Family-friendly vacation rentals in Samara Beach

Great place in the middle of everything. We really enjoyed the stayed with the family.

We had a wonderful stay at Pia’s place. Her parents, Gabby and Federico, were great hosts and responsive to all requests. We stayed for 3 months and got to know the area, many of the neighbors, neighborhood dogs, and establishments in Carrillo. The place is in a very convenient location. It’s a walkable distance to everything in Carrillo y la playa. The adjacent forest is typically filled with howler monkeys, iguanas, and a diversity of birds. The house and pool were great. They needed regular maintenance as everything does in this environment, but the owners were typically right on it. Recommended accommodation.

Wonderful location within walking distance to the beach and to local restaurants. The house was spacious and had a nice shaded pool and patio. The host was hard to get ahold of prior to our arrival, however, we had much better communication once we got to town. The house had plenty of room for a large group— the downstairs bedroom had two bunk beds that slept four people, the second bedroom had a queen size bed and a bunk bed, and the master bedroom had a king size bed. The hosts provided a safe, an alarm and a guard at night during evening hours which helped us feel safe. The design of the house is modern and simple. We loved our stay and would return again.

This was a great place where we felt so lucky to have landed! The Villas are off the beaten path but still so close to everything in Samara town. We were thankful to be able to walk to and from the beach without having to spend much time on the busy town roads. The property is wonderfully maintained with beautiful landscaping. Our rental was furthest from the road and wonderfully private and quiet. We were delighted to be treated to so much space both inside and out. It included a large private covered patio with comfy furniture and a large dining table. Inside, the beds were all comfortable, the shower had plenty of pressure and warm water, the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare and clean up meals and there were 3 AC units that made our stay there totally comfortable.

Wonderful week with my family of four! Loved Punta Islita—beautiful beach and resort- amenities available to us! So much wildlife around! We actually loved the separate master bedroom, worked perfectly for us. The pool was exquisite! Highly recommend!

Erin & Peter are great host, they are great communicating if anything happens or needs to be addressed. House is stunning with a priceless view of the beach. About a ten minute ride into Nosara. You can tell Erin & Peter care about their tenants and that is worth a lot when traveling. Highly recommend!

Un lugar para desconectarse de todo, ver el amanecer, los atardeceres y las noches con luna hacen que uno pierda el son del tiempo. No ibamos de vacaciones, fuimos mas bien por trabajo, pero aun asi logramos que la naturaleza nos sacara un poco de la rutina. Exc internet para trabajar Todo estuvo muy bonito

Excellent place to spend vacation time, quiet and peaceful. Loved the family time spent. The house is very well equipped and maintained. Liked very much that kitchen and dining space are separate from the dormitories. Kitchen has very good appliances which makes meal preparation real easy. Don’t need to bring a lot of food along with you since there is a very complete supermarket nearby. There are beautiful beaches nearby within driving distance Simon is an excellent host who keeps proactive communication. Shared swimming pool was excellent to relax and cool off. Definitely worth going back sometime.

Pura vida at its max. Pure relaxation, comfort, safety. Zeidy’s food absolute perfection, the kids kept saying it wasn’t even real, calling it dream food. Pool is bigger than what the pictures show, beach wonderful, restaurant down the road a neat little touch for a dinner. We got horses and massages right at the house. The team is fantastic and Jose was wonderful to line it all up. Our private driver that Jose arranged was just wonderful and accommodating to any needs. We would give 10 stars if we could, just like other reviews. Stay here. Or don’t, which will clear up more space in the calendar for us to come back :) :)

The studio by the sea is wonderful, serene and beautiful. It's steps from the beach, surrounded by lush nature and very comfortable. The space has all the amenities needed to enjoy your stay, well appointed kitchen, bath, linens, beach towel. It's clean and tranquil. Heike and Hans are super friendly, helpful and knowledgable about the area & Costa Rica in general. They were so kind to accomdate our dogs, give them treats, water and lots of love. When we return to Coyote, we will definitley visit with them again.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Drei traumhafte Monate in diesem wunderschönen Haus! Die Ruhe war himmlisch und die Lage direkt am Meer unschlagbar - fast täglich sind wir schwimmen gegangen. Die Aufteilung des Hauses war perfekt für uns. Und das Privileg in so einem Haus zu wohnen war für uns aussergewöhnlich. Danke Roxana. Als Gastgeberin warst du sehr aufmerksam, freundlich und hast alles wunderbar organisiert. Diese fantastischen Wochen werden unvergesslich bleiben und wir wollen gerne wiederkommen!​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Está muy cerca de la playa, se puede llegar caminando, además la playa nos pareció muy bonita, tiene muchos restaurantes a la orilla de la playa que le dan un toque especial, además de canchas de voleibol, fútbol y cerca hacen diferentes tours. Sarina nos recomendó unos y pudimos hacer el de delfines y snorkel. Además el lugar tenía lo que necesitábamos, una vista hermosa y se escuchaba el mar desde el alojamiento.

