Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Sitia

We enjoyed a fantastic four days in Aris’ place, the views of the plateau and mountains are just beautiful! We felt right at home, and it was lovely to have Aris and his wife physically there at check in, a rarity these days! The images really don’t do this place justice, it is up some winding roads but we were prepared for that having visited the plateau in 2012. We can’t recommend staying here more, we really wish we’d have booked a longer stay! Aris had a fantastic hire car recommendation too, which was also great, and we had some amazing recommendations from them too. Thank you very much Aris!

Pasiphae House was something out of a dream! It was beautifully designed in the traditional Crete Village homes style. The location is isolate in the mountains, but amongst a great community of people. We were greeted by Yianna and Koula that gave us the walk through of the house, and we're always in constant communication. Ioanna supplied us with a long list of things to do and try in the area which we took full advantage of. Overall it was a beautiful stay and would highly recommend.

Et lille godt byhus i en skøn by. I løbet af dagen kommer turisterne til byen, men om aftenen er det primært de lokale man møder, når man går ud og spiser eller får en kop kaffe. Der er mange spændende ting at se på Østkreta, så dagen gik hurtigt. Huset var rigtig fint og meget rent. Udsigten fra altanen fra enestående. Der var stillet en velkomstkurv frem, så man følte sig meget velkommen. Værterne var søde at skrive når der var noget relevant (eksempelvis at vi skulle passe på i trafikken da der både var lidt regn og vejarbejde fra lufthavnen👍).

Very private, no noise from neighbors. We hardly heard any noise from the traffic as the apartment is not directly on the road. We stayed for a week and spent much time on the incredible balcony: you can always find a space in the shade there. We loved the Galini beach nearby. only downside is that you have to walk for 200 meters along the road, as there is no footpath. There is a private beach closer by, but not everyone will be willing to climb down. It's doable for most people, but it is no walk in the park. If you like solitude, or if the Galini beach is too crowded, then certainly try to go the private beach. The WiFi in the apartment and on the balcony is good enough to stream video to one laptop. We had a tremendous time and certainly will come back some time in the future

The house is fantastic - it’s comfortable, cute, and in a great location. It’s well stocked / supplied, and the courtyard is nice for an early morning / evening hang-out. If you haven’t stayed in a traditional-style house before, it’s a great opportunity to do so. Eleni is lovely and was really helpful - we had an issue with the wifi & she was in touch to fix it right away. Kavousi is a great place to stay in its own right, or to base yourself if you’re adventuring around east Crete.

This was our favourite stay of the trip. The place is idyllic, with a private swimming area only a few steps away. The house is decorated tastefully and gives a really nice indoor-outdoor feeling with the large patio and sliding doors. The kitchen is extremely well-stocked with everything you might need to cook, including well-sharpened knives! Manolis brought us some fresh vegetables from the farm, which were delicious. Everything about the place is thoughtful and we loved our stay there. It is ideal for a trip where you want to spend a lot of time relaxing at the house and hanging out, it is so nice we barely wanted to leave!

Wir waren 6 Tage in Amandas schönem Haus. Alles war blitzsauber. Die Küche groß, mit allem was man braucht. Wir haben das Haus nicht gleich gefunden, es liegt etwas versteckt. Amanda kam gleich und hat uns dort hingebracht. Die obere Terrasse ist groß und sehr gemütlich für das Frühstück und abends zum Ausklingen des Tages. 2 Tavernen sind zu Fuß schnell erreichbar. Man kann dort gut und supergünstig essen. Was uns besonders an Limnes gefallen hat, waren die Bewohner. Sie waren alle superfreundlich und total hilfsbereit. Wir waren mit unserem kleinen Hund dort. Leider sind Hunde im Norden Kretas an den Stränden (z.B Elounda) nicht erwünscht. Deshalb werden wir weiterhin wieder in den Süden gehen, wo wir seit 20 Jahren unsere Urlaube verbringen. Vielen Dank an Amanda für die Überlassung ihres urgemütlichen Hauses!

