Water Forest Retreat -Octagon

Water Forest retreat is a very private 122ft.² electrified and heated cedar octagon next to a brook on 56 acres of forest with a pond, waterfall, marsh and hiking trails. Cozy up in this quiet comfortable space while listening to Goldmine brook while you sleep. Fire pit, heated outhouse with composting toilet, outdoor dining area, brook, pond and trail head are just steps away. We also have a TREE HOUSE and HIKER’S HAVEN house by the brook. Be a little bohemian, stay in an artist’s studio for two adults, views of woods and stone walls.walk along a 300 stone wall past a 5000 gallon koi pond, and discover a stone sculpture in the woods. Wall of windows, private deck, queen size bed, kitchenette, full bath, dishwasher, Wi-Fi, cable tv, guest robes, iron and board, kuerig, all necessary utensils. Quite, tranquil, relax. Pool has surcharge $20 if weather is good during your stay.

Guesthouse Farm Stay

Come stay with us on our working farm. Relax and take in our beautiful 12-acre property while sitting on the back deck, overlooking pastures. Or for a more interactive experience, join us on a farm tour during our morning and evening farm chores. Our farm was established in 1739 with a rich history in agriculture and livestock. Our cottage is studio-style with an open bedroom, living room, and dining area. There is a kitchette and bathroom with a shower for your convenience.

Clark Cottage in the historic village in Chaplin

Up to 14 day stays are OK. Cottage is empty several days between guests. Virus cleaning protocol in use. This little rustic cottage, circa 1850, has antique charm, yet modern comforts. In addition to a living and dining room, there is a full vintage kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, plus laundry facilities. Very tall people will have to duck under door ways. Not suitable for children under 12. WiFi and a smart TV. Kitchen ceiling is 6'3.5".

This is a great in-law style apartment which was fully renovated in 2020. It can be booked for short stays or more lengthy visits to Northeast CT. The apartment is one minute from Scenic route 169 and Route 6. It is 30 minutes to UCONN and ECSU. We are close toThe Pomfret School/Rectory School. It is 35 mins to Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods. My place is rural and peaceful. It is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families.

Our barn is in a large field on lot next to our home. Our rental area is upstairs which offers beautiful views of our field and the visiting deer. The eclectic decor is accumulated from years of activism. Our guest room and bathroom are newly renovated. It is a quiet and peaceful area near two state parks. We operate a mail order business in the downstairs area but will not be working while guests are staying with us.
