Excellent getaway in the woods for family, friends and dog-friendly! Checking-in and getting settled was a breeze! After touring the inside and outside of the property, I knew I’d have no shortage of activities and amenities provided by the host, as advertised. I spent half the week free and the other half working from the cabin. No inconvenience whatsoever for me or my dog and guest. We made the most of the movie and game room, listened to vintage records, got a great workout in on some downtime, and relaxed in the evening with great star viewing. Minutes away from great hiking at Minnewaska State Park where you can easily access Lake Awosting and waterfall, Napanoch point lookout, the Shawangunk Mountain trails and more. Good local eating at spots like Main and Mill, a dog-friendly restaurant/cafe. Can’t recommend this location enough and Stacy was gracious and responsive in communication throughout.

The cabin is lovely, with a great wrap-around deck overlooking a bucolic scenery complete with a river and cascades. Jessica was always helpful and responsive and the house is comfortable with a very well equipped kitchen which is unexpected in an Airbnb. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return!

Pictures do not do this place justice, comfortable beds and couch’s, clean kitchen and bathrooms, way more space than it appeared in the pictures. Hot tub was amazing on a few cold nights. We spent most of our time in the living room by the fire and making food in the kitchen. Marie’s home was more than we could have wished for, and the location was perfect, in nature but just a few mins away from town. By far the most comforting and relaxing stay we’ve had yet.

Our stay was perfect— we were in the area for our son’s college graduation. This place is a hidden gem. It is everything and more. The scenery is unbeatable. Careful attention has been paid to every detail. Steven is the perfect host—he is courteous and was always available. Highly recommend!

Good location quiet neighborhood. Home is charming has everything you need. If you’re staying with children house has a lot for the kids, games a playground outback and for the adults a hot tub. We were staying while our home was under renovation so we didn’t have time to enjoy the amenities. Lisa is very responsive , and answers all your messages in a timely manner. Alex’s home was a vintage design beauty! You could tell how much thought and detail he put into his home. The amenities were wonderful, including a gorgeous living room, great sound system, well-stocked kitchen, outdoor wood burning chimney, BBQ, and bucolic tree-surrounded hot tub (which we loved). But the best part was Alex himself. What a nice guy! He welcomed us at check-in with delicious freshly baked sourdough bread and homemade ginger cookies later in our stay. He also gave us fantastic advice on things to do in the area. Overall, you’ll love this home nestled in the CT woods!

I traveled to New Paltz for my daughter graduation from the university and the place was conveniently located. The house was very clean.

We enjoyed our stay at this cozy cottage in a quiet spot. It was clean and comfortable and easy driving distance to the event we were attending.

We had a great stay at The Pond House. Despite rainy weather, we enjoyed the wood stove and beautiful view. We found everything we needed for preparing meals in the kitchen and used the guide book for lighting a fire in the wood stove. Be aware of ticks in the tall grass! We found several on us after going on a walk.

Emily and Carol were wonderful hosts. They were responsive to our questions and provided great recommendations. Sitting on the balcony with the view of the trees and the lake beyond was tranquil. The living area is cozily furnished and both the fireplace and tv were easy to use. The nearby community beach was fun to visit and an added benefit of the stay. Great location with plenty of good food and small town charm!

What a magnificent spot! If nothing else, the creek next to the house was worth the price of admission. But the whole experience was fantastic. We filled the place up, and had a dozen more family members come for Thanksgiving dinner. It was cozy and the extra kitchen in the cabin was a godsend. We loved being there, and everything about our stay was perfect. Thank you!

We had an amazing stay. The house is very comfortable and Leah made things easy for us with a stocked kitchen and fridge. A huge bonus given we two kids and didn’t have to run to the grocery store. We would highly recommended this house. It’s close to great hiking areas and restaurants.

This AirBnB is the perfect mountain getaway for a group. The house has everything you might need to enjoy your time in the Catskills (fire pits, BBQ, Pizza Oven, well appointed kitchen, cozy living room). The area is quiet but not too remote. Highly recommend this stay, I would come back again the next time I wanted to stay around New Paltz / Mohonk.

Our family of four had a wonderful winter weekend at Erma’s house. The house was comfortable, even during a winter storm. Erma made sure to have the driveway plowed, so we could still enjoy a day of skiing. And the sunset views were beautiful! We would definitely stay here again.

It is a beautiful home, everything in wonderful condition. Short drive to Minnewaska SP and New Paltz. Layout is Ideal for families with children. Kids and parents have adjoining rooms with bath upstairs. Downstairs is room for grandparents with separate bath. Great fireplace and TV and kitchen. Akhil is very attentive and communicative

We stayed for a graduation near by, it was perfect for we were looking for. I wish the weather would have been a bit warmer to enjoy the water.

The place was as described in the listing. The house is out in nature but not far from local restaurants and stores. The kids loved seeing the wildlife around the house, like chipmunks and groundhogs. We even saw a black bear from the dining room window.

The cabin is perfect for those autumn weekend getaways. We were impressed by how beautiful the cabin is and how close it is to all of the fun, restaurants and beautiful views we wanted. Our only recommendation would be having additional privacy in the living room, as the curtains are see through. Stan is a great host, very responsive, super helpful. Overall, we had a great stay and will consider the Honk Hideaway when we are back in town.

This cabin was very cozy and the surrounding area was very scenic and pretty, as well as quiet and peaceful. Kerri allowed my group of friends to shoot our short film outside the house, and it was a great location for filming as well as a great place for some of the crew members to stay overnight and hangout after shoot. We didn't have much free time but we were provided with lots of recommendations of places to checkout nearby and I'd love to maybe rent the place again sometime to explore the scenery. The neighbors were friendly and Kerri gave us very clear and useful information about the house to make our stay easy.

We loved this house so much. It was perfect for kids, beautifully maintained, clean, organized, peaceful and fun. Everything is really nice and comfortable. My favorite thing about the house is the delightfully scented matching hand soap and body lotions in each bathroom. The shower products are excellent too. That may seem like a silly small thing, but it just goes to show the level of detail that the hosts put in—and I know from experience that not every Airbnb host is that generous with the quality of their disposables!! Thank you for a wonderful stay. We hope to be back soon.

The grounds and the two properties offered by Lisa and Billy are so beautiful and peaceful, the house and the gardens were a lovely setting for a holiday family get-together. Lisa is incredibly responsive and thoughtful, and we really appreciated her flexibility in helping us get settled in a space that suited my elderly parents' needs. The bedrooms are bright and comfortable, the great room spacious enough for adults to enjoy meals, two preschool age girls to play, and two dogs to have a place to relax and not be underfoot. The decor and the gardens invite reflection and repose - if you walk the gardens you will hear birds and a brook in the background. We came from out of state to visit family but I would recommend Westhall to anyone looking for a country retreat not far from the City. Brimming with ideas and suggestions for everything from activities to restaurants to nearby stores to pick up provisions, Lisa is a consummate hostess and all of our needs were met this week.
