This accommodation is limited to one group per day and allows you to enjoy the beauty of the many islands in the Seto Inland Sea and the sunset. Designed by the host, an architect who has won numerous awards overseas. Not extraordinary, but a "delicate life" with the theme of enriching everyday life. You can experience that kind of life here. There is a separate indoor bath from the Hinoki bath, but the view of Setouchi and the starry sky from the Goemon bath, heated with firewood, is the best. If you're lucky, you'll see artificial satellites and meteors. The water heated by firewood never gets cold. It warms you from the core of your body. The bedding is specially ordered from a long-established bedding manufacturer in Kyoto, and the bath invites you to relax your body and mind and sleep soundly. Most guests say they sleep well. During the day, you might want to spend some time in the lounge filled with houseplants. Enjoy the sunlight shining through the trees from the skylight. Here, the right answer is to do nothing and just be. How about emptying your mind? If you request at least a week before your stay, we can prepare local food from Oshima Island and seasonal food that we can get through a special route. If you wish, you can also dine at a counter made of pure cedar, similar to a traditional Japanese restaurant.

Located in the middle of Onomichi, Nomura, and Shimanami Kaido, this accommodation is ideal for sightseeing in Setouchi. Across the beautiful curve bridge, the villa is elevated on the southern slopes of the island. This is a private rental accommodation where you can have a private stay while occupying the entire house and enjoying the superb view of the sea and the island from the large wooden deck overlooking the sea. If the timing is right, you may encounter a sunset that looks like it is on fire. The house was just several steps from the beach, and a gorgeous view of the bridge. Inside the house is a nicely furnished Japanese style home with all the amenities we needed, and the host was super nice and even offered us to buy drinks from convenience store in case we can’t drive.

A private sauna is presented with wooden walls and benches. A stone sauna heater stands prominently, reflecting the minimalist design. Large glass doors and windows allow for natural light to fill the space, enhancing the serene atmosphere. The area includes a water bath and a relaxing resting space.

Olivier and family are very welcoming and kind. We loved the homemade brioche, jams and local fruit for breakfast, along with the interesting conversation. The home is actually better than in the pictures and very comfortable. We spend one night there whilst exploring the islands by bike.
