The Saddlery Cottage

Beautiful converted cottage in the grounds of an historic Victorian country house in rural Wales. Wood-burning stove, Wi-Fi, stunning views of the Black Mountains. Perfect for walkers, cyclists, garden-lovers, or horse-riders of all ages. Just 450 yards on a private drive through the estate from a barn which sleeps 8 (see 'Eco-Barn in the Brecon Beacons'). Ideal also for larger gatherings. Dogs welcome; a maximum of two permitted. The cottage is located on a 19th century country house estate of about 10 acres of gardens, lawns and woods. There are three bedrooms - a double ensuite on the ground floor, and two upstairs bedrooms (two doubles, one can be made up as twin beds) that share a large bathroom. A double-height kitchen and an open plan living/dining area with a banquette, a woodburning stove, two large comfy sofas and fabulous views. One side of the cottage looks onto a cobbled stable yard, and the other onto its own garden, then beyond that parkland, Llangorse Lake and the Black Mountains. Fabulous restaurants and farm shops are within a short drive as well as the lake, with boating facilities, beautiful walks out of your front door, and great biking trails. An all-around perfect location for a peaceful holiday in rural Wales. The cottage has its own entrance and parking, also its own garden with a table and chairs. Guests are welcome to explore the grounds of Treberfydd House, and are free to bring up to two pets. My husband and I and our family live a couple of minutes' walk from the Saddlery, and are available to help with any questions guests may have. Completely rural idyll - Perfect for those who want to escape the city and drink in the joys of the countryside. You would need a car to get around. Wellies are recommended, and good walking gear advisable for the hills. Booking is normally for a minimum of three nights. Between November and and March we offer a special rate for a Friday + Saturday booking with a late checkout of 4.30pm on Sunday. Please contact us for details. Detached 2 bedroom bungalow set in 18 acres

We have the best of both worlds, stunning countryside & easy access to local amenities. We’re on Domen Fawr which is over 1653ft high. At the top you can see Pen y Fan & central Brecons. Heads of the Valley is nearby & provides great access across South Wales. Cardiff is an hour away by train. We are a quiet retreat, ideal for walkers, young families or couples wanting a relaxing, peaceful break. Pets are welcome but there are additional charges. Please ask us in advance as we have our own dogs.

Step outside and enjoy stunning walks, superb bike rides or peaceful fishing directly from this lovely 3 bedroom 2 bathroom house in the beautiful Rhondda Valley, without even getting in the car. Bike Park Wales and the Brecon Beacons are also just a short drive away making the house an ideal base for anyone wanting to explore all that the area has to offer. Bike storage and bike washing facilities available. Parking for 3 cars. Up to 2 dogs are welcome for an additional £20 pet fee per dog.

Originally built in the 13th century, Jinks Cottage was home to the village cobbler (called Jinks), his wife and six children. Now carefully restored, it provides a spacious country retreat for four, plus your four-legged friends, as we’re very dog friendly!

Our cosy cottage on the edge of Blaengarw village, in a valley surrounded by mountains, and small lakes. Amazing walks on the doorstep with dramatic views, and we are dog-friendly (but sorry, no cats). Real fire, TV, DVDs & books for cosy nights in. Great cycling with riverside rides and mountain trails. Shop, pub & takeaway in the village. Designer outlet, Odeon cinema, nature reserves and castles all a short drive. And we live round the corner for any advice or help!

Picturesque Welsh Cottage near Pontypridd

A delightful 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom cottage that has a small private garden and patio with incredible views over the countryside. Located 1.5 miles north of Pontypridd town centre, high up on top of Graigwen Hill, the perfect place to explore South Wales with walks directly from the door. The property is part of an active smallholding, the full land mostly used to graze horses. The cottages backs onto a large field where our Highland Cattle graze.

It has stunning 180 degrees views of the valley and has fantastic local walks and bike routes from the doorstep. Local attractions include The Brecon Beacons National Park, Cardiff city and Bay, Bike Park Wales, Cwmcarn Forest, Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal and The Big Pit National Coal Museum. Perfect Dog walking country.

As wildly romantic as it gets! With a wooded backdrop and canal side terrace, this larch-clad cottage is absolute luxury for two - with a sumptuous bed and statement slipper bath. Feel refreshed from the glorious views across the canal towards the mountains, or cosy up in front of the wood burner in the lounge. Unwind with a stroll along the canal towpath or stargaze together in the hot-tub. Pets are welcome, too.

Granary Cottage 1 - Brecon Beacons National Park

Granary 1 is set around a courtyard with two other properties and opposite The Old Barn Tearoom. The Taff Trail runs past the main gate and Pen y Fan is within walking distance. The property is in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park between the Iron Heritage town of Merthyr and Brecon. There is walking and biking from the front door, the Brecon Mountain Railway and Bike Park Wales are also close at hand.
