Beautiful schoolhouse, North Uist, Outer Hebrides

RosyRating, 5 stars85 months ago
The Schoolhouse is exhisite. If you think the photos are good, the space is even more impressive in reality. A perfect place to relax with friends. Every detail has been considered for maximum style and comfort. Pierson was readily available for questions and the house is full of maps and details on local amenities and inspirations. The location is well positioned a short 15 minute walk to a stunning remote beach. Myself and my friends couldn't recommend staying at Tigharry Schoolhouse more!

Stunning place. So comfortable and amazing views. Spacious and full of light it felt much bigger than it was helped by such very clever design. Sauna was a lovely added extra option too. Friendly and helpful host too. Highly recommend.

Comfortable detached 4 bedroomed holiday home

HarriotRating, 5 stars8 months ago
Wow, what a fantastic location and cosy cottage. The children were delighted to find the games room which meant a lovely relaxed holiday for the grown ups! James and Chippie were both so helpful and accommodating of our needs and Benbecula and North Uist were simply stunning.

Bothan Beinn

DebbieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a great week staying at Ann's place in such an amazing location, perfect for relaxing and perfect for exploring the whole of the island and Vatersay. The cottage was well equipped and comfortable for our party of 6 plus our dog. We saw golden eagles from the patio, and loved the walk down to Borve headland. The track to the property is indeed very bumpy, so you need to take it very slowly! Ann was very communicative when we had questions about a couple of things. All in all, a brilliant place to stay.

Cosy home with stunning views

LillieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Flora’s home really is a hidden gem on the Isle of Skye. It was privately located, with a little private beach and woodland walk beside the house. It’s located about a 10 mins drive from a petrol station/a few little shops and restaurants but the main town (Portree) is about a 40-min drive away. My only criticism to Flora’s home was the cleanliness - we noticed both of the bathrooms hadn’t been flushed when we arrived - and there were little bits of food on the lounge floor/it was quite dusty. I wouldn’t not recommend Flora’s home based on this, but would add it as a recommendation to Flora and her family to take extra care with for future guests.

Idyllic Hebridean thatched cottage

ClaireRating, 5 stars8 months ago
A beautiful and well-equipped cottage in a beautiful location. Medi kindly contacted us to let us know there was possible disruption to the ferry but we arrived as scheduled and had a wonderful fortnight walking, swimming and exploring during the day and relaxing in front of the wood burning stove in the evening.

Cosy 2 Bed Semi Detached Bungalow with amenities

MichaelRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Michael and Catherine were very welcoming and helpful hosts and the house is cosy, well equipped and comfortable. We managed to pack a lot into 2 days on Barra. The definite highlight was swimming in the calm, crystal clear sea at Eoligarry beach. We also really enjoyed our walk up Heaval, where we were rewarded with a 360 degree panorama of Barra and the surrounding islands, and the food from Fishbox Kitchen! We only wish that we could have stayed a bit longer!

Cuiluaine Cottage

FionaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a lovely stay at Claire’s place. The house is so cute and cosy, and tucked away in the middle of the village with lovely views of the Tables and close to all the local amenities. Claire was super friendly and helpful and we loved the goodies on arrival. The children especially loved the fire pit in the garden which was great for marshmallow toasting when the midges weren’t out! Thanks for a great stay.

Ceol na mara, ardmhor, isle of barra

SophieRating, 5 stars1 week ago
What a lovely gem of a place ! We came here for a week on the recommend of a friend who stayed here a few years ago and we were not disappointed. Fantastic location, only a few minutes drive from both the ferry terminal and airport, with the beach within walking distance and gunbarrel views of the planes taking off and landing. Along with the great location there is a well stocked house, lovely dog friendly garden and good internet connection. Great coffee & cake available close by at Ardmhor coffee (based in the ferry terminal) and also at the unexpectedly good airport cafe. Any number of glorious beaches within a short drive. Good, friendly communication from the owner at all times. We had a lovely stay here & would highly recommend.

The Old School at Luskentyre Lodge

TracyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Norman and Leona are very friendly and great hosts. The cottage was cosy clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location is looking out to the most beautiful beach and scenery. 5min walk to beach. If you like peace and tranquility this is the place to stay. It's location is ideal to travel to other parts of the island. Norman and Leona are around if you need help with anything but they do not intrude on your privacy. I would definitely recommend to stay here. Thank you Norman and Leona we had an amazing holiday.

Lagan Glas Holiday Home

NoamRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Lagan Glas is a beautiful, luxurious cottage in a magnificent location. We had a fantastic week on Skye as a family of 5 with our Labrador. The cottage has everything you’d want for some relaxation time: XBox for the kids, log burner to drink a whisky by and stunning views to stare out to. The kitchen and dining area are superb and very well equipped and the bathrooms likewise. The location in Glendale is stunning (as is every corner of Skye) with a lovely circular walk via a rocky beach for the dog to run about and an excellent cafe for a pit stop. There’s also a very special vegetarian restaurant and tea room not far away. Karen is super helpful and swift in her responses, with excellent local insight and suggestions. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend Lagan Glas and Skye in general.

An Creagan- 4 star traditional cottage in Glendale

BernadineRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
We stayed at this beautiful and charming cottage for 5 days. It was very well clean and well equipped with all that we needed for our stay at Skye. 2 bathrooms, 2 rooms, and a well equipped kitchen! The place is also pet friendly (even though we didn’t have one), and there was even a little pet goodie bag, which was so sweet. We felt right at home as Ann left little snacks and tips on the surrounding areas. The area was absolutely beautiful. Woke up to our sheep neighbours every morning - lovely! The place was very peaceful and non-touristy, but was abit of a drive out to the main road (about 15 min). Overall we really enjoyed our stay, and would definitely recommend :) Thank you Ann!

PS thanks for the wine and biccies!

The house on the Isle of Skye was more than big enough gorgeous four or even five people. The cozy living room was great for the evenings. The company, holidaycottages, was very professional and gave us all the information we needed. And in case of an emergency or other needs, the phonenumber of the owner was available as well. The view from the house was amazing as well and the wood stove and the jacuzzi were great bonuses. Would definitely book again!

The Sheiling,Scalpay,Harris-Luxury House/Hot Tub

JuliaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Beautiful home base for a family trip to Harris, the house had lovely amenities (including Lewis chessmen game which surprisingly provided more entertainment than the massive TV for the 10 year old with us). The house was extremely clean with plenty of towels/bedding. The kitchen was lovely with everything you could ever need. The hot tub takes a long while to heat but as long as you know and prepare for that it's all good!
