Cabin vacation rentals in Spencer County

We were in town for a swim meet in Danville. It was very easy to drive there. The house was very comfortable with lots of space for our family. My son enjoyed being in the hot tub after swimming all day. John was a wondeful host! Would definitely stay again!

John's place was the perfect landing spot for our Kentucky getaway! Close access to highways to get to Lexington and Louisville. We were able to get to distilleries, the horse parks, farms, and restaurants easily. The house was clean, spacious, and offered all the amenities to make our trip comfortable. The hot tub was a nice way to wind down, and the surrounding farm land and woods were the perfect serene backdrop.

We had a wonderful stay! Dustin responded right away when I had questions. We felt at home and had so much to do at the house. The barn was a huge hit with kids and they liked fishing the pond! The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we need to cook when needed. The peacock visited us twice, he was so pretty! We hiked at Mammoth Cave, hiked and saw the Forest Giants at Bernheim Arboretum, visited The Jim Beam Distillery and downtown Bardstown restaurants and shops! So much fun, it made for a memorable birthday celebration.

Perfect place to spend with the family , we felt as home , the pictures match with the place , peaceful , beautiful surrounding , definitely we come back.

What a great peaceful retreat, not too far away from Louisville. Great to relax with the birds chirping around us and not much else to disturb us! The place had a wide open but warm feel letting in plenty of light during the day. We enjoyed hanging outside on the deck and also took short hikes into the woods alongside the creek - which were so peaceful and nice. The master bedroom was cozy as well to relax in and watch movies. John was very accommodating to meet all of our needs!

Absolutely loved Bourbon Barrel cottages! Beautiful setting out in the rolling hills of Kentucky. Lose to distilleries and restaurants yet out far enough to enjoy the peace and quiet. Angie was out every day tending to the beautiful landscaping. They even offer fresh eggs on-site. Book this place next time you’re in bourbon country, you won’t be disappointed!

What a beautiful place. Pictures don't do it justice. So private and serene, with beautiful grounds and nature all around. The house is fantastic. A mix of old time charm and modern convenience. The bedrooms are large and nicely appointed and each has its own bathroom which makes them great and private for all. Kitchen is big with everything we needed and a great table for spending time together. The natural light pours in from every side to enjoy the day. Fire pit with plenty of wood and bar-b-que great. Pool table first rate for family fun. Outside the grounds are nice for walking and playing outside with plenty of birds, rolling hills and deer and cows in he distance. My perfect AIRB&B

Cozy and comfy cabin, however,no washing machine as indicated in the ad. It matters if you want to stay longer than a weekend. Overall,great place for great outdoors with even greater purpose of supporting and honoring our soldiers.

I visited here with my two friends and we haven’t been able to stop talking about it since. I can’t wait to come back here. The property is beautiful. The hot tub is perfectly set up to view a stunning sunset. The area was also very quiet. The inside is so unique and inviting. Very very clean and fantastic layout!

I'm 100% recommend her place. The hot tub was absolutely amazing. her response time is so fast and she's very accommodating. next time we come through we will be staying with her again.

Our group of 16 adults had a great time at Jackie’s place! The posting and pictures gave an accurate description of the house. The location is a bit further out off the beaten path, but you just need to plan your day accordingly. We enjoyed the open space on the main floor, the deck overlooking the pond and the fire pit area in the yard. We would definitely recommend Jackie’s place to others.

Super cute place! Very peaceful and would be amazing for a long stay.

I am astonished by the attention to every detail in this home. The hosts went out of their way to make aure every single detail was covered. I loved that we got to listen to the playlist while we hiked the trail. We enjoyed a fire and just got to truly soak in the peace and quiet. inside and outside the home. Wonderful hosts and beautiful property. We will be back to visit

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here immensely. We booked this cottage for Father's Day weekend and couldn't have asked for a more peaceful and relaxing space. James was very accommodating and responsive. He even provided us with fire starting material late Friday evening. We enjoyed our nights by the fire while listening to all of the different insects and animals. If coming back to the area we will definitely rebook here.

We loved this place. It had a lot of extras that many rental properties don’t have. It was easy for my blind mother to get around inside. Lovely open areas and appropriately decorated. Amazing!! Can’t wait to visit again!!

From the minute we walked through the door we felt at home. The Cabin on the rocks is better then we even expected. The house was so incredibly comfortable. It had everything we needed for our stay. It had so much room for us all. The bedrooms were extremely large. Beds and bedding were perfect. The wrap around porch was absolutely amazing. We played games outside. It was wondering. We saw several different animals while drinking wine on the porch. It was magical. This is the best airbnb we have ever stayed at. We would even buy this home if they were to ever sale. Absolutely gorgeous historic cabin to stay for a few days. We stayed here for our anniversary a couple nights and wish we had longer. Well manicured landscaping (perfect for some grounding), ample seating in a variety of areas to enjoy both inside and outside. We enjoyed our morning coffee watching the birds from both the back porch and the seating by the natural spring pond. The history connected to the home left behind was well preserved and you can tell it is well cared for. If you're looking for a peaceful place to get away from the hustle and bustle of life, this is where you stay! We enjoyed listening to the birds, frogs, cicadas, and more without the sound of TVs or radios. We've already recommended it to our friends for a getaway. PS. Don't forget to take some time getting a closer look at the spring house! You can also look at some pics inside of what the cabin used to look like and what Donald has done to clean it up to bring the whole space back to it's natural beauty!

This house and property is beautiful! We had such an amazing weekend. We love about an hour away and wanted to get away to the lake for our anniversary. Carolyn’s place did not disappoint! From the cozy beds and linens to the fully stocked kitchen and everything in between we felt truly at home. The space is open and airy and feels like you belong. The hosts have thought of it all. We spent 90% of our time outside on the deck or on the dock. It rained a good amount of the time but we still had a blast because the deck is fully covered. So much wildlife!! There’s a baby snapping turtle that lives in the yard and on the dock and deer were everywhere. The kayaks were a lot of fun too! This definitely won’t be our last visit here!

If I could give this 10 stars I would! Beautiful little Cabin with so much history inside. Full kitchen, Cozy living area, sleep number bed was very comfortable. The grounds are beautiful, so many flowers, plants, trees, just perfections and very quiet. Tammy and Jane greeted us as we checked in and showed us around. Tammy also made us breakfast every morning, fresh and homemade and even a to go basket on our last morning. The neighborhood is very peaceful. We were visiting for the derby and wished we had more time to enjoy this little peace of beauty!

We had the best time! The cabin was just as pictured and perfectly fit our needs, the host guide book on here was helpful! Really overall just the nicest place and host was very communicative. It was a great touch they had coffee available as we were mostly eating out and would have had to stop at the store just to get coffee and saved us a trip! Would happily come back.
