Vacation rentals in Spalanni Bivio

We had a family reunion and were really looking forward to spending some time relaxing around the pool and jacuzzi, but unfortunately a freak disaster struck the first night that left both unusable (and the hosts with lots of mopping up to do). Despite this disappointment, the hosts went to great lengths to provide us with alternative activities, and the surrounding area is MAGNIFICENT. Driving is scary if you're not used to misty, tiny little roads on precarious mountainsides, but ohhhhh, the scenery is worth it. And the hosts were superb. They spoiled my niece Olivia with a massive Easter Egg on her arrival, and Daniela peppered us with delightful stories, special seasoning, homemade Limoncello, and cake, so despite the disappointment of the pool and jacuzzi, we had a lovely time. Rooms were comfy, the kitchen is well-stocked for cooking, and the views are spectacular. So I'm giving the stay 5 stars, because if the pool and jacuzzi work as usual, it certainly would be a 5-star spot.

We loved our stay here!! The view is absolutely beautiful. The apartment had everything we needed and it was super clean. There is also a train station right down the road for an easy train ride into Florence if that is something you are wanting to do. Would definitely recommend staying here!

L’alloggio è delizioso, intorno non c’è niente, totale relax, la piscinetta è la ciliegina sulla torta. La casa è giustissima, due bagni molto comodi, due camere da letto spaziose. Sono molto soddisfatto, tornerò.

Wir wurden von Lavinia und Marco persönlich und sehr nett mit einem Korb mit Wein, Kaffee und Naschzeug, sowie Wasser und Sekt empfangen und überall herumgeführt. Der Garten ist sehr groß mit einem wundervollen Blick ins Tal. Es gibt riesige Bäume, sodass man immer im Schatten ist. Auch das Haus hat uns begeistert. Es ist wunderschön mit sehr großen Räumen und tollen Kasettendecken. Marco kam auch mal vorbei und hat uns die uralte Zisterne gezeigt, die unter dem Garten angelegt ist. Er war auch sehr hilfreich als sich unser Hund davon geschlichen hat, wofür wir sehr dankbar sind. Sein Vater kam auch einmal und hat uns Erdbeeren gebracht. In der Nähe gibt es sehr gute Restaurants, vor allem Rossobirra ist zu empfehlen. Dienstags ist Markttag bis 13 Uhr im unteren Teil von Poppi, und das Café gleich neben der Unterkunft ist immer ein Besuch wert. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen und können es nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen.

We had a very comfortable, relaxed and peaceful time at the cottage. Claudia is great, made us feel right at home and gave some advice for sightseeing in the neighbourhood.

I can’t say enough good things about my stay here — from start to finish, this was one of the best Airbnb experiences I’ve ever had. Giovanni went above and beyond in every possible way. Communication was quick, clear, and kind, and they were always available for questions or local recommendations. Check-in was smooth and easy, and I immediately felt at home. The space itself was spotless, stylish, and incredibly comfortable — exactly as described (if not better). Small thoughtful touches like welcoming wine and snack board made it feel more like staying at a friend’s home than a rental. It’s clear that Giovanni genuinely cares about their guests’ comfort. I wish I could give more than 5 stars.

We hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad in deze unieke villa! Francesca is een ontzettend vriendelijke en behulpzame host. Ze komt elke ochtend en avond even langs om het zwembad te openen/sluiten en de tuin te bewateren – een kleine inbreuk op de privacy, maar met charme gebracht. De villa is ruim en comfortabel: wij waren met het ouderlijk gezin, partners en kinderen, en iedereen had een eigen badkamer. Het zwembad (op verzoek verwarmd) is afsluitbaar met een hek – heel fijn en veilig met kleine kinderen. Wat je nergens anders ziet: werkelijk álle muren zijn beschilderd met 3D-ornamenten. Geen idee hoe het kan, maar het werkt! De tuin is prachtig, al wel wat glooiend, dus hou daar rekening mee. In de omgeving kun je fietsen huren, er is veel te zien en eten kan van simpel tot super-de-luxe. Kortom: een aanrader! Francesca, bedankt – de dronebeelden zijn onderweg!

We had a wonderful week of family reunion at Thomas’s farmhouse. The property is an authentic, rustic Tuscan farmhouse perched on a beautiful hill, offering breathtaking views. The pool is lovely and well-maintained, and the kitchen is fully equipped. Thomas was exceptionally responsive and eager to help—his support and hospitality made a real difference. We were a group of 17 family members and appreciated that the rooms were spread across the property, allowing for both togetherness and privacy when needed. Thomas and his wife prepared a wonderful lasagna dinner that catered to both vegans and meat-eating family members. The nearest town, Poppi, is about a 20-minute drive away. The road can be a bit challenging at night, but it’s worth the trip.
