Family-friendly vacation rentals in Soldiers Point

This is an amazing property overlooking one of Australia’s most beautiful beaches. The view is breathtaking and instantly relaxing. Glenyss was a fantastic host and was responsive and friendly in all communication. Highly recommended!

Our stay at Bella Vista was pure heaven. It’s been 10 days since we left and every day we have reminisced, scrolled through photos and contemplated when we can visit again! My son said today ‘I don’t want to go to school, why can’t we just live at Bella Vista!!’ This place was perfect for a family getaway. It was spacious, luxurious, peaceful and had everything we needed. The view is incredible. We can’t wait to go back.

We stayed here to attend a wedding at Eaglereach. It is remote, but not as hard to get to as we'd feared. The road up is narrow and windy, not as steep as I'd expected and tarred most of the way so quite driveable. The Gallery is one of a number of houses in the Eaglereach precinct, but others are barely visible so it is quite private. The house was comfortable but could be improved with a more up to date kitchen - there is no dishwasher, for example. It was a chilly weekend and I would have appreciated some heating in the bathroom, which is a bit spartan. Also we were surprised there was no doona on the bed and no electric blanket. But the location is what you pay for and it was beautiful and peaceful, and the wallabies do come right up to the back door!

Armando is a Super host. He looked after us very well. Even though we cut short our trip, we hope to enjoy Armando's home, in our next visit to Newcastle.

Bundera Lodge was great for a short holiday getaway. Wonderful views across the valley, peaceful surroundings, and most importantly a great coffee machine :) Tim was really helpful and gave clear instructions. Everything in the lodge was in the right place and was working. The kitchen was well-stocked and had a variety of pots, pans, and appliances for cooking up a feast. Thanks so much!

We have known about this accomodation for some time having visiting the team at the diamond collective and indulging in their wonderful chocolates just hadn’t got round to marking a reservation. Extremely comfortable and spacious accomodation. The house was spotless and well maintained. We were spoilt for choice for activities from swimming tennis cycling and a bit of bush walking. Lovely products included in the welcome hamper and would highly recommend ordering some pizzas to have in the coal fire pizza oven they were delicious Bonus to know we are supporting a not for profit Will definitely return!

Little Nest - absolutely stunning views! The cabin was perfectly private for a couple's weekend away - everywhere we looked - indoors and out - there was a place to sit and relax. Even though the time of year that we visited meant the weather was quite blustery, we enjoyed reading on the deck under the provided blankets and cushions with a delicious cup of tea in the afternoon, then setting up some wine and cheese next to the bubbling outdoor spa before dashing back inside to the warmth of the wood fireplace. We checked out the old vinyl as we cooked our meals in the cute kitchen and played our own tunes via Bluetooth as we challenged each other to a good ol' game of Phase 10 in the evenings. The bedrooms, bathrooms and sitting areas were inviting, clean, and filled with character. Exactly what we needed after work and life has been so hectic! Definitely on the list to visit again.

Joe's place was exactly as described - tranquile farm stay with all kinds of wildlife visits! It even had everything for breakfast - bread, eggs, cereals, coffee and fruits! even an avocado!!! we also needed some extra milk and he was able to help with that! thank you Joe - we'll come again!

We had such a lovely stay – the place was warm and cosy, perfect for a relaxing family retreat. It’s in a quiet bush setting but still super convenient, just a 10-minute drive to Merewether Beach and Hickson Street Lookout. We loved taking our dogs for walks along Merewether Beach and even found a great dog-friendly café nearby – the perfect spot for an early brekkie and sunrise. The lookout was stunning at sunset, though dogs aren’t allowed there, so we left ours in the car for a short while. The cottage has a big wooden table out on the deck, and we really enjoyed having lunch there, listening to the frogs singing while the dogs explored the garden. Such great value for a pet-friendly getaway. Thanks so much, Stewart!

We loved our stay at Lauren’s place! Beautiful, modern interior, walking distance to Shoal Bay for restaurants, pub, bike hire or to watch the dolphins at sunset. Or for the more intrepid, lots of hiking options right out the back door. The house was so well-equipped we also spent some days enjoying the pool, pizza oven and outdoor entertaining area. Highly recommended!

Great house to stay in! Very spacious and close to the beach/shops and a short drive from other surrounding beaches and shops. Amazing price for what you get as well. Lovely back yard and easy to get in to.

This is the second time we’ve visited Paul’s place and hopefully they’ll be another. It’s a quintessential Australian coast house, full of character and warmth. The beach is across the road and you fall asleep with the sound of the ocean. Heaven! Great back yard, everything you need and Paul is a 10 out of 10 host!

Wow! This terrace house built in 1890 is so well maintained and we just loved our stay. My daughter and I found the house equipped with everything we needed. The location was so close to the beach, convenience store, cafes and dinner options. The beds were so comfortable and warm. Highly recommend !

Had the most wonderful time celebrating our friends baby shower. The house is equipped with rain hail or shine plans. The pool was beautiful temp, the house was presented lovely. Everyone was so incredibly impressed with this place. We will hope to return. Such a great place to enjoy. Sunny views and beautiful sunrises.

Great place, convenient.

We had a fantastic stay in this apartment! The views of Fingal Bay were absolutely spectacular, and the short walk to the beach made it even better. We loved having the little grocery store and cafés just downstairs—so convenient. The underground parking and elevator access straight to the second-floor apartment were a huge plus. The large covered balcony was perfect for relaxing, and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed. We also appreciated how peaceful the area was while still being close to amenities. The only minor issue was sometimes the buses will idle at the bus stop near the apartment and if you have your doors open it can be a bit loud. But it’s only a couple of times per day we noticed it. Definitely recommend the apartment.

We had a lovely stay at One Mile Ridge. The kids loved the infinity pool & spa! The villa was clean and conveniently located within a short drive of beaches and shops.

The kids and I had the loveliest stay at Amanda’s house. It was so cosy & the host is amazing as well. Wished we booked longer!

Our extended family had a wonderful long weekend at Windmill Lodge. There is lots of space and the kitchen is well stocked with everything you need for large groups. We also made use of the wood fire for pizza and the extra large paella pan. Lots of lounges and seating and a big long dining table perfect for large groups. Tanya was very helpful is setting up extra beds as we required and we felt very at home.
