Bungalhigh with Swimming Cove

JillRating, 5 stars8 months ago
This was such a delightful, peaceful & beautiful place to stay. Shelby was extremely responsive & helpful. I appreciated that she went the extra mile to alert me to the Aurora Borealis & encourage me to see it from the point. When the power went out b/c of a local car accident, she kept me updated with information about cause & when power was expected to return & provided flashlights & a special battery powered lightbulb to provide light. I couldn't have asked for more!

Great stay for our family of 5 adults and 3 toddlers! Lots to do and great proximity to Acadia/Bar Harbor. House was well supplied with clear instructions. Brady also connected with us before the stay and kept in touch for anything that came up as a concern. Thank you!

Everett Cottage at Indian Point (Bar Harbor)

ChristopherRating, 5 stars7 months ago
good value, a little creepy if you're showing up at night (haunted vibes) a little damp smelling, especially in the bathroom (since it's carpeted) but the view makes up for everything. beds and sheets were all clean and comfortable upon arrival.

The American Eagle - Inn on the Harbor

LeslieRating, 5 stars1 month ago
So peaceful but off season. So not sure how it would be with lots of traffic and people. But the private deck and entrance was wonderful. The water view couldn’t have been more up close and personal with the beautiful harbor. The place was clean and cozy. Perfect lighting. Didn’t watch tv once. A convenient common room for extra supplies or a cup of coffee. Staff was very friendly when we were checking out. No front desk attendant and none needed. They answer messages quickly!

The Carriage House at Spruce Harbor

TimRating, 5 stars10 months ago
My husband and I, and our two pups had a fantastic time in the Carriage House for a week. Part of a breathtaking private/secret compound on the water…with the most incredible private tidal pool. The place is so authentic, which is what we love about staying in ME when we can escape. We were so blessed to find Margaret’s place last minute. Margaret’s mother, Sally, and her husband were in the main Kate’s house. So so sweet they were to us and our girls. A dog paradise. We are foodies. Plenty of good restaurants around - just a few minutes to the adorable village of Stonington. Around the corner is one of the best restaurants in the country - Aragosta. We can’t wait to return…hopefully, in the Fall. A trip we will always remember. Thank you, Margaret & Family.
An aerial view of a property showcases a well-maintained outdoor space featuring a large swimming pool surrounded by a paved patio. Sun loungers are positioned at the poolside, and the lush green lawn encircles the area. A tree line creates a serene backdrop.

Shorefront studio, 10 mins to Acadia & Bar Harbor!

KylieRating, 5 stars3 days ago
This stay was absolutely beautiful!!! It looked EXACTLY like the photos, maybe even better! It’s right on the water with a gorgeous view. If you like swimming in your own front yard and sitting up in bed to stunning landscape, this is the stay for you. We spent our time relaxing in one of the most comfortable beds Ive had at any hotel/airbnb, swimming in the water right off the dock, and watching wildlife right from the porch. The area is a large property with multiple stays, and while we passed our neighbors a few times we still had tons of privacy. This would be the perfect location for large groups wanting to rent the entire property/multiple stays on the property. We will hopefully be back in the future with the whole family!

The Boathouse at Spruce Harbor

Janette Is pronounced as YanetteRating, 5 stars8 months ago
My return visit to the Boathouse was even lovelier than I hoped it would be. The location can't be matched by anything else I've seen. I enjoyed a September visit with my dog and was lucky to have pristine weather. I lived a very simple and healthy outdoors life and came home the better for it. The Boathouse is true to its description: it is simple and rustic and uncomplicated but well-equipped, and is perfect for one-and-dog, or for two people. A little coming-and-going from the neighboring houses meant that I didn't feel isolated. Margaret is truly an exceptional and friendly host who communicates promptly and clearly. I almost hesitate to share "my" Boathouse location with too many of my back-home friends because it feels so intimate and special. I already want to be back there. I offer my deep thanks to Margaret and to the place that I could - briefly - call home.
An expansive outdoor area showcases a heated swimming pool surrounded by a spacious stone patio. Comfortable lounge chairs are arranged around the pool, while lush greenery borders the space, offering a serene natural backdrop. The property features a well-kept lawn and a welcoming two-story cottage.

