Cabin in the woods

KendallRating, 5 stars3 days ago
We had a fantastic stay. From the initial booking through check-out, Cindy and Stoney were fantastic hosts. The property is peaceful and we (myself, my wife, and our pup) felt right at home in the cozy cabin. Cindy and Stoney were very accommodating hosts and their dog buddy quickly became one of our pups best friends. We did a lot of hiking including Black Elk Peak, Cathedral Spires, Flume Trail, Palmer Canyon, Hell Canyon, Stockade Lake, and Sylvan Lake. All trails were anywhere from 40 minutes to an hour from the property which is pretty typical when traveling in the mountains. There were also trails located on the property which were fantastic as the property is connected to the National Forest. We downloaded the offline map from Google maps, marked the gate, and wandered all over the place for miles and miles. Cindy and Stoney are great people and to top it off are very knowledgeable about the surrounding area. When we visit again, this is where we will stay!

angustora getaway

AmyRating, 5 stars4 days ago
From when we booked till the first day, Tim was always responsive with questions, he even went out of his way to get a high chair for our toddler and had a pack n play available as well. He provided alot of the essentials that included dishware, soap for showering and even to wash clothes. He provided firewood and everything needed for the firepit as well. Once we unpacked for the week, it felt like we were at home. Peaceful area and the home is beautiful inside and out. I would highly recommend his place to anyone looking for a place in South Dakota.
Aerial view of a spacious property isolated in a vast landscape, showcasing a single-story cottage and surrounding grassy fields. Angostura Lake glistens in the background, framed by distant hills under a clear blue sky. The access road leads from the cottage towards the lake.

Angostura Lake/sandy beach/remote acreage/wifi

StephenRating, 5 stars7 months ago
The Angostura Cabin was just what we needed for our week-long getaway! It is truly private - 10 miles off the highway on dirt roads with only two other houses within a mile of the cabin. A HUGE selling point for us was the seclusion from everyone else and the effortless 10 min walk to the lake. No trees around, so when the wind blows, it's cold. The cabin itself was very clean, very comfortable, and very appropriate for the location. Even though there were only 2 of us staying, we will be back with more people later because the cabin can sleep up to 8 people (2 people in each two queen beds and 2 people in each two double beds), or 4 people very comfortably. If you're looking for an amazing getaway (literally!), don't hesitate to book this stay. Effortless check-in, check-out, and quick communication with Hillary. Get this place; you won't regret it!

This place was amazing. The property is peaceful and beautiful. We used this place as a home base as we explored the area. This cabin is within 1.5 hours of Mt. Rushmore, Jewel Cave, Wind Cave, and Custer State Park. Eric and his family were very welcoming! The lodge is spotless and has great amenities. 10/10 would recommend

My sister and need a place to stay for a family gathering we were going to. The place was exactly what we needed. The home was well cooled and she was responsive when I had a question. Very cute place.

Quiet 1BR Renovated Apt- Near Downtown Hot Springs

BrandonRating, 5 stars4 days ago
My significant other and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here in Hot Springs. Kaloa greeted us within a few minutes of our arrival, and the apartment looked exactly like the pictures in the listing. Kaloa’s welcome book and local restaurant recommendations were quite helpful. This apartment is located about 30 minutes to an hour from most Black Hills attractions, but the drive is scenic. Overall, we appreciate Kaloa’s friendliness and the homey and quiet feels of this apartment.
