A truly unique experience. Brand new, fully fledged studio apartment with ensuite bathroom, aboard a former freight ship turned into a houseboat. Breakfast, king-size bed (180x200), 40 inch TV with Chromecast, water cooker, hair dryer, .., everything is included. The KNSM Island is one of the hidden gems of Amsterdam, quiet and peaceful, but close to the city center. It is possible to sit outside on a private terrace and jump in the water for a swim. The sunsets are pretty spectacular as well.

The entrance to the house is communal, we live on the top floors, but the studio has its own entrance from the hallway and has private access to the garden with view on and entrance to a canal. The studio has a kitchen with basic cooking equipment (microwave, hot plates, pans, coffeemaker etc), shower, toilet and seating area to make your stay as convenient as possible.

This is one of the most fun airbnbs I have stayed in! It was lovely to be on a boat, and the Ship's Cabin is really well designed, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Sabine was an amazing host, very responsive and super-helpful, with lots of local tips. Nothing was too much trouble for her. The Ijburg is a really interesting place, with loads to see and do, and very easy access into the centre of Amsterdam. I definitely hope to come here again!

Mirjam welcomed us warmly upon our arrival despite the late hour. The room is very nice, quiet, spacious, bright, tastefully decorated. The little touches (tea, herbal teas, coffee, stroopwafels, wihlelmina) are appreciable and nicely enhanced our stay. We greatly appreciated the opportunity to leave our luggage in the room the last day before our departure, just as Mirjam trusted us by suggesting that we leave the keys inside the accommodation if she was not there for our departure. We can only recommend our host and thank her again for everything.

Jackie was very helpful and cordial at all times. The apartment is clean and beautiful with a lake view. It has everything you need, from cutlery to appliances. The location is very good, since just two blocks away you have the subway that connects you to the center of Amsterdam in 15 minutes. I highly recommend it!!

Mark is an exceptional host and a great person. The house was like walking into design/art fairytale and it was maintained so incredibly well. Everything was so well-maintained, carefully curated and well-placed. Truly a beautiful experience to stay there.

Ozzy’s place is a gem. The apartment is spotless, beautifully designed and incredibly well located. The train is quite literally at the door, which made getting around so easy. It’s in a part of the city that gives you a feel for local life…not too far from the center, but just far enough to avoid the overly touristy vibe. I loved that balance! The space itself is full of thoughtful touches, both calming and eclectic. It’s easy to see how much care has gone into creating it :) And then there’s Ozzy himself. A truly wonderful host. It’s easy to see why he has so many glowing reviews. He’s kind, attentive and genuinely thoughtful, with a calm energy and personality that puts you at ease right away. What made this trip even more special were the conversations we had…thoughtful, funny and unexpectedly grounding. I left this place not only well rested but v inspired. Ozzy and the space both have a way of staying with you... Highly recommend, and I hope to return.
