Waddle Self Catering

The Waddle is a traditional Shetland croft house, refurbished to offer a homely and comfortable stay for guests. Situated in a peaceful, quiet, remote location just over a mile from the nearby village of Walls, tucked in under the hill overlooking a sea-loch, it's a perfect place to enjoy Shetlands wildlife, scenery, peace and freedom. The Waddle is situated on an active croft. We have approximately 250 sheep with lambing in the spring, silage baling in the summer and feeding in the winter.

Outside the patio door takes you onto a decked area which you can sit out on for your morning cuppa or evening glass of wine or to simply take in the scenery . It has the latest air to air heating and air con. We are very lucky to have a hot spot for otter sighting on our door step just a short walk down the field. The sea views and coastal walks makes this an ideal tranquil location.

Located on King Harald Street, the cottage is within walking distance of Lerwick town centre, near various cafes, restaurants, pubs and shops. Please be aware that there are two sets of steps to get up to the cottage (27 in total), so it may not be suitable for people with mobility issues, or prams/buggies.

Conveniently situated near the village of Brae, easy driving distance to anywhere in Shetland. Our cosy cottage is deceptively spacious with 2 good sized bedrooms., kitchen/diner, lounge area, shower room, decking area and large parking area. Small pets are welcome, as long as they are house trained, and you tidy up after them.
