this amazing place has wonderous views. you get an amazing sight of Arenal volcano and the sunrise and sunsets are gorgeous. words cannot describe how amazing this place is. Kembly was attentive and gave us privacy. she provided several recommendations in the area of what to do as well. The place is beautiful, very spacious and tidy. Delicious to rest from the ordinary. We were able to walk to the Rio Cuarto lagoon because it is so close and on the way we saw monkeys, birds, squirrels, among others. The property's chemical-free pool was great, both the kids and adults enjoyed it. The attention of both the owner and the caretakers of the property was always timely and they were very attentive to any need that we had. We would love to go back!

Excellent place, very private

The Nest Chalet is a very private accommodation with a wonderful bird's eye view of the cloud forest and surrounding mountains. It was terrific to both see the sunset and sunrise from the loft bedroom and deck. Ever was a terrific communicator, and he provided excellent directions and helpful advice. His property also included many terrific amenities such as laundry and air conditioning. We suggest visiting Ever's soda (Tico y Rico) right in the heart of Monteverde for yummy Costa Rican cuisine and a 10% discount for his guests. We highly recommend this Airbnb!

The place has a spectacular view, ideal for large families and the house is very wheelchair accessible. There is plenty of space throughout the property and the house is spectacularly clean. The kitchen had everything you need for cooking. There are no supermarkets nearby, so it is advisable to do your shopping before you get to the place. I would definitely come back.

Our stay at this Airbnb was absolutely breathtaking! The property was stunning, with every detail thoughtfully designed to create a cozy yet luxurious vibe. We were surrounded by gorgeous nature—lush greenery and serene landscapes that felt like a dream. We were worried the entire trip would be rainy, but to our delight, the skies cleared, giving us an incredible, unobstructed view of the volcano. It was the highlight of our stay! We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect experience and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for beauty and tranquility.

We enjoyed our stay in Monteverde. Yamileth was always responsive and friendly and took the time to greet us upon arrival. I will miss my mornings and nights sitting on the terrace enjoying the view and listening to the birds. Thank you for hosting us!

This location is so beautiful and unique! It is like being in a multi tiered treehouse in the jungle that is a block from civilization. One afternoon we had monkeys visit us and play on the trees around the house and roof! The host and housekeeper are very responsive. Know that some beds and rooms are separate apartments. But the main house is beautiful wood with an open layout that we all met up in by the fireplace in the evening. Amazing memories and trip!

We had a great stay! Host communicated well and we found the home without issue. It is quite remote with a steep driveway, but it was exactly what we were looking for. Charming, spacious home, located just a couple minutes from the Reserve. Some windows were open when we arrived, I’m sure to keep everything ventilated, so there were some moths and such but nothing out of the ordinary for a Costa Rican home. We absolutely loved having access to the washer & dryer to do our laundry mid-trip. We loved our stay!

Perfect spot for staying in the La Fortuna/Arenal area of Costa Rica. Nice cozy villa that had all the necessities. Great view of the volcano, and close to all area attractions. Our host, Gabriela, provided a lot of great information and was always very responsive to any questions we had before and during our stay.

We absolutely loved our stay and would definitely stay here if we came back. The views are amazing, the house was spotless with all necessities and Freicer was a fantastic host- he went above and beyond. If you are going to be in the Monteverde/Santa Elena area, I would highly recommend staying here. A few things to note: the owners do stay in a house on property adjacent to the air bnb but it’s not directly connected, they also have 4 dogs that roam but are super friendly, and there is some noise from the dogs and family on property. None of this disturbed our stay- it still felt very peaceful. I hope I get the chance to return!

We’ve stayed at some cool places over the years, but Casa Del Mono is one of my all-time favorites. It’s a perfect little getaway for anyone who wants to be close to nature but with all the comforts of home. It’s a very private property sitting way up the side of a mountain with a beautiful courtyard and hiking trails right out the front door. You simply cannot beat the view, and waking up to a chorus of birds like toucans, oropendolas, and tanagers was incredible (bring your binoculars)! The house itself is beautiful and well-equipped with everything you need. The kitchen is fully stocked, the bed is comfortable, and the shower/tub are gorgeous. It was everything we were hoping for in a Costa Rican stay, and I hope we get to visit again soon!

Clean and well maintained. It was as described. Not too far from the town. Host was responsive. Overall happy with our stay.
