It is a beautiful environment where you can take a walk, a bike ride or swim in Lake Mälaren. Magasinet is separate from the host's home, with its own driveway. Come and enjoy the peace and quiet, or visit all the exciting sights in Mariefred or Strängnäs.

The summer barn at Hovelsrud, Helgøya

The old summer barn of Hovelsrud Gård is idyllically located between Mjøsa and a rolling grain field – a simple and unique place for those who want to get close to nature and enjoy the tranquility of Helgøya. The house is best suited for a couple or a small family with up to two children. Inside there is a bedroom and an open living room. Outside there is a kitchen counter, with a gas burner and barbecue, a small beach with swimming opportunities and an outdoor toilet. There is no electricity.

The Stable, 1700s log cabin by the lake with sauna

A small log cabin on a historic crofter's farm by Follsjø – a lake for swimming and fishing. The Stable sits slightly tucked away from the four other timber buildings on the property, surrounded by a wildflower meadow and grazing sheep. A newly renovated bathroom with shower and toilet is in the barn, just 15 metres away. Outside, a lovely seating area with a grill awaits. Upstairs, there was a carpentry workshop that is now a modern TV room with Wi-Fi, amplifier, Chromecast, speaker system and projector. The shower is in the basement. The balcony facing the sheep meadow has garden furniture and a spa bath. Wood stove in the kitchen. Sauna is available.

Few places are the landscape more conspicious than at Laupstad, where our farmhouse lies just between the sandy beach and mountains. We welcome singles, couples and families of every nationality! Fishing trips is possible. The midnight sun is best experienced by boat after all.
