Kuau Surf 2.0 Maui North Shore Locally-Owned

My one bedroom apartment is very well located on the beautiful and wild north shore of Maui. It is 2 minutes walking distance to Mama’s beach, right in front of the world famous Mama's Fish House Restaurant. Hookipa Beach Park, which features great surfing and windsurfing, is only 2 minutes drive from the apartment. Paia town with restaurants and shops is only 5 minutes away. My apartment is good for couples, solo adventurers, and small families (with kids).

The Gingerbread House turned out to be a dream of a spot for our long weekend on Maui. Each morning we awoke before dawn to a peaceful serenity followed by the growing din of island bird calls. We had our choice of balcony or ground floor patio spots for coffee to watch the geckos flit about. A cozy interior awaited us each evening upon our return as a sea of stars filled the night sky away from the light pollution of modernity. A gem of a stay, and can't wait to return.

Wow! Where do I start. I’ve travelled and stayed in AIRB&B”s all over the world. Every now and then you come across a place that truly drives the experience. This is one of those places. Beautiful, quiet, island country feel, private and safe…. I felt like I was living in a dream. Place was CLEAN 🧼 Bedding was super clean and you can tell a lot of thought went into the design. It’s upstairs, so you can walk out and hang out in the patio and witness a 360 mountain and ocean view…. It reminds me of countryside Japan so much. Vernon was super responsive and kind with check in instructions… This is the greatest deal on the island and at this price and experience, Vernon will take a lot of business from the competition. 10/10 !!!! I’m very picky, I recommend this place to EVERYONE visiting the island, you won’t regret it….

Thank you for this lovely experience in Paia. This location was perfect for our Road to Hana adventure start to finish. Close to lovely shopping and restaurants. Enjoyed our coffee on the patio in the mornings. It felt peaceful. Was great for my husband and me and our 13 year old twins. Cozy feel. Recommend!

We stayed here for two nights and had a great experience. While the building has a motel-like appearance from the outside, the rooms are beautifully furnished, very clean, and extremely comfortable. Our room was on the second floor—just a heads-up that there’s no elevator. The location is excellent, very close to the airport, though you will definitely need a car to get around. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would strongly recommend this place for your next visit!

Great location!!!!!!!!!!! Very walkable to town. Covered parking was a bonus. No dishwasher - wasn't an issue for us, as we didn't use much, but there is a Keurig with a supply of coffee pods. There is AC in the unit, which many units in HI don't have. Nice walk-in shower. Avis added a 2nd nightstand, so there is one on both sides of the bed. Checkout Ho'okipa Beach Park for turtles (hona) and surfers.

Our stay here was great! So close to beautiful beaches, right on Hāna Highway, Pa’ia was the cutest town. Definitely a lot calmer than the other side of the island if you just want to relax on vacation. The condo had everything we needed! Would definitely book again. Thank you Mark!
