I would definitely stay here again, it was in the perfect part of town, we walked more than we drove.

The place really is a gem. Doug obviously enjoys the property himself, and is excited to share it with others who can appreciate the quiet and peaceful countryside, as well as the "smalltown America" surroundings where history is appreciated and things can slow down. He puts a great deal of attention to all the details, from the tasteful, history-themed decorations, to the botanical beauty of the yard and vases, to the comfort of the cabin and the many amenities the cabin has to offer. Doug was always attentive and spends his time continuing to improve the property and adjacent sapces. My wife and I stayed there alone, but we would gladly return with our kids in the future. I actually hope that leaving such a good review doesn't hurt my chances of being able to book a return visit...

Perfect place for a little unplugged weekend get away. We went with another couple - wasn’t great sleeping arrangements for all four of us since there is only 1 full size bed (which was SO comfortable) but was what we expected since we booked an RV. I would also suggest bringing camping chairs if you want to sit around the fire. Oh and FYI - kind of a hidden driveway but Jackie was very easy to get ahold of!!

Shanna was the perfect hostess! The Lodge was perfect for us. It was private and had beautiful surroundings. It was perfect our stay to see my brother in Zanesville. We enjoyed exploring other areas. We were able to get to the neighboring towns easily. The scenery is breathtaking. We also enjoyed riding through the Amish area. We felt at home from the moment we walked in. We enjoyed our stay and plan to return. We had the pleasure of meeting Shanna. She was so nice and helpful!