This is literally staying ON the beach in a casual, tranquil, local Tico neighborhood. If you love the beach and can imagine the convenience of having your house along with you as you enjoy the beach, then you’re likely to love this stay. You know what the tide is doing because you hear it and see it from the house 24/7. The peaceful sounds of the surf, rain and wildlife were our favorite part! Thanks!

Frederica's place is a great location in Pelada, very close to the beach and an easy walk to Guiones. It is a very nice apartment, comfortable and very clean. The only problem was that it is sort of hot at night and the ceiling fans are not very strong. There was a portable fan but it did not work. I should have tested it before it got too late, so that was my bad. I highly recommend this place for its location, comfort, space, and Frederica was very responsive. Just make sure to test the fan when you arrive.

Muy tranquilo y silencioso, bastante limpio y muy bien equipada la casa, bastante cerca de la playa, solo un poco viejos los ventiladores por lo que puede hacer un poco de calor y la vegetación ayuda a refrescar la casa, el vehículo debe quedar afuera pero queda a escasos 50 metros de la casa pero es muy tranquilo así que es seguro, Johannes es un excelente anfitrión, siempre al pendiente de todo, definitivamente volvería a hospedar en esta casa.

El lugar es muy confortable y con bellas zonas verdes alrededor. Las habitaciones tienen A/C y ventiladores de techo. La piscina es fantástica y nos la pasamos muy bien. Jackie fue siempre muy amable y servicial para que nuestra instancia fuera muy agradable. La casa muy cómoda, limpia y ordenada. Dejamos olvidado un dinero en la caja fuerte y con gran prontitud nos transfirió el dinero a nuestra cuenta, demostrando gran honradez, excelente servicio y amabilidad. Hay buenos restaurantes cerca y supermercados locales. Fueron unas memorables vacaciones en familia.

My family of four spent a lovely week at Diego‘s home. The view is fantastic. Lisbeth was always there when we needed her. Proximity to the beach was perfect. We enjoyed the pool which was clean and just the right size. Diego helped us make reservations at Don Ramiro’s on our last night, something I cannot recommend enough.

Très bel endroit propre et spacieux ! La maison est situé au bout du chemin, donc on a l’impression d’être seul. C’est très calme et intime. L’énorme piscine a été un succès pour les enfants! Je suggère d’aller à la plage Carrillo, elle est plus authentique et les couchers de soleil sont magnifique!

I had a relaxing and adventurous stay with my partner at Casa Del Halcon 2 for 10 nights. The casita was clean, roomy, with a great kitchen and an amazing outdoor area. We spent many mornings in the hammocks with a coffee listening to the sounds of the jungle. The gardens surrounding the property are stunning. After a day of adventuring in the area, the plunge pool was the perfect place to cool off and chill out. We enjoyed reading in the shade on the lounge chairs and daybed. Chris was super helpful and welcoming to us. He was responsive to all of our questions and ensured everything was running smoothly. The location is perfect. A minute walk to the local soda where we had a couple of delicious meals. Small grocery store is 5 minute bike ride. Samara is about a 15 minute bike ride away. Buena Vista beach also 5 minutes away where we saw the most incredible sunsets! Overall we would highly recommend staying here for a truly unique experience of Costa Rica. Pura Vida!

Wow! What an epically beautiful place. I highly recommend this AirBNB, Playa Negra, and Costa Rica. Words cannot express how awesome this trip was. We had a family of 5 (kids: 6,4,4). The beach and pool at the AirBNB were exceptional. And Playa Negra beach was very close for great wave action. The town of Playa Negra is charmingly perfect (coffee shop, a couple restaurants, small market). We are grateful for the experience.

Staying at Maria y Cedric’s is like being at home… except in one of the most beautiful places in the world! The hosts are amazing people who are very responsive and accommodating, letting us know about local events and businesses, as well as making sure we felt comfortable, relaxed, and welcomed. We came to stay at a beautiful place and relax, getting away from the daily rush of our lives… and by the time we left, we had gained amazing friends!

Nosara Blue was amazing for our family of four. The house was easy to find, clean, and felt very safe. The onsite security attendants were incredibly nice and helpful. The pool was a treat in the mid-day heat and the dogs were one of the highlights of our stay! Quick walk to the beach, close to restaurants and a market..the location was perfect for us. We’re already looking forward to our next stay. Can’t recommend Nosara Blue enough!

The home was very clean and spacious with everything you need to enjoy your stay. There's a nice bar and restaurant on site with very friendly staff. Would definitely return in the future.

We have just had a lovely week at Andrew’s place.. it was a family get together( three generations) for Christmas week.. There were seven of us and the house worked so well for all of us.. In particular for me, as I always feel responsible for providing meals and this time Grace did a fantastic job providing us with great meals..and keeping the house clean and running well. There was plenty to do in the area, surfing, swimming, walking on the beach, exploring Samara, zip lining, eating out at little places on the beach etc. We loved our stay and felt right at home there.. would not hesitate to recommend if you like peace, beautiful views, a lovely garden and great service.. We hope to return soon
