5 Harport is a waterside house on the banks of loch Harport, opposite the Talisker distillery in the beautiful village of Carbost, centrally located on Skye. Tastefully decorated, it has stunning views out over the loch to the Cuillin mountains especially from the decking. There’s a Smart TV with Netflix. Close to local amenities including a small shop and The Old Inn pub which serves food all day and has live traditional music 3 nights a week. 10 minutes to the cuillins and 20 miles to Portree.

Having lived in many different places, I understand how important and difficult it is to find a clean, tidy, spacious and good design place to relax. We explored every corner of Skye and were fortunate to find a special location with the best view in the best part of Skye (My guests described Ardtreck as special! Ardtreck's location sometimes offers incredible views that you won't find anywhere else (including Skye). So we designed and built Ardtreck. The main characteristics of Ardtreck are:

Stunning Skye seafront: calm, cosy, central.

Braidholm is our home on Skye. It's a 19th century building, warm and cosy. Step in from the weather and hunker down in the comfy sofa in front of a log fire. The kitchen is cottage style, with everything you'd expect in a modern home. Two bedrooms upstairs (kingsize in one, twins in the other, all with Egyptian Cotton, 400 thread-count linen) with sea views . Two bathrooms upstairs (one ensuite), a toilet downstairs. Private garden plus parking for 2 cars. 300m from the centre of Portree.

Red Mountain Garden Cottage (Self Catering)

Sorry - Children over 10 only. Red Mountain Cottage is beautifully and quietly situated on the edge of Carbost village, with stunning views overlooking Loch Harport and towards the Cuillin Mountains. This is a small, modern, but very well appointed cottage/cabin has been lovingly created to a high specification, including handmade beds and sills & a feature wall. The cottage sleeps 3, but is ideal for couples seeking a romantic break, as well as for sight-seeing, walking and climbing.

With its distinctive red roof and beautifully finished stone walls Hannah’s Cottage is the perfect couple's retreat on the romantic Isle of Skye. The cottage comes fully equipped with a modern kitchen, luxury shower room and full laundry. Cosy underfloor heating provides year round comfort in any weather. Guest can enjoy a glorious walk down the path through the adjoining croft land to the Penifiler shore enjoying views across Portree Bay and spectacular Quiraing and Old Man of Storr.

Opened in January 2020, the Gate Lodge is a charming octagon with plenty of original character. Warm and well-equipped, it has been completely renovated and sits within the grounds of a working conservation farm. Strictly No Smoking. Only a ten minute walk from Loch Bay Restaurant, the Stein Inn, Skyeskyns and Diver's Eye, the lodge is surrounded by nature and wildlife with stunning views. It offers the perfect, peaceful break. Greyhound Cottage is an ideal base for exploring Skye with many things to see and do close by. It is perfect for couples, families (including dogs) or groups of friends. Our cottage is located right next to The Old Inn which serves great home cooked meals and a good variety of hot and cold drinks including a wide range of local ales and spirits. The inn has weekly live music too with a mix of traditional Scottish sessions and other genres.
