that is far from a big road or city, the road is long but totally worth it! And there is no wifi and poor connection, digital detox, we called it 🙏.

Secure and quiet location. The Sisters are friendly and welcoming. There is always someone to assist with information if you need help or directions.

Amazing, very kind and helpful people. they helped us organized all transports and atractions. food they offer is great! even organize for us very early breakfest! recomend this place to everyone!!

We stayed at 6 different beaches and hotels on Zanzibar during this trip and this place was my favorite! Great patio for our kids to play on and we could walk right out to the beach. Local restaurants really close if you prefer not to eat at the hotel. A very quiet and peaceful beach too.

Atypical place lost in nature, right next to a small beach, if you need something, just call a local biker who will take you or drop you off what you want at home Dveer is very open I recommend

Great host, very responsive. There were some issues with water and internet but the host responded to them. The rooms are spacious and well kept. Would recommend it.

We stayed at this nice apartment in the middle of a wonderful garden for two days before starting a cycling tour through tansania. Maria and Gottfried helped us to organize our journey and gave us many hints which really helped to feel comfortable and safe during our tour. They served excellent breakfast and dinner and last but not least organized a great safari in arusha national park for us. on summary: great place, excellent hosts :)

This place has delicious meals and friendly staff to go with it. Irene went above and beyond looking after us, knew when to assist and when to leave us be. Milau the resident Masai took us on a great walking trip, we could walk as long or as short as we wanted. We ended up walking to a village and took a bus ride home, one of our best days of our four month trip. But the 7km dirt road to the place can be a bit difficult to use. Would highly recommend this place. Close enough to Crater and other sites.

This is a very special place in the mountains which exceeded our expectations! We were one of the first to book it on airbnb as it's just been put up,and are so glad we got lucky! This is truly off the beaten track, staying in a lodge on the mountain side with spectacular views, nestled among tea plantations, with many lovely hikes/walks nearby which the hosts can support with. All the villagers were extremely welcoming and the staff took really good care of us. For a little extra you can go full board (would recommend this unless you plan to cook as there are no shops or restaurants nearby) and the food was some of the best we had in Tanzania! There are currently three different cabins (or rather one is more like a lodge and the other are wooden cabins) each with its own design and character. Perhaps the most special part was opting to hike up to this place for 2 hours - with support from a guide who also helped with one of our bags. While it revealed our lack of fitness (!) it was a very memorable way to reach our accommodation...although it is possible to drive up if you ask the hosts and we used motorbike taxis to get back down at the end of our stay. Finally, we liked it so much that we then went straight on to villa matalai, the other beach side spot the owners have near Tanga, which was just as special. Overall, this mountain getaway is a good place to totally escape and switch off, and felt more like a homestay than a hotel. The owners have lived in Tanzania for decades, speak swahili and are clearly committed to supporting the local community. We couldn't have thought of a better way to transition from Arusha to the coast,and highly recommend staying at both of their places if you have time!

Our stay at the Hotel was great. We were welcomed with a drink and on the secound evening the chefs even cooked the regional speciality. I can recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to have a good time! The whole crew is very friendly, welcoming and attentive. They will help you with any problem and we could even book a safari trip through them. Thank you Mkomazi-Crew for this incredible experience! I will definitely come again when I come back to Tanzania😊

The place is simply perfect. It has a relaxing environment with a great view of the ocean. The rooms were clean and the host, Josephine was very friendly and hospitable For those visiting Bagamoyo, I highly recommend this place. I would definitely go back to this place a real meaning of heaven on earth. I just can’t wait for my next visit.
