Southhouse - traditional croft with amazing view

LynneRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
South house is in the most beautiful, peaceful location. It was exactly as described - a handmade, quirky home. This was our first visit to Shetland and it was a great base for North Mainland; Esha Ness, Ronas Hill, Yell and Unst. We had already spent two days camping in South Mainland to visit St Ninian’s Isle, Jarlshof, Sumburgh and Lerwick. We were so lucky with the weather and the little beach below the house ‘The Blade’, was perfect to put in a sea kayak or for a spot of mackerel fishing. We would definitely use it again.

Twa Sister's Holiday Cottage

We stayed for two weeks. The cottage was an ideal base for exploring the islands. It was cosy, comfortable and well appointed. Mark and Sam were very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend Twa Sisters.

Great stay! Properly was basic but had everything required and very clean and comfortable. Beautiful location. Sarah was a great host, very quick to communicate and helpful. Would recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful break away from it all, on a stunning island.

Traditional Cottage-Da Aald Hoose, Walls, Shetland

RebeccaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We cannot say enough about the very special place Jacqui and Peter have built on their Croft. The home was comfortable clean and well stocked. The location is perfect to explore all of Shetland but most especially the west side and gorgeous beach walks. There is a lovely walk right out the front door. The working Croft is a whole other wonderful experience. we had the good fortune of showing up during lambing season and had triplets living in the yard. There is lots of great island and wildlife information in the house in addition,Peter and Jacqui are a wealth of information. We feel fortunate to have had the chance to stay there. Do not miss this if venturing out to Shetland.

This apartment was very well situated for everywhere we wanted to go. It was warm, spotlessly clean and well equipped. We have holiday homes ourselves so our standards are high. This ticked all the boxes. Highly recommend

Shetland farm cottage close to local beauty spots

MikendaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We really enjoyed our stay here. An easy drive from Lerwick and great to base ourselves further north for a few days, to enjoy more coastal walks. June's place is clean, spacious and warm. Being located on a working farm, we were able to look out of our windows and see the new born lambs with their mothers (it was lambing season at the beginning of May). The area is peaceful and beautiful and June and her dad, Ivor were welcoming and helpful. Would definitely recommend.