Wir haben uns in dem schön renovierten alten Haus sofort wohlgefühlt. Auch wenn die Fotos es ein wenig größer erscheinen lassen, das Haus versprüht seinen Charme und ist top ausgestattet und mit viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet worden. Elina ist super hilfreich und hat uns zahlreiche Tipps für unseren Aufenthalt gegeben. Die (einzige) Taverne im Ort ist ein paar Schritte entfernt und ausgezeichnet. Beim Raki-Konsum in der Taverne sollte man allerdings zurückhaltend sein, sonst könnte retour im Haus die steile Stiege in das obere Stockwerk zur unüberwindbaren Hürde werden. Da ist Trittsicherheit gefordert. Die Pefkoi-Schlucht lässt sich ganz einfach direkt vom Quartier aus erwandern. Belohnt wird man mit einer schönen Tour und wunderbaren Blicken hinunter nach Makri Gialos und zu den lohnenden Stränden. Wer in seinem Urlaub authentisches, kretisches Dorfleben erleben möchte, der ist mit dem Haus von Elina in Pefkoi sehr gut beraten.

appartamento moderno pulitissimo molto carino fornito di tutto,aria condizionata cucina attrezzata lavatrice letto comodo,unica pecca la mancanza della lavastoviglie. attorno a casa c'erano diversi gatti e inoltre 4 adorabili cani che vivono in quella zona, ma non abbiate paura sono dolcissimi e innocui, gli abbiamo dato da mangiare durante tutto il nostro soggiorno e ci facevano sempre le feste, se potete vi preghiamo di fare altrettanto, a creta non c'e' una vera concezione degli animali da compagnia e ancor meno dei cani randagi abbandonati a se stessi, un piccolo gesto puo' fare la differenza, grazie di cuore.

Ein wunderbares Appartement mit einem schönen Blick über die Olivenbäume zum Wasser. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Für uns hätte es nicht besser sein können. Und da wir schon sehr viele Jahre nach Keratokambos fahren, werden wir sicherlich wieder kommen. Alles war picobello und ausgesprochen gemütlich. Vielen Dank

Dieses Appartement hat eine bezaubernde Lage zu Agios Nicolaos. So einen Ausblick am Morgen zum Frühstück und am Abend mit einem Wein, der dir von deinem sehr freundlichem Gastgeber als Geschenk beschert wurde, von der atemberaubenden Terasse zu genießen, war für uns ein großes Geschenk. Wir sind schon in vielen Airbnb Appartements zu Gast gewesen, doch Eirinis Wohnung war für uns etwas Besonderes. Die absolute Sauberkeit und die sehr gut ausgestattete Küche hat uns beeindruckt. Da wir auch gerne selber Speisen zubereiten, war es schön zu sehen, dass hierfür fast alles zur Verfügung stand. Schon beim ersten schriftlichen Kontakt und der herzlichen, persönlichen Übergabe der Wohnung erlebten wir die griechiche Gastfreundschaft und wußten auch das Begrüßungspaket in Form von Obst, Wein und diversen anderen netten Dingen sehr zu schätzen. Wir bedanken uns für eine wunderbare Zeit und werden bei unserem nächsten Kreta-Besuch bestimmt wiederkommen.

Super Kontakt mit Irini. Wir bekamen kurzfristig Bescheid, daß wir früher einchecken konnten. Wir hatten eine persönliche Schlüsselübergabe. Irina hat uns alles gezeigt, selbst für das 1. Frühstück war der Kühlschrank gefüllt. Trotz der sehr zentralen Lage, viel ruhiger als erwartet, keinerlei Lärmbelästigung. Zu Bedenken ist bei Anreise mit eigenem PKW die angespannte Parksituation und bei schweren Gepäck, das enge Treppenhaus bis in die 2. Etage. Der Ausblick entschädigt aber für alle Mühe. Wir würden wiederkommen.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt in dieser gemütlichen Wohnung. Die weite Aussicht von der Terrasse ist wunderbar und ein Strand ist fussläufig zu erreichen. Es gibt mehrere Strände in der Nähe. Die Wohnung ist sehr komfortabel und geräumig.

The apartment was ideally located, very close to the beach and restaurants, but we were not disturbed by any noise whatsoever. Plenty of space for a couple and a small child. The outdoor terrace has a good view of the sea. Magdalena was the perfect host, arranging transport to and from the airport and quickly responded to any questions we had. We basically had a very good time and will hopefully return in the future.

This place is simply incredible. We stayed in the top unit for a 1 week vacation and absolutely loved it. The view of the ocean from the balcony was vast and breath taking, so much stillness peace and beauty. The space was perfectly clean, new, modern and beautifully decorated with kitchen equipped with everything you need. The pool area and the pool itself was amazing, incredible view, and the house is just 5 min walking from the beach. The best part was the hosts. Giorgios the owner was super responsive and accommodating with a very late check in, it felt like family. He was even fully there for us in a time of crisis when our car broke down at a remote beach. His parents Maria and Christos are also so incredibly sweet and treated us like part of the family, offering to make us food and were fully available to us the whole time. We highly highly recommend this place, it's a hidden Gem if your looking for quiet, peace, stillness and simultaneously luxury !

Wir hatten eine phantastische Zeit in Michails Wohnung. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants sind in der Nähe. Wir waren glücklich und zufrieden. Danke Michail!

