Love in Chianti

MichaelRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This Airbnb was, without a doubt, the best my wife & I have ever stayed at. The house was spotless, cozy, & perfectly located with breathtaking views of Tuscany—but what truly made it unforgettable was Riccardo & his amazing family. From the moment we arrived, Riccardo went above & beyond to make us feel at home. When our rental car plans fell through, he stepped in without hesitation, becoming our personal driver. He took us grocery shopping, showed us around Chianti, & even drove us to Florence twice. Riccardo was always responsive, kind, & genuinely cared about our experience. We didn’t just find a beautiful place to stay—we found warmth, hospitality, & a real connection that made us feel like family. This stay was worth every dollar & more. A true home away from home. If we ever return to Tuscany, it will definitely be with Riccardo.

A beautiful spot in a great location of Florence. Everything is in walking distance, from the train station to the Academia to the Uffizi, this is an excellent place to stay. We are a family of four and we arrived to find the pull out couch nicely made into a bed for our children. The place was spotless as well! The host is super friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend!!

We stayed at Flora House as a family trip with my parents and had a wonderful time. The house is beautiful, peaceful, and perfect for a relaxing vacation. The kitchen is very well equipped, and we really enjoyed cooking meals together with fresh ingredients from the host’s farm. It was a great place to unwind and spend quality time as a family. Highly recommended!

Donella’s place was so beautiful!! If you have a chance to stay here definitely do so!! She puts so much thought and care into every part of the Airbnb. She left us a food basket and gave us great recommendations. The place has 2 beautiful balconies, where we drank wine and watched the sunset. The whole place was just spectacular. There was air conditioning and two bathrooms. Thank you Donella for everything!

My wife and I stayed at Marco’s for a week for our honeymoon. We both loved it. Pool was beautiful and peaceful. The property is fantastic the pictures don’t do it justice. As amazing as it looks in the photos it is 1000 times better in person. The front gate made everything feel so secure. Walking up the steps to the guest house we were hit with a nice floral smell with all the daisies growing everywhere. Such a peaceful and beautiful property. The view was stunning looking over the mountains. The place was perfect. The kitchen was everything we needed and more, the pull out couch allowed us to relax and watch tv at the end of the night. The patios were perfect for coffees and meals. And the bed was nice and comfortable. Marco left a flower pedal heart on the bed for us which was a nice personal touch. We met his parents (who stay in the main house) they were very kind and gave us our privacy. There was lots of information about the area and things to do. Wish we stayed longer

We had a beautiful stay at Barbara’s house - we actually even cancelled some of our day trips just to relax there because of the beautiful views, birdsong and relaxed atmosphere! You need a car to access the house, but it’s only 10 mins drive to the nearest train station directly into Florence. Wonderful hiking trails directly from the house with stunning sights across the Tuscan hills. Such a wonderful stay. Thanks Barbara!

Just a short drive away is the charming town of Vinci, where you’ll find everything you need to make the most of your stay. The wine and olive oil tasting experience is an absolute must—it added such a special touch to our visit. Lorenzo and Eva were both very professional, and their communication was always prompt and helpful. We can’t wait to return to Vinci and would love to stay at their place again!

I loved my week staying at Elisabeth’s cottage. It had everything I needed for a relaxing week away from the city. The town is easy to walk to and Elisabeth gave me lots of tips on how to get around and what to see. She was very friendly and generous with her time, even picking me up and dropping me off to the bus. Highly recommended.

Farmhouse in Chianti

DanielleRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Our Villa in Montespertoli was everything we could have wished for and more, full of all the modern conveniences required to cook if desired. The grounds were absolutely delightful and the hillside backdrop of grapevines etc was stunning to wake up to every morning in a secluded and peaceful place. We enjoyed many mornings having coffee around the poolside deck and afternoons sharing a glass of wine chatting with our friends after our many touring adventures. You definitely need to have a car to enjoy this Villa and surrounding areas like Pisa, Siena, hot Springs, San Gimignano to name a few. Our Caretaker Lia cooked us a delicious Sri Lankan dinner to share on our last night which we enjoyed immensely. Thankyou for hosting us in your home, we didn’t want to leave.

Santo Spirito Studio, Oltrarno area Via Maggio

NicholasRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
My wife and I had a lovely time staying in Patrizia’s apartment, the bed was very comfortable and the amenities were all present as advertised. It is very close to Ponte Santa Trinita, meaning you can walk easily to all of the main sites in the city. There’s a lovely cafe and ice cream spot in Piazza della Passera nearby. Only warning is that there are four flights on stairs to get up to the flat and no lift - this wasn’t an issue for us but might be trickier for some! All in all, we would recommend the apartment to our friends, and would stay again the next time we are in Florence!

Your Happy Nest in Florence

KristinaRating, 5 stars3 days ago
LOVELY, Spacious, Clean home with a beautiful view of the duomo. We loved our stay at Mary + Gio’s. Plenty of room to spread out, good size bathroom + shower. Fully stocked kitchen. The wash machine worked great! The fridge was very clean + lots of room. Comfortable bed. A pull out couch if you need it. We were here in June when it’s hot and the air conditioning worked perfectly. Mary + Gio gave us great recommendations for booking things in advance which was a life saver- we didn’t have to wait in any lines. They communicated up to our arrival with quick responses. Met us upon arrival to show us how everything works + share info about the area. He also carried all our luggage up the stairs which was really nice. It was walking distance to everything. It took 14 minutes to walk from train station to home. Me + my daughter were here and felt very safe in the home + walking around in the evening. If we come back we will stay here! Thank you both for sharing your home with us!

Another amazing stay at Silvia’s home in Santo Spirito. We visited years ago and were happy to find this place still available and are happy to report that it is unchanged and still the perfect spot. We love the location as it is in a less crowded, more local part of the city. The accommodation itself is clean and has everything you need for a successful stay. I hope to visit again in the future. Thanks, Silvia!