Waterfront w/Amazing Views- Central to Acadia

MaggieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a beautiful stay with views of the sound. We saw all kinds of wildlife including hawks, heron, seal, eagles, ducks and more. While the weather wasn’t nice enough for us to enjoy lots of time outside, the windows and view kept us entertained in between hikes in Acadia. Amenities were lovely and the space was everything we needed and more.

Tidal Shores

MattRating, 5 stars7 months ago
Thank you Mary and Noel! We had a great week balanced between exploring Acadia and chilling on the porch watching the tide and the birds. It was exactly what we needed. The house had everything we needed including a well equipped kitchen, which we made lots of use of. Highly recommended.

Modern Maine Beach House

HarryRating, 5 stars4 days ago
We stayed here for 2 nights. It was a very good stay for us. We had to double check how to get to the beach to make sure we weren't trespassing and Gregory responded in about 5 minutes with the green light. It's obviously an older home given the area so we weren't expecting brand new construction, and this was a perfect rustic get-away for us; would recommend for anyone looking to get away on a pleasant vacation

Manset Rock Cottage: A Coastal Retreat on MDI

ElisabethRating, 5 stars8 months ago
Our group of 5 adults loved our stay here. It was October and the fireplace was lovely - Keith provides plenty of wood and we had a toasty blaze every night. (I should clarify that there is also baseboard heat so we didn't actually need the fire for warmth.) The location is quiet and beautiful with deer outside the windows and the private pebble beach a minute walk away. The house was very clean and is a real, old-fashioned unfussy family cottage - a mix of comfy furniture from assorted eras for a cozy laid back non-Ikea experience. Just the sort of place for making Maine memories! We cooked in the whole time and the kitchen is well laid out and well supplied with utensils, cookware and dishware. Great to have the dishwasher and laundry for longer stays. Beds were comfy. Keith could not have been nicer or more responsive. Extra bonus: the little front bedroom has a view of Bear Island lighthouse. You KNOW you're in Maine.

Water's Edge at Ocean St - Direct Ocean Access!

LizaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Samantha’s home was even better than the pictures! The location was fantastic. The home was super clean and had a wonderful smell when we entered the home. She and her team were very responsive and provided us with recommendations based on a survey they sent as well as a packet of information at the home. Check-in and check-out were very smooth. My family and I enjoyed it very much! We will definitely be back. Thank you again Samantha and team!

The Boathouse on the ocean

KurtRating, 5 stars7 months ago
We were struck by the beauty of the place from our first step into the Boat House! It was beautiful inside and out! We soaked in all the beauty by stargazing at night in the adirondack chairs, and catching the sunrise each morning! We loved the sound of the water lapping against the rocks, and the distant sounds of the lobster boats heading out to sea! We loved how close it was to the Schoodic Peninsula for hiking, biking, and enjoying the crashing waves at Schoodic Point, and it was a beautiful scenic drive to get to Acadia National Park on the Bar Harbor side! It is also so close to the hiking up by Donnell Pond. We couldn't get enough of the place and will surely be back!

Islesboro Boathouse

KimberlyRating, 5 stars2 days ago
we stayed at Mark's place for four nights and loved our stay. The bedroom in the boat house is beautiful- almost panoramic water views. At high tide the water almost comes up to the deck! The house was extremely quiet and conveniently located on the island. Mark was extremely friendly and ensured we had everything we needed. Kitchen is well stocked with all the necessities and towels and linens were top notch.

Quaint Oceanfront Island Cottage, off Bar Harbor

KateRating, 5 stars2 days ago
My family and I had an awesome time at the cottage on Swan’s Island. Kyle’s instructions were super detailed and helpful, and he was extremely responsive. The cottage is sweet and simple, and the natural surroundings are just unparalleled. We spent a lot of time on the beach. Turns out our three yr old LOVES ROCKS 😝 The island overall is really charming. We also had an excellent time hiking through the mossy forest and running around on the fine sand beach. We even got in the water despite the cold. Bought some lobsters from the fisherman’s co-op and they were delicious. One tip is that you might need more firewood than you think if it’s late spring! We should’ve brought maybe one or two more bundles, but now we know…we’re almost certainly coming back!
