All-you-can-use sauna, private rental, old private house

This is a private rental traditional Japanese house that the owner, “JP,” who loves DIY, renovated himself, envisioning an ideal living space, in a 150-year-old traditional house. Perhaps the greatest asset of this accommodation is its one-of-a-kind “egg sauna.” This is a completely DIY sauna, designed and built entirely by JP, with a unique shape that allows heat to circulate naturally.Indulge in a sauna experience you can only enjoy here, enveloped in the gentle warmth of the wood-burning stove. The room also has a traditional Japanese sunken hearth, typical of an old kominka house. You can experience traditional Japanese living, such as enjoying a hot pot around the irori (traditional hearth) or grilling skewers. *Please bring your own cooking utensils, such as ingredients and skewers. The inn is located in a quiet hamlet called Kobusa, nestled in the mountains of Misasaki City, Okayama Prefecture. Right nearby is Nishi-Awakura Village, which is gaining attention as a village focused on regional revitalization and resettlement, and the area is characterized by a rich natural landscape of “satoyama” (wooded areas between cultivated fields). Enjoy a relaxing time away from the hustle and bustle of the city, surrounded by nature and handcrafted warmth.

Also, within walking distance to many museums and one of Japan's three most famous gardens, "Korakuen". Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter is 20 minutes by train, and you can take the Shinkansen for day trips to Kyoto, Nara, Osaka, Kobe, and Hiroshima. Please leave your luggage and travel lightly, "like you live there". There are many shops and restaurants in the city center, so "staying is also fun". We hope you enjoy the extraordinary experience of spending time at the villa, whether you're using it as a base for your travels, relaxing with a book in your room, or building friendships with your group.
