Ski-in/Ski-out vacation rentals in Sri Lanka

This place was a great find. The location is amazing - right on the beach not far from Dalawalla and Unawatauna. The beach is stunning and we had it to ourselves so felt private. There are a couple of palm swings nearby where you can get the famous sunset swing photo on the walk to Unawatuna beach (15 mins max along the beach). Tharka the host was so lovely and welcoming - he was there to greet us and respond to any issues if you had any (we had none) the breakfasts were good - with a platter of fruit and eggs/tea and coffee every morning. There is a dinner menu available at the accommodation from Tharka's friend which we used one evening and it was delicious . You can order during the day and they will come in the evening and serve at the apartment outside at your table listening to the waves crashing. We had a spicy fish with rice and was one of the best fish dishes we had in Sri Lanka so worth an order and great for convenience if you want to stay in one night. We stayed 4 nights at the end of our Sri Lankan trip and it was just what we needed to relax and chill out on the beach. I cant recommend this place highly enough - the host / the location / the room is basic but all you need - I cant wait to come back!

This was a very last minute booking and Dahami and his family made us feel very welcome right from the start. The accomodation was exactly as shown in the photos if not better. You have the whole top floor which has 2 spacious double rooms both en suite, a living area, a balcony and a fridge! Everything was very clean and tidy. The location is about 100m from the main road and a 10 minute walk to the far eastern side of Weligama beach (this end is much quieter than the main section of Weligama beach which is about another 20 minute pleasant beach walk) Dahami made us a lovely breakfast for an additional charge. We wanted to stay an extra night but he was already booked so he arranged for us to stay with his neighbour, a perfect solution. We would happily stay again and highly recommend

This is a great address! The rooms are spacious, clean with all comforts. Madu and her team greets you and helps you plan your stay. Very good breakfast. Good dinner and if you want to change the kitchen there are good restaurants in Sirigya, not far away. I really recommend this address.

When we arrived at Janitha's villa , we were warmly greeted by his best friend , Jude , who looked after us throughout our stay , making sure we knew where places were & informing us of reasonable transport costs etc. The villa is located in a beautiful , quiet residential area where we were fortunate enough to observe many types of native wild life . Accessibility to the beach was approximately 10/15 minutes at a good walking pace but the nearest well stocked supermarket was approximately 30 minutes walk with empty bags , definitely tuk tuk on return journey with full bags ! The villa itself is as open & spacious as in the photos with mosquito nets provided in both bedrooms . Although we managed to prepare & serve a few meals in the kitchen , there could perhaps be additional utensils to make the job a little easier ( tin opener /few more sharp knives & maybe a chopping board & a sieve ). All in all , we were extremely impressed with the villa & the friendliness & helpfulness of Janitha's family & friends . We would have no hesitation in returning . Thankyou for a wonderful holiday . Priya homestay is a little heaven on earth. It's a family business run by a friendly and charming couple. The accommodation is clean and tastefully furnished. Excellent cuisine. Priya offers excursions with her tuk tuk at unbeatable prices. Best place I've seen here. Thank you

We had a great stay celebrating two birthday’s with our friends and children. Our host was always on hand if we needed anything. For the budget this place was perfectly suitable for our group. We would Definitely stay again.

Our stay with Sameera was amazing! He has a beautiful little beach front just a short walk from Unawatuna, a perfect place to relax. He was incredibly hospitable and was always willing to help us with whatever we needed. Would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay with the family. There is everything you may need. Spacious apartement with good location close to the beaches. Hosts are friendly. We enjoyed our stay there for more than one month.

What a warm welcome from Mr. Rohan & his wife from the first moment till the end. We rented full house and stayed 3 nights 4 days. Excellent location right in the heart of Thalahena junction. (easy access to Colombo within few minutes). The atmosphere is very relaxed and rooms with modern look, is very cozy, featuring a comfortable bed, bath room for each room. The house is located on the main street, all the stores, restaurants and supermarket are close by. We had a very nice stay here and our host Mr. Rohan made sure we had everything we needed.
