Treehouse vacation rentals in Sri Lanka

We spent 4 nights in Nipuna's house and honestly we had a wonderfull moment. The place is just amazing. The house, the swiming pool, the bar area...all surrounded by tea plantation...what else ? The staff was perfect and always available for us ! We highly recommend this place.

We had a really great time at the treehouse. It's a beautiful spot, surrounded by nature, with an unbeatable view of Lion's Rock. Falling asleep to a chorus of cicadas was very special, even with the odd peacock landing on the roof! Very clean, and well maintained, including the pool. Slightly strange smelling bathroom feels like a small price to pay for a hot shower in a tree! Balcony and the pool are both great spots to relax. Restaurant is fine, but don't expect anything too fancy. Host is more wonderful than heart emojis can express. We had a minor health crisis on the first day, and she and the staff could not have been more helpful. The manager also negotiated a good deal for local transfers, which we really appreciated.

Hilltops was an amazing experience, especially after coming from the hectic A-Bay. Private beach, lovely staff, beautiful nature and healthy food - it’s been so nice staying here. Great place to slow down and enjoy some peace and quiet and relax!!

So far our most beautiful and cosiest accomodation in Sri Lanka. The elevated palm-leaf coverd huts located in a lovely garden with palm trees, pepper, different kinds of fruit and flowers at the edge of the lake is outstanding. The waterbuffalos are grazing in the water right next to the bungalow! We also were very happy with the safari organised by the host. Our driver Bindu always found a way to avoid the big crowd and had a unique sense for beeing at the right place on the right time without any rushing (as it seems to be common in Yala NP). Thanks to him we were able to see anything the park has to offer almost on our own.

We love the place. We had the welcome drink and food, the omelet was so good. Stuff are really nice. The tree house is so special!!!

Dit was voor ons persoonlijk de beste verblijfplaats tijdens onze 2 wekenreis doorheen Sri Lanka. Prachtige omgeving, prachtige hutten/tenten. Prachtige mensen! Op vriendelijkheid scoren zij enorm hoog. Wij hebben gesprekken gehad met het personeel. Zij stonden ook steeds klaar voor ons. Het eten was formidabel. Complimenten aan de kok! Nandika, je bent enorm goed bezig samen met je zeer hulpzaam en vriendelijke personeel. Doe zo verder! Het feit dat je ervoor kiest om geen Wifiverbinding te hebben op je eigen terrein, vinden wij een topidee! Je komt hier niets te kort !

Linton is a great host. He has built the property himself with lots of love. we loved the undisturbed natural surroundings of the property. The tree top open rooms were unique, Sleeping with the jungle noises is a experience not to be missed. Linton was very helpful with our food choices. Since we are pure vegetarian and do not eat meat, fish or eggs, and do not prefer eating in mixed kitchens, Linton was super helpful and agreed to cook a pure veg breakfast for us using our own pan.

schöne Unterkunft mit einem riesigen Garten und eigenem Balkon. Zimmer hatte auch eine Klimaanlage. Die Lage war etwas außerhalb, Supermarkt und Restaurants waren aber zu Fuß erreichbar. Wir haben auch Empfehlungen bekommen was wir für Sehenswürdigkeiten anschauen könnten. Es hätte sogar die Möglichkeit bestanden, dass direkt Touren gebucht werden mit Abholung in der Unterkunft, auch können direkt Tuktuks organisiert werden, jedoch sind diese teurer als wenn man selber zur Straße vor geht. Wegen einer Doppelbuchung müssten wir unser Zimmer 1 Tag früher verlassen, jedoch wurde sich um eine Alternative im Ort gekümmert und wir haben das Frühstück gratis bekommen. Es war ein schöner Aufenthalt dort.

Odsjeli smo u kućici na drvetu, bilo je sve odlično. Super smještaj u prirodi, dosta se čuju ptice i majmuni skaču po krovu i dolaze na terasu. Nama je to bilo okej. Doručak odličan, preporuka za barbecue dinner. Domaćin nam je organizirao safari i bilo je izvrsno i cjenovno pristupačno. Bazen je predivan i super nam je došao nakon obilaska da se osvježimo. Lokacija je odlična, Sigiriya je blizu, Polonnaruwa sat vremena udaljena, u mjestu ima slonova koji šeću uz cestu. Nama se jako svidjelo!

Nuwan's place is a calm destination located at a reasonable distance from the hustle of Ella city. We stayed in a treehouse which though came with its own challenges such as some insects (coz it's a tree house ultimately), but the team there tried their best to resolve the issues. They were ready to help 24x7.

Shan and the homestay caretakers were very warm and welcoming. The stay was very scenic and beautiful. It’s very close to the Sigiriya Lion Rock as well.

breakfast was delightful. smiles, happy, friendly hosts. pool was a bonus. help with tourist stuff. highly recommend

The Backwaters is a beautiful, peaceful place and the perfect location for safaris in Wilpattu. we had a lovely warm welcome woth cool towels and sweet tea, perfect after a long journey from the airport. Tarique arranged our safari tour for us, with pick up at The Backwaters and it was a reasonable price. The rooms were great, clean and the air con was very handy. The staff were wonderful, particularly Lakshi and Ikram, who couldn't do enough for us ❤️ The chill put area by the lake is so beautiful and peaceful, wish we could have stayed longer.

Sehr speziell und einmalig in einem baumhaus zu übernachten! Der empfang war herzlich und alles war sehr sauber! Zuerst klemmte die türe, aber sie wurde sofort geflickt! Das nachtessen und das frühstück schmeckte hervorragend! Die umgebung bietet nicht sehr viel. Der strand ist in 3 minuten erreichbar, aber einige mülldeponien nähe des strandes. Keine liegestühle oder sonstige sitzgelegenheiten. Ich bin flexibel und sass auf steinen oder im sand. Schlimmer war , dass es keine bäume oder sonnenschirme hatte, es war sehr heiss! Ich habe für mehr schon einiges weniger bezahlt in sri lanka! Aber für eine nacht im baumhaus, hat es für mich gepasst, mal etwas ganz anderes! Rita

DasHausliegt mitten im Dschungel, das Team von nilanatha war inmer freundlichund hilfsbereit, wir wurden rundum mit Essen versorgt. Das beste aber ist die geführte dschungeltour mit den Guids.wasserfälle, naturpur und tolle Ausblicke . Für trekking Liebhaber genau richtig. Zusätzlich gibt es die Möglichkeit eine tagestour per tuktuk zum Mini littles end zu machen.

Ich habe meinen Aufenthalt sehr genossen! Übernachten im Baumhaus ist definitiv etwas Spezielles, zudem habe ich die wohl beste Pasta in ganz Sri Lanka gegessen. Die Gastgeber haben mir zudem mit vielen hilfreichen Tipps geholfen und allgemein geschaut, dass es mir an nichts fehlt.

We had the most wholesome 3 night stay at Yugi & Renuka’s family home. They treated us with such kindness and hospitality, bringing us fresh juices, beer & cake and cooking us delicious Sri Lankan breakfasts and a dinner. Honestly the sweetest family, and always up for a chat! We also loved meeting their new little puppy max. The treehouse itself is perfect if you are looking for a peaceful stay full of nature, beautiful views and spotting lots of different wildlife. We would love to stay again!
