Comfortable and a great view from a large deck! Enjoyed our stay.

It was really peaceful staying at Laura’s place on the coast! I was passing through Brookings from California on my way back to Seattle and this place had everything I needed. The internet was really fast and great for video calls at work. I would stay here again!

I was actually surprised how quiet and peaceful this place was. Tucked back into trees, it felt secluded but it really wasn’t. Just a quick drive into town, to the beach, to the redwoods. Perfect place for what we were looking for. Thank you.

Place was newly renovated and had a beautiful view. The outdoor area made the place. Definitely would stay again!

My husband and I just had a lovely weekend at Sugar Mountain. This little gem of a cabin is situated on a slope among towering fir and cedar trees. Looking out of the windows or sitting on the deck you almost feel as if you’re in a tree house high above the ground. Awesome views of the surrounding forest. The home seems isolated because you can’t see other houses and yet it is in a woodsy, quiet neighborhood within a 10-minute drive of Brookings. The home was super clean and well-stocked with all the basics and is warm, welcoming and thoroughly charming. We slept in the main floor bedroom with its double bed and excellent mattress with super soft sheets and duvet. Upstairs in the loft are another double and a queen bed. We woke both mornings to the sounds of birdsong and the wind in the branches; so peaceful! Our host was quick to reply to my questions and extremely helpful. All in all, we hope to stay again the next time we travel to the coast.

This cabin is amazing! It has everything you might need and is incredibly charming. A dream place to stay!

Dont be deceived by the small exterior, this cabin was very spacious and super comfortable! It is in a great location- Crescent City is a lovely city and is conveniently near Redwood Parks. Highly reccomend!

We had a fantastic stay here! No complaints. Unreal views of the ocean. From the recliner chairs to the balcony and even the hot tub, we had a relaxing time watching the waves crash and sun set. Would recommend this stay to anyone. Worth the price for an unforgettable coastal getaway.

Beautiful location on the river and we really enjoyed the hot tub kayaks and the view. The redwood lined driveway was very cool and we were close to the hikes we wanted to do.

We really enjoyed our stay! It was the perfect stay for our time exploring the Redwoods national and state parks as well as the beach! We loved catching the evening sunsets on the beach- walkable from the property! They also had beach chairs to use which was a nice touch. The pictures don’t do it justice, the great reviews are what gave me confidence to book and I’m glad I did! Activities: - James Irvine trail, Redwoods - Big Tree, Redwoods - Howland Hill Rd, Redwoods up close! - Beach time Food: - Railhouse Pub and grill (Brookings, OR) - Railroad St Market deli (Brookings, OR) - delicious sandwiches inside a convenience store! -Sea front banking company (Crescent City, CA) didn’t get to try this place but it was on our list!

We had such a wonderful time! It was our first time to the pacific coast, and with the most perfect magical gateway to the beach directly from the property. The neighborhood was quiet, the beach was so much fun and beautiful! Two cities to enjoy just a short drive away!

We loved our stay in Smith River! We stayed a bit longer term for about a month due to work. Rachael was always very responsive on messages any time we had any issues and ready to fix it. There was a couple small things that needed replaced in the kitchen and she swiftly sent us the things we needed to get things up and running. We didn’t use all the beds but I can say the room we stayed in had a comfy bed. One of the rooms our daughter used was a bit firm of a mattress. Overall a very positive experience, I would say a couple things could use some updating just due to wearing out over time such as sheets and towels, and then was a bit of a bummer that the yard was not mowed while we were there as it would have been much more usable for us and enjoyable for our kiddos to play in the nice little back yard :) not the end of the world but would have been nice. Very happy overall with our stay and would love to stay again sometime! Smith River is a very nice centrally located town too!

Home was like its own retreat! Has neighbors but would not know. Gorgeous views, warmer than the coast, well stocked, and very clean! Will definitely be back!

This was our third stay at Dana’s place and it was just as amazing as the first. When you first walk in you are immediately surrounded by a relaxing environment with a feeling of peace and an amazing view. Lots of fun on the beach and close to the hiking destinations we were headed to. We are looking forward to coming back again. There is so much to explore in the area. Dana is a wonderful host, checking in when we get there to make sure we are comfortable. Thank you again Dana!
