Gorgeous natural build in the forest above the lake. Great amenities for a remote location. Can walk or take affordable local transport (boat or tuk-tuk) to any of the surrounding lake towns. Restaurants within walking distance. Safe neighborhood for a female solo traveler.

The pictures do not do this place justice. The views are incredible, and the natural light that the home gets during the day makes the stay feel so calm and peaceful. We extended our stay multiple times and could easily live here for a few months if we had the time. There aren't many pictures of the bathroom on the advertisement, but this was one of oru favourite parts. It is outside, which is small hindrance at night, but the view from the washroom is unmatched as you can see the volcanoes. The hosts were wonderful and very responsive, and Juan, the property manager, was always available to help us. Our dog, Evie, loved the small yard and we got some beautiful pictures of her on the sun deck. We were very glad to have a safe space for her to be outdoors. We hope o come back again one day.

Great spot for a couple nights in Tecpan! A little removed from town, so you can still hear some of the noise, but the cabin itself is peaceful and the hosts are very helpful.

Eco cottage was so cozy and homey. We got a bit lost on our initial arrival but Luzmi came down and personally showed us how to get up and gave a tour of the beautiful place. We walked to town once and decided to catch a lancha for the remainder of our stay. The place was very clean and Luzmi even provided drinking water. Wonderful stay. Amazing host. Would definitely recommend

An Unforgettable Stay with Breathtaking Views Casa Zen offers one of the most stunning views we’ve experienced — sunrise and sunset from the room are simply magical. The space is well maintained and peaceful, and while it can get a bit chilly at night, it only adds to the cozy mountain atmosphere. Important to note: getting to the room is a bit of a trek. The path involves walking past a tub area, climbing stairs, and navigating a few turns that aren’t clearly marked in the listing. It’s definitely worth it once you arrive, but guests should be prepared — and pack light! Thankfully, there’s a wonderful tuk-tuk driver who works closely with the hosts. He helped us with everything from carrying luggage to delivering food and organizing transport. A true lifesaver and a key part of the experience. San Marcos is a small, quiet village with a strong focus on vegan and vegetarian food. We explored all the surrounding towns, and we found Aman Hotel they make the rest of the trip word it ..

Excelente lugar, con una vista espectacular. Solo para salir y entrar hay que asegurarse de llevar lo necesario de comida. Ya que bajar al pueblo es algo complicado. Se debe pasar por una comunidad y varios callejones que de noche si se siente algo peligroso Adicional el parqueo se paga adicional y el señor del Tuc Tuc está disponible pero si cobra algo excesivo.

Hiking trails were close by and terrific. Access to the lake was not discovered.

Excelente opción para quedarte en panajachel, la vista que ofrece frente a los volcanes es incomparable, amanecer y atardecer increíble desde tu habitación, no está a orilla de playa pero es fácil acceder a ella, me recibió Sergio sumamente amable y amigable, me dio recomendaciones y por la noche tienen un bar con música electrónica genial !! Si no te molesta dormir con música o bullicio, está genial !! Además a un lado está el muelle para acceder a todas los pueblitos de atitlan.

Tuve una excelente estadía! El lugar es precioso, tranquilo y privado que es lo que buscaba para poderme desconectar del bullicio y carreras del día a día. Otto fue siempre atento y amigable, me permitió hacer el check in un poco antes, con la disponibilidad de poder hacer el check out un poco más tarde; y Nicolás, el guardián, siempre atento y dispuesto a ayudar. Las instalaciones del Hotel El Bambú muy bonitas y el personal y gerencia muy amables y amigables. Todo estuvo súper, Hermoso lugar 🙏🏻

What a wonderful stay I had. I would definitely return to stay if I got the chance again. The property is just as described and much more. You can take a tuk tuk to and from panajachel Narciso has a great recommendation. Ask for Nestor’s number. The apartment was clean and just as described. Great view of the lake. The bed is comfy and so are the pillows and sheets. Great water pressure in the shower. I loved being able to take a break from work and go down for a swim/little workout. I would definitely return

My kids LOVED the swimming pool and jacuzzi. Also we took the kayaks on the lake for a morning paddle. There's also a sauna on the property, which we briefly tried. The little house was perfect for our needs and had everything we needed - its at the very top of the hills, so a bit of a trek. Restaurant at the bottom was OK - we enjoyed the tacos, and the fruit smoothie drinks. One note - be careful about closing the door, as it will automatically lock - we accidentally locked ourselves out, and the restaurant didn't have the key. Would absolutely stay here again!

A wonderful, magical place! Food was D-licious and staff super helpful and friendly. The walk to the hotel is quite the hike and challenging with the amount of bags I had, but totally worth it! Thank you for the hospitality!

hola fue muy bonita experiencia, lo recomiendo, pero tal vez ayudaría un poco tener cortinas no trasparentes en la cabaña para sentirse cómodos. y no tener tantos lazos de colgar ropa en todo el espacio para que pueda apreciarse más el hermoso lugar. pero todo lo demás muy acogedor y Chello muy atento. gracias por la experiencia.

This place stole our hearts!! Everything was perfect since the booking date. Miguel is extremely friendly and responded to all our questions. The place is only 4 min walk from the boat, the scenic views, the pool, the hot tub, the bed, everything absolutely impeccable. The staff were always super friendly. We tried all restaurants around and everything we ate was delicious. Please give yourself time to enjoy this gorgeous place and make sure to book a massage .. you will not regret it.

Situé au cœur de la nature c'est très agréable, le personnel est très aimable. L'écologie est très bien respectée. La chambre est très bien, la nourriture peu chère et très bonne. Je recommande.

Truly an amazing stay! Overall I really enjoyed this space, the views, peaceful and tranquil environment. I really appreciated the supportive and helpful host, rapidly responding to my questions or requests and providing an excellent experience in Tzununa on a daily basis! The house, outdoor space, bedrooms and bathrooms were perfect for my needs. Having the privacy to a house and front yard after busy days of travel was ideal and relaxing. Considering how close to the lake it is, there is no smell or humidity when keeping the door or windows open, which I prefer! The house was accessible through the local boats, with its own boarding dock always readily available. I highly recommend this house to anyone who is looking for a private and peaceful home during their travels!