Had a 2 week stay at Villa Heliopetra. The villa was absolutely beautiful, very private with amazing views. Within easy walk to a couple of good tavernas (about 10 min but there is a steep driveway back up to the villa) and an easy and scenic walk along the seafront (about 20min) to Elounda which has lots of options for tavernas, bars and shops. The villa had efficient air conditioning, a well equipped kitchen and a cosy area with the option of a real fire in an impressive fireplace. We paid to have the large hot tub heated in the first week as the weather was unusually chilly, but used it unheated to cool down when the temperatures rose. We found it to be a great addition. The outstanding feature was the fabulous view of the bay from Spinalonga island round to Elounda, absolutely breathtaking! We had a problem with slow Wifi during our stay but Giorgos sorted it very quickly. He was a brilliant host and very responsive to any questions. We would love to come back to stay again soon.

Top Unterkunft in extrem ruhiger Lage. Man hört die Vögel zwitschern und keinen lästigen Lärm. An den Strassen im direkteren Umkreis ist sehr wenig los. Der Pool ist recht groß und stets erfrischend (Anfang Juni ca. 22-24 Grad). Die Pool-Area hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Aussicht ist top und unverbaut! Eine abolute Empfehlung unsererseits für Leute die Ruhe wünschen!!

Highly recommend Jan’s gorgeous home. We witnessed some of our favorite sunsets here and the house itself is just a beauty. Everything we needed was available in the kitchen to cook up a great meal. It was also such a great location to a lot of areas we wanted to visit. Jan gave us a lot of recommendations and we ended up going to a few of the restaurants Jan sent us to! If you’re looking for a beautiful, private airbnb that is situated in a central place near all the beaches you’d likely go to, this is your spot!

Es gibt Aussichten, die mehr sagen als tausend Gespräche – und diese hier spricht in stiller Poesie. Vom Haus aus breitet sich die Küstenlinie aus wie ein gemalter Gedanke, mit kleinen Eilanden, die im Licht treiben wie Träume im Halbschlaf. Morgens liegt die See da wie ein Spiegel der Ruhe, abends glitzert sie, als hätte jemand Sterne darin versenkt. Das Haus selbst ist ein stiller Diener: modern, zweckmäßig, geschmackvoll – ein Ort, an dem alles da ist, wo es hingehört. Man lebt hier nicht gegen die Zeit, sondern mit ihr. Wer je dort stand und schwieg, weiß: Das war genug.

This Villa was a dream and Antonis was an amazingly helpful and responsive Host. We stayed with two babies and literally felt like we were in a hotel. Everything was pristine, clean and sparkling. The views are unbelievable and the Pool was clean and well cared for. All in all this is an amazing Villa and we would be delighted to return.

Voor de tweede keer verbleven in Villa Atalandia, en het was opnieuw een droomvakantie. Vanaf het hartelijke welkom door Faidra, die ons een rondleiding gaf en een prachtig welkomstgeschenk aanbood, voelden we ons meteen thuis. We vierden iets speciaals en werden verrast met een extra attentie, wat de ervaring nóg persoonlijker maakte. De villa straalt oog voor detail uit, met stijlvolle schilderijen, bedlinnen en handdoeken met logo. De BBQ onder de sterrenhemel was romantisch, en de zwembaden waren heerlijk schoon en goed onderhouden. De villa draait op zonnepanelen en heeft een eigen waterzuiveringsinstallatie, wat bijdraagt aan het veilige en milieuvriendelijke gevoel. De uitgebreide map met tips voor uitstapjes en restaurants was erg handig, en de boottocht naar Koufonisi was perfect georganiseerd. Een ideale plek voor een rustige gezinsvakantie met prachtige uitzichten, romantische restaurants en een adembenemende route van de luchthaven naar de villa.

We had an amazing week - we really enjoyed the house and its amenities and the beach is just across the street, so it’s a great place to disconnect and enjoy. If you like to run, there’s a long beach just a few mins away. Hosts were great, very responsive and super helpful. 100% recommend, would definitely come back.

We stayed here for my bachelorette trip with a group of girls and had the most amazing time! The villa was even more beautiful in person – clean, spacious, and full of charm. The outdoor space was perfect for lounging by the pool- he even tried helping us heat the pool bc we got a chilly day so we still had a great time and soaking in the Greek view. Our host was incredibly responsive and kind, helping us with everything from local tips to arranging transportation and a private boat trip and massages . It truly felt like a dream getaway – peaceful, private, and full of good vibes LUXURIOUS- 5 STAR Highly recommend for anyone who wants a good trip all the way around- group trip, girls’ getaway, or any special occasion! Thank you for making our stay in Crete unforgettable!
