Beautiful. We watched the deer every morning while we sat on the deck and had coffee. Close to Deadwood. Very clean and quite. Great place to stay!

The cabin was just as advertised and very clean. Savannah was very communicative and quick to respond to messages. We would stay here again!

Our stay at Sarah’s place was absolutely wonderful! The house and surroundings were beautiful—just like the photos. And Sarah had obviously put much thought into making her guests feel welcome. We would definitely stay here again.

Our stay was so peaceful, a beautiful home and fantastic view. We really didn't need or want for anything, could have just stayed in the whole time. The place was exactly how it looks in the photos! The beds were sooo comfortable. Tons of space! Super easy drive to deadwood and lead! You definitely would need four wheel drive to get up there in the winter!

My son loved staying at Squirrel Hill so much several years ago that he actually asked to come back for his high school graduation trip. The spot is perfect and the host is so friendly. We will definitely be back!

Our stay was amazing, it was the perfect mountain getaway from the city we live in! The cabin is located in a very quiet and secluded mountain community. We got to see lots of wildlife and we even a had a snowy day. Our stay was very peaceful and centrally located for our Black Hills adventure. We would definitely like to stay there again!

Beautiful cabin and location - it’s incredibly cozy inside and out. We loved the indoor fireplace to warm us up after a long day, and the outdoor swing to soak in the surroundings. It does get a little hot upstairs, but the three fans were more than enough to keep us cool.

This is probably one of my most favorite locations I’ve stayed in. The home has old character. The addition has a large picture window. I drank coffee early in the morning and watched deer move through the trees. The yard and outdoor space is great for kids or pets. The home backs up to national forest land is a great place to walk the dogs. A bachelor group of Elk came down through the yard and ate in the small pasture near the home. On May 19.2025 the Hill City area got a few inches of snow, there were turkey gobbling at first light. It was amazing! Very convenient to town, Custer State Park, Mount Rushmore, and Crazy Horse monument. If you enjoy the outdoors this place is for you!!

This place was spectacular, even better than the photos indicated. The setting could not be more gorgeous and we could have spent the whole time just sitting in the yard taking in the views. We were looking for a calm, peaceful, serene get-away where we could take hikes and this place fit the bill perfectly. The house was clean and abundantly provisioned. Everything was in order and very clean. Julie the Co-Host was responsive immediately when I had a question and was helpful. We’ll definitely go back when we return to the Black Hills.

it was very clean and cozy. Beautiful place. Would stay again if they would have us. only 2 things, 1 Toni way under estimated the parking area, there was far more parking than we would ever needed. 2 grill could use some work or replaced. only one burner would light with igniter. everything else was great.

They couldnt have been better hosts. when my son felt sick Bruce sent feel better wishes. Very friendly. Will help at a moments notice. pool was clean. restraunt great. just a peaceful quiet relaxing place. have been there 2 yrs in a row and will return again. Thanks Bruce!!!!

We were there for over a week and enjoyed our stay. It was peaceful, private, and had a beautiful view of the hills and pastures. We enjoyed sitting on the porch looking out over the valley and hills with the only sound being the birds chirping. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pans, gadgets, and appliances. It was perfect for family gatherings as there was room to spread out. We appreciated the large selection of board games as we had quite a bit of rain during our stay. We enjoyed visiting with David and his wife when they came to mow and topped off the cistern with extra water. They let us know before they came and made sure we had everything we needed. We hope to stay again sometime!

We absolutely loved this little place! Definitely off the beaten path and it was so peaceful. If you love quiet this is the place to stay! Margaret & Derito were the perfect hosts! Derito gave us recommendations for places to eat, and Margaret made us a wonderful dessert! We loved their trout pond. We are already planning our return visit to this beautiful place! We enjoyed our little trips into Sturgis, Deadwood, Mt Rushmore, Keystone and Nemo. We loved renting an atv and went trail riding. Exploring natural beauty was priceless. We already have a list started of things we didn’t see this trip to hit up next year! Thank you so much for the perfect place for some much needed downtime from our day to day busy life! Great stay. Hosts were very gracious and warm. Cabins are on their farm, plenty of opportunities for our daughters to interact with goats, cows, etc. Cabins are very clean, and we enjoyed the delicious farm fresh chicken and duck eggs. Location is a bit outside of Rapid City but equidistant to a number of local attractions. There is a great swimming area with diving cliffs near by. It is well water supplied but not a big deal to us. Over all, extremely satisfied.

This was such an amazing house to spend the weekend in! The house was clean, absolutely beautiful, and had everything we needed! Would definitely rent this place again on my next trip to Deadwood!

Don't hesitate - book it. This place is incredible & one of my favorite Airbnb stays of all-time. When they say "Off-Grid Luxury", they MEAN IT down to the detail. The tile in the bathroom, the beautiful fire places, the tools in the kitchen; everything feels elevated, purposeful, and just NICE. We were celebrating our 8-year anniversary and found it to be the perfect place for us two; we didn't leave for the entire weekend. We cooked every meal, sat by the fire and talked, laid in the sunroom and watched birds, and made fires at night to watch the stars. It's incredibly secluded and felt like we were in our own little world (in the best way!) Things to note: it is remote (which is WONDERFUL), but if there's snow, have a car with 4-wheel drive. Also, the closest grocery store is at least a 30-minute drive (I think), so bring food with you! It is SO worth it. I am already trying to plan the next time we can go back!!

We loved this cabin. So many thoughtful touches. First time to SD & loved the area. Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park, Needles Highway & walking the town. The chuck wagon ride & dinner from Blue Bell Lodge was so much fun! Highly recommend for your visit to the Black Hills. Only negative for us is that we’d prefer a shower & not a tub/shower due to difficulty getting in & out of a tub.

We genuinely loved the place and appreciated how clean it was. My wife is a clean freak and it gave it her full approval. It was perfect size for our family of four and the decor, comforts, and setting made it so cozy we extended our stay a few days. It is a little longer drive to most tourist spots but we wanted the peace and quiet of being off the popular spots. Waking up to deer and turkeys everyday and having space to grill and play outside with almost no traffic was so worth it. Linda was helpful with everything we needed, including food recommendations. Truly enjoyed our visit and are already talking about going back next year.

It’s a unique cabin with lots of room for the entire family. It’s close to Deadwood and an easy drive to the badlands. The surrounding property is beautiful. Dean and Teresa were great hosts!

We came to ride the many forest roads and trails on our UTV. The bunkhouse was clean and well supplied with all the essentials. The natural surroundings are beautiful and the location was perfect for our needs.
