Sora is located within the APPI Snow Mountain Resort area, just 2 minutes by car to the slopes and 5 minutes to the golf course. At the same time, you can access the bustling city of Morioka in just 60 minutes by car, making it a very convenient base for sightseeing in the three prefectures of Iwate, Aomori, and Akita in the Northeast. We recommend using a private vehicle to enjoy a relaxing vacation. The APPI Snow Mountain Resort area has shops, restaurants, and convenience stores, and there is also a supermarket about 20 minutes away by car. There are also great hot spring areas such as Matsukawa Onsen, and Hachimantai Ski Resort and Shimokura Ski Resort are also nearby. It is a cool highland area at an altitude of 900 m, so you can enjoy the natural air conditioning in the summer and a comfortable stay in the warm rooms in the winter. Enjoy the changing faces of the four seasons, with the fresh green leaves of spring, the cool highland summers, the beautiful autumn leaves, and the snow-covered landscape of winter.

On a clear day, you can also see the beautiful Torigasen mountain. Nearby is Roadside Station Shotoku, where you can enjoy seasonal vegetables and seafood. You can also enjoy the nearby beach with your family. You can also enjoy fishing and trekking activities. You can rent the entire building and enjoy it with your family or group of friends. The barbecue area is covered, so if there is no wind and it is only light rain, you can barbecue. Please refrain from booking if you don't like insects because they are common in this location. We can accommodate up to 8 people, but we only have bedding for 6 people, so if you have 2 more people, please bring your own bedding.

Halcoya Hanare, an inn to enjoy the trees

Shizukuishi Town in Iwate Prefecture is a tourist destination where you can enjoy Koiwai Farm, Lake Goshiki, ski resorts, and hot springs. 　Minpaku Halcoya is located near Lake Goshiki, overlooking Mt. Iwate. This facility was built using trees from the town to allow people to experience the warmth of living with wood.   　If you are interested in Shizukuishi life, want to relax in nature, enjoy time with family and friends in a different space than usual... please come and visit us. Halcoya Hanare is a separate building from Halcoya, and is an owner-less, entire home rental. This is a small, newly built house that can accommodate up to 3 people. * Please note that Halcoya Hanare does not currently have WiFi.

Cozy stay in Morioka– your home away from home

Welcome to Room Third floor　3005 at Himes MD! It is a 6-minute drive from Morioka Station. If you take the bus, it is a 1-minute walk from the nearest bus stop, Izumiyashiki, from Morioka Station. This room can accommodate up to 5 people. One free parking space is available. There are many restaurants and tourist spots nearby, as well as Morioka Central Park, making it a convenient base for sightseeing. Free Wi-Fi is available during your stay. Check-in is from 15:00 Check-out is by 10:00 am

Share Village Machimura

This is an old thatched house built in 143 years ago. The family that has lived in the house for generations has protected it, but it was planned to be demolished because of the financial issues in 2014. In order to preserve the original landscape of the satoyama for the next generation, we revitalize the house as a membership guest house. However, the activities were stopped due to the pandemic. In June 2024 we reopened the house as a private accommodation place (rental vacation house).

There are a Tatami room that can be used for a living room and/or bed room and another bed room with 2 full size beds. A private bath room and private entrance for the guests. There is a cute kitchenette equipped with a sink, electric water boiler, refrigerator and microwave. The living room is equipped with an A/C and space heater.

Next to our guest house,there is a Traditional restaurant ,you should try that. 武家屋敷のメインストリートまで徒歩3分、桧木内川まで5分さらに徒歩2分のところにコンビニや宿泊場所すぐ近くには70年続く地元の郷土料理のレストランもあり存分に観光をお楽しみ頂けます。敷地内に無料の駐車場も有り無料の自転車も3台貸し出ししております。さらに人数関係無くワングループオンリーですのでストレスフリーでご宿泊頂けます。

Guest house offers accommodation in a renovated rice granary of over 130 years ago. There is a our guesthouse about 20 minutes by car from the city.
