This is a rental cottage by the sea on Naoshima, a sacred place for art. There are two buildings, one on the sea side and one on the mountain side, and Lani is the building on the mountain side. Free parking is available on-site, which is rare in Naoshima. The building is a separate two-story building, and the first floor bedroom has 6 beds, and the second floor Japanese-style room can accommodate up to 2 futons, so it can accommodate 6 to 8 people. It is ideal for families and friends, as well as for student training camps and seminars, as it has a family-type kitchen and washing machine. It is a 3-minute walk from OHANA to Yellow Pumpkin, and a 2-minute walk from the nearest bus stop, making it an ideal base for sightseeing in Naoshima. Enjoy a relaxing time in Naoshima in a room made with plenty of wood by a local carpenter. We have also started a Naoshima sightseeing tour for Ohana guests. There are many places in Naoshima, such as the art museum, that require reservations in advance, and we hope to provide a more fulfilling Naoshima sightseeing experience for those who use the tour, such as arranging tickets, car pick-up and drop-off, and even Naoshima sightseeing by rental bicycle. Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.
