It´s only a 5 minute walk to Tavira city centre, a 3 minute walk to the market and close to all the great Ria Formosa beaches. 'House at the Ria' is located in the green resort of Pedras d’el Rei. Staying here means you’re right by 'Ria Formosa', a long course of sea water with the most wonderful and remote beaches in the Algarve. Here you have all you need only 10 minutes walking distance: restaurants, supermarket, kids club, tennis court, and even a cosy piano bar, located around the swimming pools of the resort, with free daybeds and a lifeguard. It’s the only place near Tavira where you can just walk to the beach!

The villa in Luz de Tavira is located in a rural area and surrounded by typical Portuguese houses, greenery and close to the highway, making it a good base for exploring the region. Within walking distance is a local food market, cafes, pharmacy and an ATM. Renting a car is highly recommended, we have a double carport, free parking on the property and the villa is fully fenced & closed off with a gate. The whole property, house and swimming pool are private (our pool is not heated)

The otherwise sleepy harbour comes alive each morning when the renowned octopus catches are brought ashore and sold in the local market. Tourists who miss this spectacle can also taste this local delicacy at one of the village’s restaurants, which overlook look the colourful fishing fleet.
