The Chesnut Cottage is the perfect quaint romantic getaway or rustic writer's retreat. One of three AirB&B listings on our 10-acre property atop Harper's Hill, it is surrounded by woods and a short walk up from the Puget Sound where you can fish from Harper pier or kayak over to Blake Island. The Southworth ferry terminal is just over a mile away providing direct access to both Seattle and Vashon Island. Enjoy the beautiful views of Puget Sound, Blake Island, Mt. Rainier and downtown Seattle from one of two decks off of the main floor. In cooler weather, the front sun deck is the perfect spot for happy hour or just relaxing. Take a short walk down the hill to visit the hamlet of Manchester. There's a public beach, outdoor pub, and other amenities available. The Southworth ferry will take you to West Seattle. Scheduled for Spring 2021, a "fast foot" ferry with service to downtown Seattle.

Fall is upon us and in Washington it is a beautiful time to soak in the changing of the leaves and the cozy season. Our Airbnb offers beautiful views of the Sound, Seattle, Mt. Rainier. We’re minutes from the ferry to Seattle and close to charming small towns. The walkable neighborhood offers a pub, library, food, and a coffee shop/convenience store, plus peaceful spots to stroll. Perfect for a quiet seasonal getaway retreat too. A very convenient spot to stay and hike to the Olympics.

A great location for access to the wonders of Puget Sound and the Olympic Peninsula. Located 7 minutes away from the Ferry, which makes for an easy commute to downtown Seattle. We are also close to Hwy 16, which takes you across Hood Canal to the Olympic Peninsula, for great day-trips to this spectacular part of the state. We are located across the from Banner Forest Heritage Park, a 636-acre wildlife preserve which included miles of biking and walking trails.
