Fitness-friendly vacation rentals in Seward

Thank you Ristine for your beautiful space. This is a gem of a place as part of a set of historic apartments -- Rockwell Kent fans note the inscription near the Brown & Hawkins store entrance. General instructions are easy. Beautiful wooden floors so being gentle on your feet is a must. The views from the living room windows are breathtaking. The hot water does take a few minutes to kick in after you turn it on, but there was no trouble throughout my trip. Hope to be back some day.

My wife & I enjoyed our overnight stay at Brown & Hawkins #8. Very cool history. The location can't be beat. Had a great view of Mt Marathon out the bedroom window. Place was very clean. Definitely recommend!

Had an absolute great day at this place I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Seward! Such a cute and quaint bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom area. The host was responsive, helpful, detailed, and clear in her communication. We were pleasently surprised that it was able to accomidate our family (with children) and another family (with children) very comfortably. The layout of the house is long and narrow. The heaters do a good job in the main living areas. The kitchen was nice. There was plenty of bedding and towels. Her checking-out requests were easy to accomidate.

Great location, good water pressure in the showers; beds were firm. Each suite can be rented out separately, with two rooms upstairs sharing a bathroom and each bottom floor suite with a private bath. Just keep in mind that there is no living room to congregate in if you rent the entire space, but there's an airy, open kitchen/dining area with a great view to hang out in. Many good restaurants are walking distance, a great coffee shop across the way, and the boat docks about a 20 minute walk away.

This place is absolutely gorgeous. The home itself has beautiful woodworking through out. The property is stunning and gives a cozy atmosphere. The best part for me personally was being able to bird watch on the private beach.

Fantastic Alaskan Experience! Our family of four had the BEST time staying at the Eagle’s Nest during our visit to Seward. The house is really wonderful: well-heated complete with heated floors, excellent water pressure and the water heater was cranked up to 11 (just how I like it), a luxurious bath, and lots of games, toys, puzzles, and books for all ages to stay entertained during any downtime. The location is excellent - just a few minutes drive to town and a short distance to dog sledding, delicious food, and incredibly beautiful hikes to a glacier. Plus, we saw a bald eagle outside the bedroom window within minutes of checking in (and multiple times throughout our stay)! My two children (8 and 12 years old) say the Eagle’s Nest is their favorite place we’ve ever stayed. We hope to return soon!

The code to enter the house wasn’t set up but luckily a gardener was able to reset the code for us and the host was responsive during this issue. Great stay in a beautiful location—walkable to downtown/stores. We enjoyed our stay.

The house feels super big and spacious. 7 of us were super comfortable, and easy access to all things Seward!
