The house and town were amazing! It was one of the most peaceful places I’ve ever stayed. We spent a lot of our time outside in the fenced in side yard looking at the beautiful views of the river. Sabula was a quiet small town with limited restaurants and bars but Savanna, IL was a quick and scenic 10min drive. We were completely content driving for a meal and staying in the small quiet town. We even had a pizza and tacos delivered from Savanna one of the nights. Right across the street we had access to an open grassy area with seats and a picnic table right by the river which was perfect for stargazing each night. If you’re looking for a peaceful, beautiful place to stay for a few days, this is the spot! Thanks so much for sharing your home with us Peggy!

We stayed here while visiting family in the area, and it was a perfect place to unwind each evening. Everything was as described, and we had plenty of space to spread out. The beds were very comfortable, and the place was squeaky clean!

Matthew’s place was very peaceful and relaxing. I would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet area with lots of of fun things to do within 25min drive. Always very responsi and giving us great tips. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking in that area and already thinking to be back!

10/10 would stay again. Close enough to village center to be right there for the 4th of July parade and close enough to be at any number of local destinations in minutes. Exceptionally charming house, felt right at home.

This is our second time staying at Laura's home and we found it just as clean and comfortable as before. This time we got the chance to use the huge screened in porch and watch the river go by -- what a wonderful spot! This trip was last minute and we were trying to coordinate who was coming and on what days. Laura's communication is amazing. She was so helpful as we were trying to coordinate things and flexible when we needed to extend our stay by a day. This is a great place in Bellevue and a great host!

We had a great time at this location. Our host, Margaret was extremely helpful and welcoming. The house and the property were beautiful and what we were looking for. We had plenty of space for our family to celebrate the holidays. Margaret was very responsive and kind when we had any questions. She even brought a family member's lost coat to the house when a business called her about it. She went above and beyond. I definitely recommend this property and the host.

A Hidden Gem by the Water – A Fisherman’s Dream! This cozy Airbnb exceeded our expectations in every way — the biggest highlight being its perfect location right near the water! My husband loves to fish so he was thrilled to discover how easy it was to grab his gear and head out each morning for a peaceful few hours of fishing just steps from the property. The home itself was clean, well-stocked, and thoughtfully decorated with a charming, rustic vibe that fit the setting perfectly. Waking up to the sound of birds and the sight of the sunrise glistening over the water was pure magic. The host was warm, welcoming, and provided clear instructions and had everything labeled, that helped us make the most of our stay. Whether you’re looking to fish, relax by the water, or simply unplug in a serene setting, this place is a true slice of heaven. We’ll definitely be back!

Beautiful home. Feels very secluded even though there are other homes in the neighborhood. Lovely trails near the home. Owners Club is close to the house - 7 min drive.

We had such a wonderful stay for our girls weekend! The house is beautiful and spacious. The area is so peaceful and beautiful! It is a great place to stay!

We can't wait to come back! Everyone was so friendly and living their best life lol it was honestly a really good time. I love how united all the campers are you have the ones that stay longer and the ones that go for a couple of days like us and everyone is just so friendly. They had a band Saturday night and a bags tournament Sunday so that was a neat surprise. we stayed in cabin 1 and the neighbors are so fun to hangout with! I loved that we could have our furbabies as well and the host was super attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. can't wait to come back and enjoy this little place of heaven on earth. thank you to everyone at the campsite as well. 😊😊😊

We really enjoyed our stay. Everything was clean. The home was spacious. Pond was nice for fishing and a very peaceful place to relax and enjoy the sounds of nature. We would like to rent again next year.

My husband, toddler and I felt right at home here! Every corner of this place is very thoughtfully planned out and it was much appreciated. I even forgot my chargers for my phone and watch and luckily the host had both right next to the master bed! The place feels so incredibly private and peaceful. The outdoor space is so good for grilling, reading under the umbrella on the patio, or bird watching. The beds are very comfy. The living room is so cozy for a night in watching a movie. And we made good use of the nearby pool amenities. Downtown Galena was a short 15 min drive away and I actually looked forward to retreating back to our home base for relaxing. All in all would definitely book again!!

We loved our stay. The house is very easy to navigate and if we couldn’t find something or info- we asked and a response was given almost immediately. Everything is labeled so it’s easy to find things. The house was clean and cozy and the beds were super comfortable! And was super dog friendly! And very clean for a dog friendly place. I was going to give 4 stars because the second Master Bathroom was not working when we arrived and proved to be more than inconvenient with 4 grown adults sharing one shower. In Danielle’s defense- they did tell us about it two days before and couldn’t get a plumber in time. And because of the inconvenience they gave us $100 back to our CC. Which was a generous thing to do. All in all we loved the place and would go back. So 5 stars it is! Thank you.

Rustic River cabins were the perfect cozy getaway for a chilly winter weekend. My sister and I loved being able to have a relaxing night in with a beautiful view, inside and outside of the cabin. I am already looking to book my next trip!

Private, romantic, secluded yet accessible. elegant and tastefully decorated with modern amenities. If you are looking for a weekend getaway or a quiet place to unwind, this gem was a worthwhile find within a short drivin distance of a downtown out of a western! The cabin was so pretty and well renovated we loved it! Already planning to get back!

The campsite is in a beautiful area, just a short walk into a quaint town. It was very quiet and safe. The only drawback was weak wifi, so make sure that you're not planning on a streaming marathon when you're there. We'd love to come back sometime!

The cabin is a beautiful place. With great views overlooking the Mississippi River and a very comfortable setting that makes you feel right at home. The check in process is very easy and flexible on when you’re able to arrive. Thank you for the great stay if I’m ever in the area again I will be booking here

4th time visiting Dan’s RV park. Love staying right on the Mississippi. Had a bonus…….saw the Northern Lights!
