Great place to stay! I would recommend it for its price point, location and nice host. Pros: - The host, Samuel, was extremely responsive and friendly. He offered lots of recommendations. - They proactively offered early check in. - Location is conveniently on the “tourist street” near the public boat docks, so it’s easy to get around. - Spacious living room. One of the rooms is also very spacious with modern AC. Cons: - Had water issues for about 90 minutes but Samuel resolved it quickly - Location means that it can be loud at night - Difficult to control shower temperature (there’s only cold, lukewarm and very hot)

I have never stayed on this side of the lake, but I have always wanted to. This place is a jewel of a property. I had an incredible visit. Service and communication is top-notch and it is quiet. I have been coming to Guatemala for 15 years and feel that I am an authority on these matters. Their dogs are very well behaved and quiet. the neighbors have no dogs or roosters and no early morning boats to wake you up. Being way off the road there are no motos, chicken buses or Tuk Tuks either. In the day, there can be some jet skiing or other private boats and helicopters, but they pass by fast enough. I believe their plan is to eventually have a restaurant, but it is worth noting that you will need to carry your food in on a 15 minute walk so come prepared for that. Very limited dining options in town. Water crystal clear and great for swimming. I’d give 6 stars out of 5 if that was an option. Will be returning. Easily the quietest and most peaceful place on the lake I have stayed.

An excellent place... the people who welcomed us were very friendly, we had a small problem we went to buy in the nearby shops to cook some dinner and they sold us out all but the people who received us on the Airbnb helped us a lot and gave us of their food are very noble people and good heart we felt like at home ... as a recommendation for those who go they should be careful with the curves

As everyone else said the photo’s don’t do the place justice and the view is gorgeous. It’s a little out of the way but it is peaceful and quiet to recharge your batteries and relax. Easy to catch a tuk tuk to local towns to stock up on food and there are lanchas (ferries) in local towns to go look at other villages around the lake. Beds were comfortable and the house had kayaks and paddle boards and a spa.

The accommodation is very nice, quiet and with a beautiful view. Access to the incredible lake. The accommodation has many amenities: movies, ball games, kayaks. The guardian was very friendly at all times. We'll be back for sure.

Fernando’s place is truly special. It’s tucked away from the tourist areas, offering peace, privacy, and sweeping views that are even better in person. The home itself is stunning—clean, beautifully maintained, and full of character. You can tell how much care has gone into every detail, from the architecture to the landscaping. The garden, in particular, feels like a quiet sanctuary. Fernando is a wonderful host—warm, thoughtful, and easy to talk to. He’s created a space that reflects who he is: kind, intentional, and welcoming. This isn’t just a place to stay—it’s a place to slow down and appreciate your surroundings. I left feeling grounded and grateful to have experienced it.

Our stay was incredible. I took my entire family Of 16+…. The views are breathtaking, with so many fun activities without even leaving the house. The hospitality was also a great bonus! Pedro, the house guardian is very attentive. Highly recommend booking Juliana for your breakfast needs, she was also great! 😊 Carlos, is great as far as communication goes, very patient and friendly. We all gave this place a 10/10 We’ll definitely be back soon! Ps…there are some massive stairs down to the pool/ lake. The walk down is easy but the walk up is some work! Be ready for some good cardio

Fernando is an excellent host and very friendly, he explained in detail all the activities we could do. I recommend the place for those quiet days on the lake away from the city, of course I would come back.

Great place! A little bit away from the town-so getting a tuk tuk can be a little challenging but not too hard. Place was clean and unique! Luis was great at communicating!!

Loved the location. This stay really stood out for us in our tour, and we enjoyed it. A bit far from the tourist places is very important to keep in mind, but a lovely quiet place.

Amazing place, the listing photos are beautiful but in person it exceeded expectations. The house is very spacious, with many environments so that, although there are many people, everyone can have their space. It has everything you need. The beautiful garden as well as the exit to the lake. Very close to Santiago that also the main street very nice. Don Eduardo is very friendly. He supported us a lot. Only place in the lake. There is nothing like it, neither those views nor direct access to the lake x private pier. The cabanas hot water, lanterns, kitchen, everything was clean and new. The best place without a doubt, and I have been touring the lake for some time.

Beautiful place right on the lakeside with private dock access. Rooms are small but has everything you need.
