Part of the Ponder farm dating back to 1906, we have a little house that offers a peaceful environment overlooking the family farm with a picturesque old barn, surrounded by tree lined fields. Enjoy the updated home with fully furnished kitchen, queen bed, and open front and back porches for relaxing in the quiet countryside. We are located just south of Sherman off Hwy 11, close to Austin College, with easy access to Highway 75.

I cannot say enough about Dennis’s BEAUTIFUL home!!! Not only is it exactly as described it’s better! Pictures do not do it justice. I travel with work and have stayed at many Airbnbs and his is top of the list. I hope to be back soon.

Red Rock Retreat was one of the nicest vacation rentals I've experienced and I've stayed in A LOT of vacation rentals! so well done and so many thoughtful touches like 3 ways to make coffee (with coffee options provided), an assortment of snacks and an assortment of toiletries in case you forgot something..... Not to mention an incredibly comfortable and clean place in a beautiful setting and a host that was super accommodating and helpful (thanks Kelley!!). I highly recommend and would certainly want to stay again ....

Very peaceful property. Nice sized house with four bathrooms! Big kitchen. Pool area is the best! We live almost 4hrs away and needed to be up near the area for my son’s graduation. Everyone enjoyed hanging out in the pool and in the pool hut area. It was even accommodating to my 85 yr old grandmother in a wheelchair (through the garage entry and a large hallways bathroom that fits a wheelchair. The dogs loved hanging out and looking at the cows in the pastures. Definitely recommended!
