Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Shaver Lake

we stayed here as we planned to hike half dome. Pimmy and Jason are amazing hosts, and their home is just perfect with an amazing sunset view. its a 20mins drive to park entrance 90 drive from theirs to the half dome trailhead. will be checking back in for availability at this place when we come back to Yosemite.

Such a lovely spot! the cabin was perfect for our group of 4 adults and 5 kids. Everything was just as described and nice and clean. The kitchen was stocked with all the tools you can need. Our favorite part though was the hot tub! my only advice would be to bring a white noise machine or earplugs as you can hear everything in the house at night and the loft has a curtain door. Thanks for a great stay! We would love to come back@

Only an hour away from Yosemite. This is a great stay!! it was very clean and had a full kitchen with all necessities you might need. Had great amenities and a nice lake near by. Dave was very friendly and helped us with all our needs. I would definitely recommend this stay!

It's a beautiful, spacious home. Hard to imagine a better setup for a large group. The place was clean, well stocked with cookware/towels/etc and Nina was responsive to messages.

This place is on another level of beauty and privacy. Showed up. Gate was open. The ac was already on. Place was spotless. Ice maker full with ice (huge win!!) Sit on the deck and just take in the best view around. I gotta to hang for a few min at club red. The kayak around the lake was amazing. This is a top notch compound. Incredible the paradise they have built in the middle of nowhere!! Only negative was I had to leave. Thanks Joyce and tony for your hospitality. I will be back!!!

We had such a perfect stay at Maja’s home! The view is incredible, and the various decorations around the place give it a very cozy vibe. There’s plenty of space and things to do that we never felt bored. On top of this, Maja is very kind and clearly communicated everything our group needed to know. Definitely hoping to return here someday!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It felt very private as it sits alone at the end of the street, beautiful and peaceful surroundings. It was very clean and comfortable, had everything we needed to cook and the beds were very comfortable. Angela was a great host. Very proactive in communicating and offering suggestions on things to do nearby. The drive into Yosemite was a 30 min drive to the South Gate. Would highly recommend staying here.

This a peaceful retreat in an incredibly beautiful location. The cabin is located in a small, friendly, quiet and beautiful community. The neighborhood is connected to a nice trail and leads you along a river and waterfalls. The cabin is beautifully understated. Filled with quality pieces but they’re not pretentious so you instantly feel like you’re home and it’s cosy. The patio is a perfect place to have a meal and listen to the river next to the house. I would highly recommend staying in this cabin if you want Yosemite to be accessible but you’re not in the mix. Just keep in mind to get to Yosemite and its shuttle system it’s a bit of a drive BUT the drive is beautiful and it’s worth spending extra time in the car.

Very nice, cozy spot, right next to a cafe and at the center of Oakhurst! Ann was very responsive and the place was clean. No complaints!

It was a wonderful experience! This was one of the cleanest places I’ve ever stayed in through Airbnb. The host prepared so many thoughtful amenities, and there were so many heartwarming touches throughout the trip. Especially, the homemade cookies were amazing ! so delicious and full of love! I truly appreciated the care and attention to detail. it made the stay even more special!

We really enjoyed our time here. We loved that the kitchen had different spices to cook. we stayed mainly to visit Yosemite. Sherri had several Yosemite information books available too. The entrance to Yosemite is about 30 min. Sherri is a great host, she accommodated beforehand for a setup I needed. Thank you. Ps. If you are a light sleeper, then the noises from the people on the second floor might wake you up. Overall recommended.

Phil and Lisa's place is such a gem. The best part about the property was the outdoor space. We enjoyed having breakfast on the patio and walking through the gardens in the morning. We had everything we needed and Lisa and Phil were extremely friendly and very responsive. They gave us great recommendations on things to do in the area and were quick to respond anytime we needed something. It was the perfect place to stay for our group of four exploring Yosemite and Sequoia. Highly recommend!

Das Squirrels Nest war sehr schön und gemütlich, in sehr ruhiger Lage, aber trotzdem relativ zentral in Oakhurst. Ein großer Parkplatz ist direkt vorm Haus. Debra war sehr nett, zuvorkommend und bei Fragen immer schnell zu erreichen. Auch haben wir sehr viele und gute Tipps erhalten, z.B. für Restaurants in der Gegend. Wir würden jederzeit gerne wieder kommen!

Beautiful view and within 30 minutes of Yosemite

The location was great. Close to the lake and China Peak Landing. Great hiking trails close by, kayaking, and horse rides. Place was a lot bigger than expected. My family and I will definitely stay again.

Sally's place was a great home-base for skiing at china peak mountain, about 30 minutes away. we loved the place, it was large, comfortable beds, and thoughtful touches with coffee, lotion, extra blankets etc. The home was cozy warm and we would definitely stay here again!

It was a nice place and such a wonderful atmosphere. The home is so nice and just very homey. Easy check in, has all the utensils you’ll need, and easy to get to Yosemite! The Smokehouse Grille next door is so nice! It was easy to communicate with Terri!

We had a great stay at Aaron’s condo. It’s an easy drive to the Wawona entrance to Yosemite and close to restaurants outside the park. It was clean, comfortable and provided everything we needed for our annual mother-daughter National Park trip. Aaron is a great host and we would not hesitate to stay here again.

The condo is lovely it was nice and warm when we arrived just after 9pm. They have all the basic supplies you need and lots of extras like cooking supplies, salt pepper, oil. Clean dish brushes, enough coffee, tea, sugar, toilet paper, for your entire stay! This is definitely appreciated I have rated the property 5 stars as it did not affect us, there are 2 large bedrooms, with a large walk in robe with door off the master. Not 3 bedrooms.

Great place for our family! Super close to China Peak. We did have a blizzard on Thursday evening when we were heading up, So we couldn’t make it all the way up and then, couldn’t get in the next morning because the paths were not cleared yet in the continued snow, but after a day at China peak everything was cleared and we had a great family dinner

This was a wonderful perfume stay for me and my sons as we visited Yosemite everyday. we were able to come back to the condo relax and athe washer/dryer was so convenient
