Cabin vacation rentals in San Juan Mountains

The house was in a great location, just 1/2 a mile from my son’s house. The house was well stocked for my dog. I didn’t need to bring my crate! The projector TV was too high tech for me, but we did not need to use it. It was a lovely stay. I hope I can book again next year.

My husband, me and my three children truly enjoyed our stay! We tried to go to Dolores twice a year and more excited to know that we found a new place for the family to stay everything about. It is absolutely perfect we just wish we could bring our dogs 🖤 It was easy access the river was beautiful, cozy outdoor firepit ! The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking and baking! The house was well stocked of anything that we needed that we may have forgotten and the host was extremely easy to contact when needed. We notice some flyers for the ranch next-door and was able to enjoy an afternoon of horseback riding one minute from the home!! The next day, we went ouray our favorite place ! My husband and I rented this cabin for Valentines weekend, and it was exactly as described. The owners are on property but it felt very secluded as the back porch where the hot tub is, is private and away from everything. This cabin was very homey and we absolutely loved the fire burning stove, after sitting in the hot tub out in winter it was what we needed to come and warm up by. The owners supplied the wood for us, and had it started before we even got there. They had all the amenities that we needed to make food. We absolutely loved this little get away and want to do it again.

We totally enjoyed our stay at Bear's Den. It is everything we usually look for in a place to stay. Beautiful location. CLEAN. Well maintained. And allowed our pups to stay with us. It was a little small for the 6 of us....but overall worked out well. The back deck was my favorite and we enjoyed eating and relaxing on the deck. The nearby lake was really fun to take a rental boat and explore. We also visited Mesa Verde and took the grandchildren on the Durango Silverton train. We would highly recommend Bear's Den. There was some confusion on arrival, totally my fault, but Fairly was friendly and quick to respond and resolve the situation. The accommodation was clean with a comfortable stay, a well equipped kitchen and lovely and warm when we arrived. We thoroughly enjoyed using the hot tub both the evening of arrival and morning before we left. This cabin is highly recommended

My husband and I spent a weekend at Al’s place with our dog. This place is so stunning! It is very remote, so be sure to bring groceries and any supplies you need with you. It rained and snowed a bit while we were there so the hot tub was a perfect addition! We went running to a few of the nearby lakes, gorgeous and easy to navigate our way around. Dog friendly and very peaceful. We hope to come visit again in the future!

Awesome lodge. Very cozy lots to do within walking distance. Charming fireplace. Wolf Creek Ski Resort was a 20 minute drive. Restaurants and shopping was great.

Our family was only here for one night but it was awesome!!

This location is absolutely beautiful and even better than we imagined! The cabin is very cozy and is a short walk down to the lake. The area is so quiet and peaceful. Dawn was a great host. Her cabin was very clean, all amenities were as stated and she communicated everything very well. We would absolutely go back to this cabin again!

Description was spot on and this is definitely a place to get away and relax. Amazing opportunities for stargazing and relaxing by the fire. Also, the location makes for a convenient home base to explore Ouray, Telluride, etc. We would stay again if we were to come back to the area in the future!

If you would like to be close to town yet far enough away to enjoy nature this place is Ideal. The sauna is amazing and the property is nothing short of amazing as well. I highly recommend this stay. There is plenty of room to accommodate a large group and still feel comfortable.

We had an incredible stay at this picture-perfect cabin! From the moment we arrived, everything felt peaceful, cozy, and exactly what we were hoping for. The cabin itself was spotless, beautifully maintained, and had that perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. The hosts were absolutely wonderful—welcoming, thoughtful, and truly went above and beyond to make our stay special. But what really made this trip unforgettable were the amazing furry residents, Cayenne and Pepper. Our dogs, Greta and Louie, instantly bonded with them and had the best time playing and exploring together. It was such a joy to watch them all interact. This place was everything we needed and more. We’ll definitely be back—and Greta and Louie are already dreaming of their next playdate with their new buddies. Highly recommend! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

We had a wonderful winter time stay. The cabin was incredibly well stocked which made the snow-machine access only so easy and less stressful. very comfy and cozy. I don't have a single recommendation on how it could be improved. hope to have the opportunity to stay again!

Great host and great air bnb. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway in one of colorados most beautiful river valleys then you'll find no better accommodations than Lee's riverfront home.

EXQUISITE. I wish we could keep Karla’s place a secret because it’s THAT amazing. It feels just like home, it’s amazingly clean, every detail has been thought of and provided (including amenities you didn’t know you needed!). You can tell how much thought has been put into this space for guests and their furry friends, too! The cabin is simply wonderful and Karla herself is a local gem in South Fork. She is kind, responsive, and helpful. We are so thankful we stumbled on this property and we will definitely be back!

I love this Airbnb! It’s in a beautiful location with a very nice host. We really enjoyed meeting Randal and staying at his cabin. It was immaculately clean. Interior is nicely decorated with antiques. Truly a little slice of heaven. We will be back! P.s. There are stainless steel pots and pans!! We cooked a lot of meals here.

Peaceful stay near the river. For the price, I thought this was absolutely worth it. If you’re okay with a cabin that does need a little loving, this is for you! I read reviews that the upkeep could use work and while that’s true, there was nothing that interfered with our stay and we enjoyed the space very much and would stay again.

Great spot to stay while hiking 14’er!

The cabin is really nice and a lot bigger than expected. Location was perfect and amazing backyard. Little light pollution made for great star gazing.

My family and I stayed at this cozy log home for 5 days.The place is very spacious,clean,convenient parking and the views are amazing.Although the road that leads to it includes 3 miles of unpaved section,it is well maintained and excluding the winter accessible with any type of vehicle.The host is very friendly and communicative.We really liked our stay there and would highly recommend it to anyone who likes the mountains.Thank you Kim.

Went to Lake City for work. Had to stay overnight and this cabin was perfect. Crew of 2, each had their own room which was nice. Pretty clean and organized. I would stay here again.

Fun spot tucked between Vallecito Lake and mountains. Our kids loved the bunk room and the patio was great and relaxing! We really appreciated Barney’s hospitality. We would stay here again.

My family loved our days tucked in this cozy cabin in the mountains. We enjoyed hikes nearby. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. The neighborhood was friendly and quiet. We grilled and enjoyed the yard, including daily visits from deer!
