Altar of the Mountains

This traditional Oaxacan house, that has four beds, was handcrafted by local artisans in exquisite adobe walls, a shading porch, furnishings and decor. It nestles in gardens of trees and blooming succulents. Guests enjoy multiple level terraces, hammocks, an outside dining area, a 22-meter lap pool and spectacular mountain views. We are in a Zapotec town with nearby restaurants and have easy transportation to Oaxaca city (20 minutes). We offer tours to villages and archaeological sites.

La Danta Pitayo

La Danta, a Garden retreat within the city center of Oaxaca. Stay in one of four incredible bungalows situated in the heart of Oaxaca, with access to all the best restaurants, museums and sights just walking distance from your front door. You will be staying inside an incredible Garden built over 30 years ago inside the aqueduct that brought water to the city. Villa Rey—Traditional Hacienda Home Near Oaxaca

Our house is a traditional hacienda-type house. The guest bedrooms have their only entries through the outside patio. The private heated pool awaits for a relaxing swim after a full day exploring ruins or touring the nearby pueblos! Lachigolo is a small and peaceful pueblo, about a 15-minute drive from Oaxaca along the Pan American Highway, and around 5 minutes past El Tule. The location makes it a good base for day trips to places like Hierve al Agua, Teotitlan, and Mitla.

Cabin 1 on the mezcal route

Cabin with sleeping platform and terrace viewpoint located on the mezcal route. While you rest, enjoy the scenery of the agave fields, mountains, and stars. Outside there is a shared kitchen that you can use to prepare your own food. The cabin is located on the international highway that connects the capital with tourist places such as Tlacolula de Matamoros, Mitla or Hierve el Agua. All kinds of public transportation pass by on the road: bus, van, or taxi.

The house is on the Mezcal Route... 25 minutes to Oaxaca; 10 minutes to Tule; 30 minutes to Mitla; 37 minutes to Matatlán; 60 minutes to Hierve el Agua.
