“Really nice apartment, well equipped. The roof terrace is a real treat; having breakfast looking out over the coast in one direction and the beautiful mountains in the other direction. For us it was an ideal location from where we could enjoy the beautiful nature of especially the north, with a nice beach very near and roads to the rest of the island. Well accessible by car with ample parking space. We were provided with several phone numbers to reach in case we needed something, though we didn't have to make use of that at all :) No one spoke any English, so if your Spanish is lacking, it's advisable to keep Google-translate at hand ;)”
Great apartment in Roque de la Bodegas (Taganana, Anaga). Beach 1 minute away. Beautiful natural area (espacio natural protegido reserva de la biosfera).
“This place was absolute magic to my boyfriend and me. Waking up to the sound of the waves and having breakfast on the balcony with a stunning view! We stayed an additional night we didn’t want to leave. The kitchen is spacious and stocked which allowed us to cook most our meals there. I would stock up at a market near Laguna or Santa Cruz before coming as the little market in Targanana is quite small and limited. This area is quiet during the week.. we went to Benijo beach and did the coastal hike, incredible views with barely anyone on it! We will definitely return! Thank you!!!”
The White House is perfect for walk around the Anaga Rural Park and disconnect from the city. At only 5 minutes by car to the most beautiful beaches and 35 minutes by car from Santa Cruz Center. The Villa have 3 rooms, 2 bathrooms one of then with a jacuzzi, a big kitchen and dining room and a big sitting room. Around the villa is a garden and a big patio with barbacue and amazing views.
“All those 5-star reviews really do tell the story. Even though we had high expectations for this place, it did not disappoint even the slightest. Regardless of the currently unfolding situation with the COVID-19 virus, we were able to enjoy an excellent holiday in this perfectly isolated villa located in a nice small village of around 200 people. As a pure coincidence, this location proved to be a perfect fit for the social distancing required right now, so if that's what you have in mind hesitate no more! The villa itself has pretty much everything you could need, a shower, proper kitchen, proper gas powered BBQ, double terrace (on each side of the villa) to catch the sun all around the day, a private parking spot, multiple bedrooms, smart TV, indoor jacuzzi, and the list goes on and on. The location is about a half hour's drive away from Santa Cruz. You'll be basically climbing up a mountain first, going through its peak, and then lowering back into the Taganana valley where the villa is located in. The roads are regular serpentine mountain roads, so be prepared for that. The last about 500m through the village is quite narrow and there are some slightly tricky turns, so I'd definitely recommend renting a smallish car (we had VW Golf, no problems with that). The last ride from the public tiny road up the mountainside to the villa can be a bit tricky on the first go, but truth to be told it's designed in such a manner that you can safely even practice climbing it with the car without a big risk of scratching or damaging the car, so no worries there. Monica's and Manuel's hospitality was excellent as well, our flight landed very late around 11 pm and they drove all the way from Santa Cruz to the villa together with us, and showed us all the tricky drives and parts in the dark so that we wouldn't need to worry about them. The house had some basic stuff like coffee and bread already present as we arrived in the middle of the night, which was a super nice surprise as well. Monica also gave us a bunch of tips regarding the local foods to try and the nearby hiking locations, which there are plenty of! Last but not the least, the view from the main terrace is ridiculous. You can enjoy your morning coffee in the morning sun, and you've got a beautiful view from the valley directly to the sea. Plain 5 stars for everything, no complaints or problems whatsoever. I'd definitely recommend this location if you want a remote peaceful villa in the middle of nature, close to tons of hiking trails and mountains, but still reasonably accessible and very modern & well equipped. Thanks again Monica & Manuel, and hopefully we get a chance to stay in this place again next year!”
